All the furniture in my apartment is from Living Spaces. We have made at least 3 purchases from this location with no issues at all. Not to mention at great prices! The initial purchase was when we first moved into our apartment. We purchased a 3 seat sectional couch, tv stand, bookshelf, and a dining room table set with 4 chairs all for $1800! We also have a bed set with a Serta iComfort Blue Max mattress and Revive memory foam pillows. All these items were delivered by Living Spaces. They arrived on time with the messaging system accurately reflecting how many stops they had left before coming to our apartment. They were careful and incredibly fast. They even took our old mattress and box spring even though Living Spaces employees say its not guaranteed that they can take the old mattress and box spring. The only thing they did not take was the metal bed frame that I was left to get rid of. I have heard other stories of delivery issues but I have not experienced this at all. I have also heard about issues with returning items. Its important to know and read the return policy. They also ask you every time you make a purchase if you are aware of the return policy and they make sure to walk you through and make you aware of their policies. Be sure to ask any questions before buying and you should hopefully be ok! I will continue to shop here for our furniture needs.
We had a very bad experience with Living Spaces. Poor communication, poor customer service/follow-through, chaotic, disorganized, damage products, etc. We bought two couches and an accent chair. The sales associate, Heidi, checked in the system and all three items were available and could be delivered the next day. Great, right? Well, the next day, they only delivered the chair and one of the couches. Both items came damaged. The chair's lining was falling off, which the delivery person was able to fix. We believe the couch may have been used. Despite it being wrapped up during the delivery, there were scratched and dings in the fabric and crumbs between the seat cushions. They apparently couldn't find the other couch in their warehouse even though it showed up in their system as "1 available". We eventually got an email saying this couch would not be available for OVER a month. If we had known that, we would not have purchased these couches. We are upset between they charged us a $99 delivery fee which is nonrefundable, which WAS fine when we were supposed to get three pieces of furniture. But now that we only got two items, one of which is being returned, we are paying $99 delivery fee for a ~$100 chair (essentially doubling the price of the chair) which is very light and we could have picked it up ourselves! To make matters worse, customer service has been terrible. They say they will follow-up but never do, so we have to reach out to them. We have spoken to 6 different people on the phone and there is no continuity and they often don't know where our case left off. It's been so disappointing and frustrating. Don't shop here!!
Poor quality furniture is sold here. Bought a bed, two night stands and a dresser. Both nightstands were damaged inside the sealed box. So were the next two nightstands. Had to open multiple boxes to find an undamaged one. The bed was supposed to be 2 weeks out. Took 4 weeks to get, it was damaged and not as advertised. We ordered another and it was also damaged and not as advertised. Customer service says they will help but no one has so far. They're like robots. Still no solution to my problem.
This was the Worst Experience EVER!!!! I ordered 2 dressers January 24..and still haven't received them!!! I never received a phone call to advise me that the products weren't available!! I call on a weekly basis and nobody can tell me when they'll be shipped or in my house!!! Never AGAIN!!! Just driving past this business in the future.
We just spent over $6000 dollars on furniture...and they refuse to deliver it without a vacant loading zone on our block. This is our first experience with Living Spaces. We went to the San Leandro store and loved the furniture. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and we decided to buy almost all our furniture from the store (couch, dining table, chairs, lamps, etc). And they'll deliver it all for $129! Delivery is where things get extremely bad (and rude) and Living Spaces refuses to make any concessions. First, the delivery window we're given moves from morning to afternoon the night before. So now we have to take an entire day off work to accommodate them... The delivery team shows up at our building and says they need a vacant loading zone or parking area big enough for their truck *on our block*. We have a loading dock in our building but it's taken by another truck and there's no parking on the street. We ask them to be flexible and unload while double parked into our lobby and then park the truck (IKEA seems to be ok double parking...), they refuse (pretty rudely, "You're not getting your furniture"). We ask to speak to their manager, get the same rude response. We ask them to wait so we can ask the truck in the loading dock to move. The nice people in the loading dock say yes!...but the Living Spaces delivery team leaves before we can come back and tell them... (you can't wait 1 minute?) Given that we can't reserve the loading dock, we can't guarantee parking on the street, and the delivery team's refusal to do something creative (e.g. unload then park the truck), it's hard to imagine how we're going to get our furniture delivered. Our neighborhood is busy with residences and businesses and a lot of people are moving into our building. We call Living Spaces customer service and their response (after speaking with a manager) is this is how it is, it's a contractor (sorry but we purchase from you not your contractor), and we'll have to somehow find a way for them to park on our block. No flexibility especially after spending quite a bit with them. Right now we feel pretty helpless and it's hard to take off work to accommodate Living Spaces with no guarantee they'll be able to unload. We'll see if we actually get our furniture, but, if you live on a busy street, my recommendation is to go buy from somewhere else.
Living spaces offered us a $75 gift card for taking us off the delivery route without notice. THE 1st time, then after everything was said and done we called back 2 days laTer and they said the'd compensate us with a $100 gift card for the entire inconvenience on THEIR PART. We received 2 $75 giift cards! Leave it to LIVING SPACES TO DISAPPOINTMENT TO THE VERY END AND NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEIR WORD!!!
IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO STARS RATING I WOULD. Let my just say this company is flat out just trying to take your money. I purchased a bed frame from their online website and scheduled a delivery for December 26. They never showed up with what I purchased that day When I called customer service they did not even care. I felt like I wasted my time waiting for a delivery and they didn't contact me at all to let me know the status. It was the worst delivery experience. Please save yourself the agony and avoid this furniture store at all costs
After spending $1100 on a recliner and the left side started sagging horribly, I am trying to use the warranty and here is the beginning of my massive run around... see screenshot below. Don't buy from them unless you inspect the actual piece you will take possession of.
Do not spend your money here believe the reviews!!!!! If I could Give negative stars I would. I never write reviews on here ever so for me to write something means that the business is super crappy Long story short ordered and adjustable base for my bed one month ago just received it almost a month to the order date which is ridiculous- The delivery guys came to drop it off and they were supposed to set it up for me and never did because when they delivered they told me that my order had two parts when it only had one and when I asked for the manifest and checked it said one on there only so they basically lied and told me there are two pieces when there weren't so they didn't have to put it together. I called the next day to double check with living Spaces and they assured me that it was only one piece so I scheduled for a rescue delivery For someone to come Put the base together on a Wednesday they told me someone would be at my house six to midnight (a six hour window) for a customer to wait is ridiculous especially having someone to have to wait till midnight for someone to show up that is unheard of!!! No one ever showed wed- Wait it in my house for six hours call them again Thursday they said someone will be there six to midnight again same story nobody ever showed up- 12 hours of my time wasted waiting. I went into the store Friday in San Leandro upset and someone assured me that it will be taken care of Saturday today and yet the same story they told me again we will be priority but I have to wait again from six to midnight. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau horrible service- horrible delivery service- I want my money back and also compensation for wasting so many hours of my time for waiting for someone to never show up!!!!
Ordered a kitchen table online for pick up. Was a little confused on website regarding the pick up and purchase. As my fiancee was purchasing the table, but I was picking it up alone.. so I had to place & cancel the order twice. Both times were fast! Customer service was on point. I wasn't on hold long! The pick up center is behind the building which was a little sketchy to me. When I pulled up, the two guys working were very sweet. One did all the paperwork, while the other got the dolly to get the table & bench. They then both organized it in car for me. Very accommodating. Esp since I already had minimal space because I had a mini fridge in my mother in laws van + my toddler in her car seat. I couldn't drop the mini fridge off as I was taking it to Tracy with the table. But somehow, some way, the gentleman fit it all in my mother in laws dodge caravan! So that was great. When I arrived home my fiancee set up the table. It is absolutely stunning! No issues/cracks. Just beautiful!! For only $395! 6 seater. That's a steal imo.
Do not purchase the "cleaning" warranty; it is way too arduous/nuanced to actually get the service without a lot of headaches. Went in to try to get help with the warranty service, and spoke with the San Leandro store manager where it was purchased....he wouldn't give his last name and had no business card, but he said his name was Jose..."the only Jose in the store"...real professional, huh. In truth, he was glib and condescending. He told us he'd get back to us, since he couldn't do anything on that day.... this was on Dec 31st...still waiting to hear back, Jose! My wife and I were looking to make more purchases (the furniture and pricing was fine), but we will now look elsewhere for our furnishings. The experience with the warranty, and Jose, the pathetically arrogant and absurdist manager, will not go unpunished. One star is quite appropriate here; customer service is paramount. Caveat Emptor!
I WISH I looked at review prior to ordering at this store... oh my gosh it's a nightmare!! I ordered a couch on January 1st keep in mind we payed over 2k for that couch.. it's now almost March, 2 months later and I haven't received an update or anything I called living spaces they told me the item was picked up February 7th and to reach out to the warehouse. So I did and the warehouse is telling me they can't locate the damn order and living space isn't helping me locate this order at al!! So let me get this straight you take my money and can't even follow through to make sure the customer received their order. This is pure RIDICULOUSNESS!! I'll give them another few days before I escalate this with credit card company.
Wonderful service at pretty reasonable prices. Pragya was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. I special ordered a sofa sleeper in a particular color with a very specific type of mattress in gorgeous colors and I'm super excited to get it delivered to my new home.
Such a beautiful variety of furniture. Price points are good. Sometimes floor models are on clearance and excellently priced. Home accessories are lovely. I find the rugs to be very nice with an excellent selection. I love that the inventory is constantly changing...the looks are fresh. So far we have purchased a bed, dresser and a couple if accent pieces. If I needed more furniture I would buy more! I love cruising through this store as a pastime. Customer service is good too!!!
Their delivery service is horrible and their customer service line. We requested morning and got a window of 10:30 am to 1:30 pm which still isn't morning. Randomly updated around 11:00 am and now states between noon and 3pm. They refused to refund me any of the delivery charge even though I missed a whole days work instead of half which is way more than it cost to have this cheap furniture delivered anyway. The rep refused to give me any kind of discount. Instead she offered me a ridiculous $25 discount on feature purchase and said she didn't have a manager available and hung up in my face.
So I'm in the market for new bedroom furniture. I have a king ikea bedframe, omg I'm sooooo over ikea furniture! Some of its good some bad but that's another review. I have a whole queen bed set that was from levitz waaaay back. Solid wood and has lasted me. It's still modern even now but since I'm getting rid of my ikea bed frame decided to let go of my current bedroom furniture and start getting inspo for a new one. We stopped by this location on a Saturday afternoon, short drive from dublin and easy to find. It's located off Washington Ave in San Leandro in an older shopping center. Tons of parking available and a huge brightly lit store front. Upon walking in we were greeted immediately by a rep sitting at the front desk. Right after that we were approached by someone in sales asking if we needed help. We told him we were going to browse and he politely said to let him know if we needed assistance. I loved that approach, can't stand pushy sales people who stay on your a** the entire time :) They have a great showroom in my opinion (I haven't been to any other location). Everything was nicely layed out with clear signs. They don't just sell furniture they have decor too! Throw pillows, rugs, wall art to name a few. As we walked through the show room we were approached again by very friendly, polite sales reps that asked if we needed assistance or needed a stock check. No pushy sales stuff which we really appreciated. We didn't buy anything when we went because I first need to let go of my current furniture but we left with top 3 bed sets in mind. Prices range from moderate to high but not very high. Quality seemed good depending on what you buy and what your budget is. They had solid wood bed sets that weren't too badly priced. I would say it's better than ikea quality and more modern furniture too. They even carry Joanna Gaines decor, now that's inspo! This review is more for the store itself and the customer service aspect. I will be back to purchase one of my top 3 choices and update when I have my furniture :)
Will update when couch arrives !! Furniture is affordable and some quality Great selection of everything Mostly into buying from here bc they finance, low prices and very close to home Went shopping other places for 2 weeks and no place can compare with prices or style we wanted Over all marias customer service was A+ !! Quick easy simple with in and out service, literally Boyfriend and I already knew which models to look at, just curious about finances and which sofa would be better for us- for our situation (evil cat that goes under and nice cat that sleeps on seat) Maria helped us with both couches, compared prices for both, even talked about our cats with us. Very patient. Honest. She brought a sales rep to finish our credit application then finished our sale by walking with us to cashier and finishing up transaction. With us all the way through. Thank you for such a wonderful transaction
I now understand what the majority has been saying about the customer service and operations of Living Spaces. I ordered a bedroom set and a couch set to be delivered 3 weeks later to insure that all items would be available for delivery. Fast forward 3 weeks, the day before delivery, they call to inform us that a part of the bed is not on the truck. Wtf?! Ok.. why didn't anyone mention that yesterday when I confirmed the delivery time? So I call customer service, what a joke. The guy who picked up was not in anyway helpful and as upset I was he did not apologize once for the inconvenience. When I asked for a supervisor he put me on hold forever and then hung up on me. Long story short. I got rid of all my old furniture to make room for the new sets (purchased over $4000) and I'm only getting my couches. So I will be sleeping on the floor for the next 2+ weeks until they figure out the transfers. STAY AWAY FROM LIVING SPACES GO TO ASHLEY FURNITURE OR WEST ELM THEY KNOW HOW TO HANDLE CUSTOMER CARE AND LOGISTICS OF YOUR PURCHASES. A hard pass for sure. Never again Also, I did email the social media people To let them know what happened... what do you think happened? No acknowledgment whatsoever. Like seriously.
I wanted to update my review. It was a drawn out process . Two bad products shipped and a lot of confusing bad communication internally with the different departments. But I do have a replacement now that is ok. My purchase was Nov 11th it's Feb 4th. Wow... Again I give their customer service 5 stars. I probably talked to at least 10-15 of them and each and every one was very patient and nice. The warranty department not so much they should train with the customer service people and learn a few tips. I also give 5 stars to their deliver guys. I had the pleasure of seeing them 4 times. They too were very nice. It was suppose to be free delivery but ended up costing me $100 because I had to tip the delivery guys each time, they deserved it and it wasn't their fault after all Thank goodness I only buy furniture every 10-15 years! I hope this stuff lasts
All these stars goes to the person "Cem" who helped us at the store. We had a very bad experience with living spaces Fremont and the product they sold us but we needed a sofa urgently and hence decided to go to their other store which is in Millbrae. Not only this guy had all the patience in the world with us while we selected the sofa but also helped us get the free delivery after hearing our last experience and looking at the old sofa condition. He also helped us finalize the sofa which would fit the best as per size of our living room. Regarding the store, its very neat and clean but has less selection than Fremont one. Though it's less busier plus staff is more friendly.
The delivery service associated with Living Spaces is one of the must frustrating services I have ever dealt with. We ordered a new mattress and adjustable frame and set up for delivery on a Saturday with old mattress removal. After setting up the mattress the delivery guys said they did not have to take the old mattress with them. I called the customer service line to which they told me the delivery drivers would be picking up the mattress at the end of their route. They never arrived as promised. On top of missing the removal of the old mattress the set up team left piles of trash and cardboard underneath the newly set up bed. I went it to the San Leandro store that evening to try and work this mess out. A customer service rep called the delivery center Okaying a "rescue delivery" pickup of our old mattress scheduled between 6-12PM on Sunday night. We got a phone call from an automated service around 7 PM saying the driver was en route and would arrive at an estimated time of 10:30PM. This delivery pickup was never made either. Now I have to waste more time and go back to the store and try to fix this mess. I bought a couch before from Living Spaces but picked it up myself, probably where there was no problems. I cannot encourage anyone in good faith to purchase anything from Living Spaces after this current debacle. After spending close to 6k on this bed you would expect the company to hold up their end of the bargain made when purchased.
They have good selection with some centerpieces starting at $1! We got 4 beautiful pillows that were on sale for $6 or $9 each! They will look great on our sofa. The process to check out did take rather long unfortunately. We were seated at a dining table while our pillows were scanned on an iPad and then later taken to a cash register. The cashier took 5 minutes to just separate all the change into the correct slots in the cash register. I would hope that they would've done this on their own time previously. The cashier and our iPad person took an additional few minutes to communicate what was going on. The whole transaction took about 20 minutes for some reason. Hopefully they can get a more efficient system soon!
So the nightstand came in. There was a hole in the box, but it seemed like it would be ok, since it was between the legs. Got it home and unboxed it. And the corner of the front was damaged. So...they re-ordered it...and over-charged me. I had used a discount coupon in the first one, but they didnt reapply it to the 2nd. I called and they had it corrected, but still. Then they told me it would be delivered to the store, and they also did that thing where they already ask you when you are coming to pick it up...which is especially annoying when they called back later to tell me that the one they has allotted to me not only didnt make it to the store, but the one they pulled was also damaged. When I placed the initial order, I selected Feb 4th as the pickup date, and as of 2/17, now have no idea when I'll be able to have an intact nightstand to pick up.
My co worker suggested I come to Living Spaces. From the time I entered I didn't feel welcomed.I was not greeted. Not a hello, nothing. Everytime I tried to get a sales associates attention, they would hurry off and pretend to be busy. Very disappointed that I traveled from San Francisco to Millbrae for horrible customer service. Very disappointing experience.
We had a horrible experience with Living Space's customer service and delivery. Reading the other reviews, it appears that our experience isn't an exception but the norm. We ordered an Alton Cherry dresser and set the pick-up date on 2/23. On the 23rd, we rented a pick-up truck and arrived at the Millbrae store at around 1PM. However, the store crew then informed us the item wasn't ready for pick up because it was damaged. We don't feel that Living Space respected customer's time because they could've at least sent me a text that morning. They asked me to either pick up from another location that's 30 miles away, or come back another time. To be fair, the store offered store credit, but it's not enough to make up for the truck rental or the time wasted. And funnily, the lamp we bought with the store credit turned out to be damaged as well... I visited the store again the next day to actually pick up the dresser, and guess what, the dresser is still damaged. I called customer service and they said that we have to take it back to the store ourselves to get it exchanged. So at this point, we think we'll probably just eat the loss and live with the damaged dresser. I can't imagine we have the rent a truck three times to get a good dresser.
We just moved here from New York and man living spaces is amazing. Heard about it through a friend and at fIrst when we got there I was hesitant. It was a large show room style and I was more familiar with IKEA. But to be honest. The prices were pretty comparable and the style was nicer for sure. The great thing is the associates were extremely helpful and the best part of it all delivery and assembly was one price for as many pieces aaa you want. We furnished our entire apartment from there. No issues on delivery or assembly. It was next day surface. Just great.
My bf and I ordered a sofa last Sun and chose today, Feb 23, as the pick up date because we're both off. Throughout the week we looked into possibly renting a Uhaul truck, reached out to my uncle to maybe help us with the transportation, and asked my bf's coworkers to assist with hauling it up into our apartment. Yesterday, I spent all day cleaning. (We recently got rid of our living room furniture we've had for 5+ years, thought it was time for a change). I was sure I was supposed to get notified about my order (pick up starts at 12 pm) and when I didn't, I called customer service at 12:30 pm, spoke to Martha, and was advised that our sofa did not make the transfer. WTF?! You guys had a full week to plan accordingly. Why wasn't I notified sooner? That's what I'm more irritated about. Such an inconvenience. There should be a manifest of all outbound items and if one or more don't make that schedule, they should notify customers right away.
I thought everyone that worked at this store was great and helpful. However I had a warranty issue. The item broke and Living spaces replaced it but they would not take the old unit back. They stated it was my responsibility to dispose of it. I was kind of shocked that the item they sold me broke in under a year and they did a good job replacing it but that I needed to find a way to dispose of the broken item. The lady on the phone in their centralized customer service line was callous and borderline rude. She said well we took care of our part and replaced the unit so you need to find a way to dump it. Seems like a non customer focused way to think.
Don't trust their store pick up notification. I received text that my order is available to pick up from 12-9pm. and I also recall my salesman who informed us that if the order is not picked up, they will be returned to fremont and will be charged. Due to above reasons, came to pick up my order to be informed that my order is not even ship from fremont store and will be ready tomorrow. If so, why bother texting? I will not purchase anything from living space again due to poor system.
Just moved in April and went to Living Spaces in Millbrae at the end of April to look for a dining room set. I saw one online that was on sale and I loved the style of - was able to see on display at the Millbrae store. Went to the store to check it out and loved it even more in person and spoke to a sales rep (who was nice, but definitely very sale's person like). I have no problems with sales reps being in your face, I understand they are trying to make a living too but I can also see how that can turn some people off. Went ahead and purchased the table on sale, asked if they had new ones in stock and not "As Is" as seen in the showroom (with scratches). The sales rep checked and re-assured there were a few in stock. We purchased chairs from a different dining room set that we liked better and were also on sale. Sales rep confirmed they had plenty of those in stock as well. Went ahead with the purchase (a big one), a large extendable dining room table with 8 cloth chairs. Really excited and happy we bought a large (and first) dining room purchase for a great deal, great design. Weird thing was the Sales Rep mentioned we could get the dining room set as quickly as next weekend (which was not true, they shouldn't say that). Anyways - our dining room set was scheduled to arrive 2 weeks later (which is fine I guess...a bit disappointing). Fast forward 2 weeks, delivery guys come (the delivery texting/scheduling I liked), and the first thing the delivery person says to me "DID YOU ORDER AN AS IS TABLE?" and I immediately knew something was off. The warehouse manager was so confident in my order that I ordered an AS IS table (meaning used, from the showroom, scratched), that he sent it with the delivery guys. Nowhere on my order invoice stated that. The delivery person calls customer service to double check, and they confirm my table is supposed to be new. So now I have 8 chairs and no table. 2 weeks and 2 days later, my table FINALLY arrives. I have been without a dining room table for over a month. 3 days ago was the first time we used all the chairs (there's only 2 of us in the house). We found out 3 chairs were cracked at the base and legs, only because those chairs were finally used (because we finally got a table to use them with), and they began to wobble. Turned them over, the wood was cracked. Called customer service, sent a warranty claim with photo evidence. Just received an email back saying we are approved for 2 chairs to be exchanged and will be contacted for shipping costs. SHIPPING COSTS? I think not, after experiencing the wrong table order, 1 month delay in table arrival, AND 3 broken chairs, now they expect me to pay for shipping costs? I will update once I get this situation finalized. Living Spaces customer service has been good the last 2 times I called in regards to asking where my table was, and about the cracked chairs. Other than that, I don't feel like Living Spaces as a company themselves understand how or want to make amends with their mistakes and with making the customer happy and wanting to come back. If it gets worse, I will update my review to 1 star. Otherwise, the furniture looks (and price) are GREAT, not so sure about quality and shipping.
Despite the super scary reviews, we still went ahead and bought a couch from here and got it delivered a-ok. We went to the Millbrae store twice, probably about 20 min. the first time to look around and then a second time to actually order a couch. Umit helped us both times and he was really nice and helpful, while still being no pressure. Ordering itself took less than 5 minutes. Buuuuttt... we knew most of negative reviews came from delivery experiences, so we held our breath. But it went great! We got a text the night before giving us a 3 hour window (9-noon). From checking on the site, we knew that we were the third stop, so it might be closer to 9 a.m. Right around 8:30, we got a text telling us delivery would happen around 8:50.. and there they were! We weren't missing any parts, thank goodness, and Manuel and his crew did a quick delivery and assembly. He was really nice too. So far, our reclining couch works great, and it's pretty comfortable. No, no one asked us to do a review. We are not getting anything by writing this. And yes, we personally know of people (sister, and a good friend) who had HORRIBLE delivery experiences, but I'd thought it might be helpful to hear of an experience gone right. If I had to take a wild guess, I would think who you draw up as the delivery guys might make the experience good or bad. Looking at the receipt, it seems like the delivery is done third-party. And maybe you need to get lucky and get a good person at the warehouse making sure all parts are loaded on the truck. I didn't ever call the 1-800 number, so I can't comment on that at all.
Horrible customer service if you need anything repaired under their warranty service. Our claim was entered on Dec.14, 2019 and as of today (Jan.31, 2020) after either being told my claim can not be found or disconnected, or left on hold for 15 minutes, my chair has not been fixed or replaced. To add insult to injury Living Spaces sent me a questionnaire asking me how great I think their service is.
The staff in the Millbrae store are great. We had a wonderful shopping experience, and MacKenzie in the mattress department couldn't have been more helpful. It's so disappointing that I feel I have to give my overall experience with Living Spaces a one-star rating. The delivery and subsequent calls to customer service attempting to remedy the issue were terrible. I don't know; I feel like when you're spending several thousand dollars in one go, a company would be eager to resolve any issues quickly and satisfactorily. I would never have made the purchase if I had known what I was getting into. Now that I see the other reviews here, it's pretty clear my experience wasn't isolated. I hope that anyone considering a big purchase at Living Spaces will be helped by this and other accounts and will think twice.
Very big store, contemporary but heavy styles, annoying sales people. I've been here multiple times hoping to find a contemporary light looking tv stand/bed/sofa, you name it. It starts with the huge store which is filled with lots of different furniture pieces. Everywhere you go there is a person who tries to "help you find something." They will not let you browse. As you move from section to section, you'll hear from all of them. This sales team behavior did not enhance my desire to purchase anything. Then the styles. Each style by itself looks contemporary, but overall they all look dark and heavy. Even in the young people section! Moreover, most of them are very expensive and not in stock. I would not recommend Living Spaces as your go to furniture store. There is lots of room for improvement.
They deserve ZERO stars. HORRIBLE service. There are so many other furniture stores with better quality furniture, service, and prices. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We should have never ordered our daughter's bedroom set from this company. It all began when our daughter liked a bedroom set they had back in October 2019. We waited a couple of weeks for the product to be restocked. Once it was restocked in December we placed the order. They guaranteed delivery Dec. 26th. I received a call a couple of days before saying our order was delayed and they would call once it reaches the warehouse. We never received a confirmation call. I kept calling them to check on the status. Keep in mind I paid for the bedroom set in full when I initially placed the order. When I finally got a hold of someone on Jan 2nd, they said they can deliver same day between 6pm and midnight! I immediately agreed because it was already a week delayed. When they finally arrive on the 2nd, the delivery men were so nice by the way, and brought furniture in the room they realized they don't have the hardware! What kind of QC check do they have in place? Is it their first time delivering?! Anyways, the bed couldn't be assembled! We called them and they said they'll have someone come next day between 8-3pm. My husband took a day off work to be home to let them in. Around 2pm my husband calls and finds out they are not coming!!!! They apologize and schedule for another delivery on the 3rd between 6-midnight again. But no one shows up!!!!!! We call again and they apologize, again, and say someone will come on Saturday. Saturday morning I receive a text saying my delivery is scheduled for Monday the 6th! No way we are taking another day off work. This is 100% their mistake and they are not acting accountable for the mistake- this is what frustrated us. Mistakes happen and if they had a proactive approach to things and were sincerely apologetic I wouldn't have cared. But they acted as if they have nothing to do with the mess up that happened. They did offer us a $50 gift card, which not to sound ungrateful, is really not sufficient given the level of their screw up. We spent over 2k on the bedroom set and lost a lot of time and money just to receive this incomplete bedroom set! All this time my daughter has been sleeping on the floor and the house is a mess because we can't return items into her room until they finish. I called again this morning and they said they will send someone out today from 6pm to midnight to deliver the hardware. Let's see if they actually show up. Living Spaces, you guys dropped the ball on this. Thanks for not acknowledging the mistake you made or going out of your way to fix the issue. It's completely unacceptable.
Great location have good attentive sales reps. But they have a horrible customer service on the phone. We bought a couple of furnitures and bed in the store. The sales person was great and helpful. But when I had to call customer service that's when everything went down hill from there. I don't like giving negatives reviews. I even went back to the store a couple of times hoping to have a better and positive outcome. I guess I have to keep hoping then.
I came here with my wife and man this is a bit overwhelming. There is a lot going on. Overall this place is a bit disorganized just due to its sheer size. The staff is very nice, they have a greeter and that person informs you that they are not there to get any commission and are just there to help out the customer. I thought that was kinda funny, then again it was nice to know they aren't pushy for a sale, or are they? Why I say that this place is a bit disorganized is that we are trying to get a sectional couch. The sectional couches are on all three floors. Ideally, I would've liked just having all the couches grouped together. They aren't just on different floors but also are all spread out. The majority of the items they want you to purchase appear to be on the 1st floor and the items that they don't really need to sell are on the 3rd floor. What I do like about Living Spaces is how customizable everything is. You can order each piece to fit that size of the space that fits your area. That being said, there are some items - that do not have a paper to fill out - that are sold as is. That is because they are out of stock of that item and can only sell you what is seen. Staff is pretty friendly. They help as needed and just walk around. They are generally informative and if they do not know the answer they bounce questions off one another. We ended up not purchasing a couch here; mainly due to price and found a better deal elsewhere, although we would consider coming back here in the future.
I am currently going through a remodel and thought I'd stop by here to look at all the options. The moment I entered I was greeted and given directions on how to use their mobile system. I was blown away by all the options that are available since the last time I shopped for furniture which was almost ten years ago. There is different quality levels for all budgets. There is even the outlet center which houses former floor items and returns at a significant discount. They also have a children center that can house you kids while you shop. Over the course of the hour that I was there, I was greeted by over ten employees who were very friendly. I will be back to finalize a purchase.
I am so pissed at your online shopping e experience I am ready to cut up my Living Spaces card and never buy anything again. No drop down option to check out with L.S. credit card, no option to choose pick up in store either. Customer service is clueless as is the i.t. dept on what's going on on their own website. I just wanted my rug... Oh well goodbye Living Spaces!
The experience purchasing furniture at Living Spaces was fine. The sales associates were helpful it was just after purchase and receiving the furniture that became problematic. We decided to rent a uhaul and pick up the couches ourselves. Once my husband got there the furniture was boxed and wrapped and he asked to inspect the furniture before loading it on the uhaul. He was told no because it was too much of a hassle for them to remove all the packaging and that he can do that at home. If there were damages he can bring it back. He argued he did not want to have to load up this heavy couch again to return it and they assured him that if would not be damaged it was brand new from the warehouse. Once we got it in the house and removed the packaging it was damaged. We called customer service and told them the situation and we were told that the couch would be replaced and delivered free of charge for the inconvenience. We thought great problem solved. We followed up the next day and customer service rep was extremely rude and accused us not inspecting the furniture and implying it was our own fault and that we would have to pay for delivery. That's fine that we have to pay for delivery but the customer service rep was just absolutely rude and condescending. Warehouse workers should have allowed my husband to unwrap the furniture and inspect it but they didn't want to have any type of extra work and dismissed his concerns. Horrible experience be extremely wary of purchasing furniture here. Once they make that sale any type of real customer service is thrown out the window.
Although we didn't buy any furniture this time around, we have purchased furniture here in the last when we first bought our home. Bought my bed and dining room set from here. On this visit we were looking for a nice sectional and there were several people that came by asking us if we needed help, we were told about the warranty and important details of a certain sectional we kept eyeing. You can tell the employees are not on commission because they weren't pushy. The warranty sounds like a great deal especially for the motion recliners with motors. The furniture seemed overpriced but it also seemed of great quality, so you get what you pay for. The clearance area had tons of furniture, most of which was nice.
What a NIGHTMARE!! On 1/17/19 I purchased a Stearns & Foster Firm Pillow Top Queen Mattress, I paid $1,990.91. My delivery was scheduled for the following day between the hours of 8am - 3pm. Immediately after my mattress was delivered I began to smell a very strong chemical order. Unfamiliar with "Off Gassing" I wasn't sure if the smell was from the plastic covering or the mattress itself, so I decided to let it air out. I left the mattress uncovered in a spare room for several days, with no luck the odor was still very strong. Five days later on 1/23/19 I noticed the trim on the pillow top was starting to come undone. I immediately took photos and contacted the store to notify them of the issue. I was instructed to fill out a form online and include the photos I had taken of the tear. An appointment was made to have someone come out to inspect the mattress on 2/5/19 between the hours of 10am - 2pm. The inspection of the mattress was done as well as an inspection of the bed frame to ensure I had the correct bed frame needed for this mattress. Once the inspection was done, I was told I would hear back from Living Spaces in regard to the exchange of the matttess. On 2/14/19 I contacted Living Spaces to follow up on the inspection since I hadn't heard from them since the inspection on 2/5/19. I was told that the inspection report was not complete yet and would be contacted as soon as it was done. I was finally contacted on 3/21/19 and told my mattress would be exchanged, however the mattress I had purchased was discontinued and I would have to come in and pick out another mattress. On 3/21/19 I went to Living Spaces to pick out a new mattress, another Stearns & Foster Plush Queen Pillow Top, I paid $2,089.91 for this one, which was more expensive than the previous one. I was also told to come in the following day to smell the mattress, since the first one had a horrible odor for several weeks. My new mattress was scheduled for delivery 3/26/19. My new mattress arrived on 3/26/19 with a slight odor for several days. I kept the mattress for the 120 trial period in hopes my body would adjust to the mattress, but had no luck and decided to return it. The constant back pain every morning was unbearable. Now this is where this nightmare becomes worse. A return was processed for the mattress and a pick up was scheduled for 7/16/19. Under Living Spaces refund policy, once the item is received and inspected, a refund will be made within 48 hours and the refund will be issued in SAME METHOD OF PAYMENT THAT WAS USED IN THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE. ON 7/19/19 I called Living Spaces to follow up on my refund since I hadn't received my refund yet and had purchased the mattress with my debit card. I was told that my refund had been processed and to give it a few more days to post. On 7/23/19 I phoned Living Spaces again, it has now been a week since my mattress was picked up. I was told that my refund had NOT been processed, it was incorrectly put in as a store credit and would have to wait ANOTHER 7 to 10 days for a CHECK to be mailed out to me. Wait a minute!!! I paid with my debit card and your policy clearly states the refund is given in the method the order was placed within 48 hours. It's been 7 days and you want me to wait another 7 to 10 days!! I explain to the person on the phone that I have been sleeping on the sofa for a week now and need my refund to purchase another mattress. An apology was given, but was told I can't help you and you have to wait. I speak to a manager later in the day and was told the best they could do is cut me a check 3 days later that can be picked up at the store. On Friday 7/26/19, 10 days since the mattress has been picked up, I call the store to confirm the check is there to be picked up. I am told it is, so I drive to the store to find out the check is not there!! I immediately get on the phone and call corporate and am now being told there is nothing they can do and I now have to wait till 7/31/19 for them to be able to cut a check!! By this point I am extremely pissed off and I demand my money immediately. The person on the phone tells me she will call me back in 20 to 30 minutes and to wait in the store. I refuse to hang up and sit on hold. During this time, a manager at the store tells me she is going upstairs to see if they can cut me a check. 15 minutes later she came back down with a check in hand. BUYERS BEWARE!! Review the other reviews made as well as mine, I wish I had prior to purchasing anything from this store. The service I received was horrifying, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get competent help. Also, you have to pay a $199 restocking fee. With all of the trouble I had to go through since the initial order placed, the least Living Spaces could do is REFUND the $199 fee they IMMEDIATELY took while making me jump through hoops to get a refund that took 11 days instead of the 48 hours their policy guarantees!!
I am so glad I read the reviews first before shopping here. Thinking of going today, but not now. Living spaces will not get my business. I will make sure and let everyone know Costco is the place to go as you can always return anything and be satisfied.
I had a great experience here. My fiancé and I stopped by 30 mins before closing, our salesperson helped us out and the couch was delivered damage free right on schedule. Price was very reasonable. Thank you living spaces La Mirada!
Gave them another try since my last review. Spent over $4k in purchase here recently. They used a vendor to deliver my rug and it was stained. I superseded their 7 day policy for returns. I was still moving home and didn't get to unpack it until after the 7 days. After spending over $4k they couldn't accommodate a customer this one time. I was planning to spend even more here and more in future. But because they couldn't show me accommodation now they will not have anymore business from me. Failing to accommodate me for this one rug incident will cost them thousands in sales for the future. Taking care of the customers is always good business
Don't know where to start but there furniture really Sucks!!! I purchase a kitchen table With seats over a year ago . And since it got delivered there was no issues but every month the quality has been degrading . The table makes to much noise , and the seats are always loosing up that parts are already coming out . Super low quality furniture from living spaces ..never again will I purchase any furniture from this low quality place !!
I sure wish i had read the reviews before buying at Living Spaces and entering a nightmare. ordered on line to pickup in store. It was a gift to the card holder differed from the person picking up purchase. (same last name tho) was told it could only be picked up by card holder. (not going to happen as 2hrs away) no amount of phone calls could change that and was hung up on. angry yes but there was no foul language verbalized and under no circumstances is it okay for a customer to be hung up on. Had to cancel the order and repurchase on the card of the person that was picking it up. Then was told that they couldn't pick it up til the next day even tho it was already in store. That it had to be allotted to them even tho it already was and made them aware that the order was cancelled and repurchased. NEVER NEVER AGAIN. wouldn't have even continued except that it was part of matching bedroom furniture. What should have been a very exciting time to furnish your own place for the first time, turned out to be a horrible experience. **SHOPPER BEWARE**
Huge selection of furniture. Outlet center is fantastic with great clearance and floor model options. All the workers were extremely helpful and nice during the whole process. Highly recommend!
Yet again. Living Spaces what a disappointment. I had to call them since my mattress is still under warranty. The gentleman that answer transferred me to the warranty department. The gentleman from the warranty department told me they didn't take care of that brand of the mattress to call customer service again so they can direct you to the right place. I called again they told me they don't do return or exchanges on mattress. I asked to speak to a manager. He started that they would have to call me back. Well, they didn't, I called again and finally a lady got me to the right place. The Tech that came out super nice. It was determined that it need to be replaced. Someone from Living Space called and stated we had a month to do the exchange. We had no choice but to go into the La Mirada store to pick the new mattress. We picked it and we also needed a base we also upgraded to a king with a base. When I got home I notice that the base they sold me is two individuals. I notice online that there was a solid base of $300 less. They never disclose that to me they just charge me the more expensive one. Courtesy lets your customers know they have opinions and let them decide if they want to pay more or not. I called to ask why this happen. I did get the run around and that a manager was going to contact me, but never did. I called again this time I got someone to help me. They didn't understand why at the time of the sale it was not disclosed to me that the base I should receive was out of stock and offer the other one. Instead, they just charge me. The lady on the phone found out that the base I should of gotten is back in stock. Now the store need to redo the sale and I had to go back in the store. Do to this mess I told 3 associates to cancel the delivery until it was resolved. Well while I'm in the store right now I get a call from the delivery company that they are at my house to delivery. I'm so upset that this company needs to retrain all there, associate. Now that I'm in the store Dan the OPS Manager was able to redo the order. But honestly what a bad experience with this company.
I ordered a reclining chair for my 90 year old grandmother for Christmas. The delivery guys left the chair in the foyer and not the den. They said they could not move it to the den. When i called the store and spoke to the sales representative, she said the manager said nothing could be done about this. When i asked for my money back, they said okay, 10% restocking fee and delivery fee. So unhelpful. Not willing to look at there side or to help make the customer happy. The delivery persons were rushing for there Christmas deliverys and didn't want to do there job, now we are stuck with Living Spaces below standard work. Stay clear of this store. The employees and managers are not helpful at all.
Living spaces has the worst service that I ever experience. I don't recommend this place for furniture or anything else that they sell here.
2 stars for delivery. It's currently 11:39pm on December 23rd. We have been waiting for delivery since 8am...we called. We were told we were in the queue and we would be sent a text when they were on their way. So far no text. At 9:30pm we were told they were 2 stops away. I tried calling and they are now closed. So we now get to sit here and wait. Until they come. They need to get better forms of communication between their drivers and customers. This is ridiculous. As much as I want to like living spaces, this was awful. Left a bad taste in my mouth and will most likely go else where in the future. For a big name company, their delivery service could improve immensely.
Marina! Thank you for all your help. You made a potential stressful experience very seamless and easy. Very informative, engaged, personable, and caring. I'm looking forward to our new sectional
Wish I could give them 0 stars. DO NOT GO HERE! We ordered a rug from this company a long with thousands of dollars spent here on furniture and the rug was ordered incorrectly. The package was labeled correct, but when we brought it home, we saw that the rug was incorrect. We called up the store and asked them to do a swap of the rug and bring the correct rug so we do not waste more time. They refused to do so, so now I have to wait another day and go back to the warehouse To pick up the correct rug. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The "manager" was no help at all!
Spent my day off at will call for an hour just to pick up the wrong rug. Called customer service and they offered a $50.00 gift card and for me to go up there again on my day off. Horrible customer service! They could've at least done swap at my home for the inconvenience! I spent THOUSANDS here and they are making a big deal over a one hundred dollar delivery.
I purchased a sectional about 6 months ago and at this point I wish I never had, Living Spaces sent the wrong cushions 3 different times. The "customer service" is useless. I'm still waiting on a phone call from a manager or someone that can fix this issue...but nothing. I have to go around in circles. I just want a couch with the correct cushions. Seems easy right? Not with this company. I'll never buy anything from them ever again. Waste of time and money.
Today we had a wonderful experience at Living Spaces. We arrived and like many other furniture businesses, we didn't have to worry about the desk at the front door with sale staff waiting for their next customer. We walked the large display floor and were approached a few times and questions were answered. Sales Rep LeShun did an awesome job getting our questions answered and order completed. She even grab sodas and cookies for my wife and I! We ordered a recliner to be delivered to a condo in Miami and everything was so easy and the delivery charge was the standard charge. We will be heading back next week to purchase a few more items after we do some measurements. I highly recommend this location and the good news being from McKinney, there will be a new location in Frisco in Spring 2021. Hope you enjoy your experience.
This store has a great selection! We thought we would need to visit several stores to get everything we needed, but this store had exactly what we were looking for. We purchased 3 large pieces and were able to set up delivery for the next day (they actually offered same day, but it would arrive too late for our preference.) The next day we got a call that there was an issue with our delivery. It would be late. The same time frame that we had rejected the day before. I explained that I have a small child and did not want furniture delivered after her bedtime. They told me they would do their best to deliver within my original time frame, and they did!!! The pieces were in perfect shape, and delivery was courteous and efficient. We are looking forward to shopping here again.
We ordered our sectional couch online and had it delivered to our new apartment. The delivery guys were polite and quick with assembly. The couch is higher quality than I thought and came with accent pillows. I would definitely purchase from here again.
We came here to check out the store. It's impressive. The styles and prices seem like great deals! We were approached by several to help us but we were just looking. We left but later that night decided to purchase the bed we looked at which was in stock and available for pick up. We purchased and picked up the next day. The process was pretty quick and everyone was very friendly. Fast forward to when we get home and start unpacking the product. The bed we bought was rusted. This is so frustrating as this is brand new! Highly annoyed I called customer service and explain the issue. They advised they can return or exchange and I wanted to exchange. They said I could bring it back and select new and should probably examine everything before we leave. We get to the dock to exchange and apparently the RMA hadn't been requested. The ladies at the dock are very friendly. We finally got our bed and examined it before driving off. Ultimately this place hasn't been open very long. Everyone is friendly and means well but there are definitely some growing pains here and some things they are trying to figure out as they go along but the quality of the product we received initially was so frustrating. If you do purchase from here- examine everything very carefully before you drive off. I would say I originally had this review at "2" stars (after we replaced the rails) but the people at the back dock made up for the inconvenience. They gave us a GC and free delivery off our next purchase whenever we decide to come back. I wasn't expecting that and will come back and try them again. They also mentioned they would be contacting the vendor regarding this product. It was clear this was a vendor issue as the vendor painted over the rusted steel.
Amazing furniture store. There are tons of variety to choose from and the staff are so nice. The store itself is incredibly big and bright with a huge selection of home furniture, decor and related goods. Prices here are relatively decent and quality of the products are above standards. You can easily spend a couple of hours here shopping and drink the free Starbucks coffee that they have for all customers. They even have a play area for kids with a huge playhouse that my 3 years old nephew could not stay away from. Has a great time coming in here and just browse. The next time I'm here, that dining table in the back will be mine.
I URGE EVERYONE TO PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE PURCHASING FROM THIS STORE!!! Please read the reviews on Better Business Bureau and save yourself the headache. In June 2019 I purchased an area rug for $995 and paid $135 additional for the "Care Free Plan." Just a few months later the rug has several rips in the fabric. The Care Free Plan has refused the warranty claim even though their warranty clearly states that rips are covered. Living Spaces is refusing to do anything because the rug is considered an accessory. I will never purchase here again. They do not stand behind their products and will sell you on a "warranty" that is pointless!
I spent over $3850 on a kids bedroom set and EVERY piece delivered was damaged. They offered me a discount of 10% to keep damaged furniture. I don't think so..... The drawers weren't even leveled and nails were coming out of the dresser. The nightstand was chipped. Every piece delivered had damage. I'll NEVER shop here again. This store is overpriced, overrated, and quality control is seriously LACKING!!! Living Spaces you just lost a customer that would've spent 20k+ on furniture to furnish my house. My money will be spent at Ashley furniture where I don't have these issues. This is just some of the damage. The rest was in the truck. The warehouse allowed these pieces to be delivered. Thanks for wasting 4 hours of my time.
LOVE THIS STORE!!! So many variations in styles, sizes, and most importantly prices! You can find anything from new apartment furniture to this is my permanent home. They even offer customization in fabric on many of their sofas We came in specifically looking for new apartment furniture. I especially appreciated their "Studio Living" line since the pieces were made smaller, yet functional for apartments. We furnished an entire 1/1 apartment under our budget, so we were thrilled with the pricing! My favorite: they offer same day delivery if you pay by 4pm, or next day (of course, assuming the items are in stock). Delivery: They gave us a 3-hour time frame, everything was delivered and assembled within 1 hour. Customer service was fantastic. I want one of these stores in every city!!
I had a great experience working with Leshun she truly paid attention to detail and really understood what I was looking for and my price range she spent three hours with me and my husband and children and really took the time to walk around a few times until I felt confident in my decision I truly believe she needs to be promoted with a big raise I will be coming back again and would love to share another amazing experience with her helping me pick out my bed set we truly need more people like her in the furniture industry she really knew everything about furniture items and extra add I ended up getting a couch set and table set all to her great help and kindness
We bought a sofa here. Walked in, picked one out, and picked it up from the dock. Easy transaction. We've had the sofa about six months and it is more comfortable and better quality than our other one we paid twice as much for at Freeds'(no wonder they went out of biz).
Dear whoever can help us, This is a quick summary of how we never got what we ordered. May 6th - We purchased an "EASTERN" king-sized bed from you guys. Set to be delivered with 7-10 business days. May 18th - A "CALIFORNIA" king-sized bed was delivered to the house instead. For those who don't know, they are completely different sized bed. Nothing we have fit inside the panels. We called to switch out the bed. We were told it would take another 7-10 business days. May 28th - A delivery guy actually showed up to our doorstep WITH NO BED. So, we called again. We were told it would take ANOTHER 7-10 business days. June 10th - Believe it or not. ANOTHER delivery guy showed up...WITH NO BED. So, we called again. We were told it would take ANOTHER 7-10 business days. June 18th - We are not making this up...we called again... we were told it would take ANOTHER 7-10 business days. June 20th - We actually called to see if they could cancel the order and start a new one. We were told it would take longer...again...we were told it would take another 7-10 business days. June 30th - Today. Still no bed. It's been almost 2 months. We have called countless times. We have receipts, order number, and call logs for everything that has happened. It still seems like no one wants to take responsibility to make sure this bed gets delivered. All we want is our bed, not a refund, not gift cards... just our bed that we paid for.
If i could give less than one star i would. We purchased a $22 outlet dining chair from here. We've been waiting an hour for them to give us the chair so we can leave. We've already paid for it and at this very moment are still waiting at the dock for it. And no they aren't busy. Had I known I'd have to wait this long for one item I'd not have purchased it. We were going to get our whole living room set from here....no thanks we are headed to Ashley's Homestore. This is beyond insane. We will not be back. Ever.
Some of these reviews made me a little skeptical about ordering from here however, I gave it a shot and I had an excellent experience. I custom ordered the utopia 2 piece sectional. I was told it would take 4-5 weeks. They called in 4 weeks to schedule delivery, and my couch was delivered the next week. It was exactly what I hoped it would look like. I am very pleased with it. I also had no issues with the delivery crew, they actually arrived early which I appreciate. There were no damages to the item. I look forward to enjoying this couch for many years!
Finally went to the store because no one could help from their call center, Jeff the GM helped me get to Julie who helped me get a different bed frame. They covered the difference.
Worst experience ever! Worst customer service ever! I would give negative stars if I could. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. My husband and I ordered a special order for a couch. We ordered 9/15 and they told us 4-5 weeks for it to get in. We called after those weeks and they told us it was not in yet. Finally after 10 weeks, they told us our couch would be delivered Friday 11/15. The delivery time was from 9:30-12:30 so my husband waited at home all day. He calls them at 12:30 to find out they canceled our delivery and were not going to give us a courtesy call. We rescheduled for 6pm- midnight. We start tracking the delivery at 6pm but nothing is showing up. So we call and they tell us they cancelled again because 2 of the pieces were broken BUT THEY COULDN'T CALL US TO TELL US THAT. We go into the store to see what we can do because for the past 2 months we have spent hours on the phone with customer service and they were the absolute worst! They told us they would call us back and fix the problem but did nothing. In store they told us they were going to "try" to do expedited shipping which would be another 4 weeks but they weren't even sure it would get in that amount of time. He was going to give us 10% off and a $100 gift card. We did not want to give this store any of our money or anymore of our time so we canceled our order. They took our store credit away and did not give us a gift card. Customer service was awful and Living Spaces screwed us over. I would never recommend this store to anyone. We have been 10 weeks without a couch sitting on the ground and now we have to go look for a couch all over again.
Went in to look around. They have a good variety of furniture in different styles and colors. I went to the mattress department where I was assisted by Nathan. He was able to answer all my questions. He offered my daughter and I beverages and cookies. He even walked from the back of the store to the front of the store to provide those items. Great service even though I didn't buy anything.
Update: 7/18/2019- just received an text that my special order item was available to schedule, tried to do so online but was told that I needed to call. Well I just sat on hold for 20 minutes, only for an automated message to pop up and say their offices are closed. On a weekday at 12. B.S - Just another one of their screw ups. Even their system in messed up!! Firstly, let's preface this conversation by saying I've spoken to way to many people whom have way different answers. I placed my order back on June 10th at the time I was told there would a 3-4 week processing time for delivery. I called back at the end of my fourth week to be told , that my order would not be shipped until July 15th, to arrive July 22nd. Which would pretty much put me at 5 weeks and a few days. I called back today July 17th only to be told my order has not been shipped out, and they don't know when it will be. This is ridiculous , your customer service agents are not only rude but very misinformed. I will be back to the store this weekend to cancel my order and go to Ashley. This is the worst service I have ever experienced and will definitely not be shopping here again.
Was super happy going into the store with the furniture selection they had and the customer service. A guy told us about the shipping, and if it gets done by 4 pm it can get delivered that night. I was super excited & found the items I needed and wanted! I spent over $1000 on these items and paid extra for it to be delivered on Saturday. Turns out, the young man did not save my new address so my stuff is apparently getting delivered to California. Such a headache have been on the phone with 3 different people for over 40 minutes now. And apparently Grand Prairie doesn't have a direct number.... sooooo my
Very disappointed in their customer service. My first purchase with LS went well, loved the sofa and delivery went vey well. I purchased a power lift chair for my disabled husband and it was delivered broken. The power did not work and we tried 3 different outlets. The chair was also a LOT smaller than it looked online. I called their customer service line to try and process and exchange and my experience was horrible. The person on the phone seemed as if I was bothering her and she really didn't want to go the extra mile to make this right. I needed the chair delivered asap, but they wanted to make me wait. Also there was a price discrepancy and as I was asking her to wait while I checked my receipt she hung up. I called back to see if I can get someone else to help me get a manager. They started helping me with it, I felt like there was a little hope so I was gonna try again to just replace the chair with Living Spaces, she had me on hold for a while. As she was coming back the call was disconnected and I did not get a call back. They have my telephone number, the verified it to check the order. I can't believe how bad their customer service is. It is the absolute worse. Please skip Living Spaces and go to Nebraska Furniture Mart. I eventually on the third try got someone to process a total refund for me. They didn't even try to make it right. Horrible Horrible. Never again will I purchase from Living Spaces. Just Awful.
***Update**** I was contacted by the customer service center and the issue was addressed and corrected. Not only did they apologize but they took care of me and I purchased the table and it was delivered the same day!!! Thank you Living Spaces for making a difference in my experience. I will be back. Let's start off by saying if I could have done less than 1 star I would have. I purchased a dining room table on June 16 and was told the chairs were on back order and it would take 7-10 business days to receive the chairs. That was not a problem but come to find out that the 7-10 business days start from the time they are shipped from Southern California. So on July 2 I called what is supposed to be customer service center and that was start of the downward spiral. I informed the person I talked to that I had not heard a word from anyone about my furniture. That is when he told me that the count down starts from ship date and that the chairs were shipped June 17 which would have put them in Texas approximately June 28-29. Nope... July 2nd and still no chairs..or so I thought. I asked to speak to a manager and was told it would take 24 hours before one would call me. I did get a call on July 3 from Connie only to be told all she could do was send an email to the Grand Prairie warehouse to get information and she would call me back with more information. Never got the call. Now that takes me to July 8. Called the customer service number and was told that they can't do anything about my order since they are a call center and have no control over the store's warehouse. I was also told by Ray the manager today that my chairs were in a trailer in the Grand Prairie store parking lot since June 28 but they haven't had time to unload them. He acted put off that I was upset that I never got a call to update the status at all. He said they don't do that until the furniture is unloaded. He was also very quick to say he would just cancel my order if that made me happy! No Ray!! What would make me happy is customer service! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS STORE.... THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS OR KNOW HOW TO PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Because they wasted my time I will now invest time to inform anyone and everyone I know how bad they are!!! And not once has anyone from this company attempted to right their wrong! I did not want anything free I just wanted my table/chairs and a little customer service.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE If I could leave a zero star I would. Made the purchase at the warehouse, was told the item would fit in my truck because the product would come in multiple small boxes we just needed to go to the warehouse. Got to the warehouse and were told they would call my name to load product, that would take about 15-25 minutes. After 45 minutes of watching people that arrived after me get their stuff I had to make myself very visible. Once they came to load the merchandise it came out in one very large box that would not fit in my vehicle. Then when I had to call the customer service number I was told I'd have to come back to the store to get it delivered after previously being told if their were any issues they could be dealt with at the warehouse. NO FAULT TO THE GUYS WORKING THE WAREHOUSE who were overworked and understaffed however poor process all the way around. Won't be going back.
Purchased three pieces of furniture. Bed frame, sofa and tv stand 1st delivery: Bed frame is fine. Sofa and Tv stand are defective. Ordered an exchange 2nd delivery: One of the delivery person has a fractured hand. The other person tried every possible way to show defects on the sofa and succeeded. 3rd delivery: Sofa looked fine but tv stand is not delivered yet due to not being in stock 4th delivery: Never happened as I got a call from Living spaces that the new tv stand had been identified as defective. Final pickup: Returned TV stand and the Sofa. Will never purchase from living spaces. Cheap quality furniture. Rude customer service folks and absolutely no quality control. Stay away
We bought a Couch from Living Spaces with VIP protection plan which was suggested by sales representative, and VIP protection was only reason we bought the couch as we wanted a couch which would last for 5 years. Sales representative confirmed while buying that wear and tear is covered under VIP protection, VIP protection was his sales pitch to sell this couch to us. We have multiple damages due to leather peeling off, I opened a claim to repair the damage and my claim to repair the couch was declined. They don't cover wear and tear damage through protection plan, but Sales Representatives lie about it and sell the furniture, very disappointed and will never go back.
Melisa was the most patient person in the world both times I wen to the store. She was always happy to advise, friendly and nice. Thank you
I was about to give this place 3-4 stars for the awesome displays they have at the warehouse, how the price is comparable with the quality and variety you get, and how exciting it makes me feel to be able to finally get new furniture. But alas, like every other reviewer out there, the biggest flaw, the bane most imaginable, the crux of excruciation, all lies in the delivery and post-transaction customer support. First, I must provide some background details that lead up to this ludicrous experience I am having. My sister and I live in separate houses, but to save money on shipping and handling (it's just a flat fee, no matter how much we buy), we decided to have her house as the main drop point for delivery. Then I would pick up my furniture from her house to mine. What I ordered: two night drawers, a 6-drawer chest and a 5-drawer tall dresser Red flag #1: they have a deal where if we buy at least $1000 worth of mattresses, we get free shipping. My sister ended up buying a mattress for her kid that costed around $900 total. Sure, we were $100 to qualify for that free shipping, but we bought A TON of other stuff, totaling in the thousands. My bed set was already in the $800-900 range. Her furniture was already peaking $1500. We asked if we still qualify for the free-shipping despite being $100 short. Nah. Manager said we don't. Absolute horrendous, pedantry. Fine. We took delivery. Our furniture came in. Sure enough... the bottom drawer cracked with my 5-drawer dresser. My sister and the deliveryman acknowledged the damage and signed upon delivery. I called customer service and was told of three options - all of them were red flags. Option 1: Claim it as damaged delivery, and they will exchange THE WHOLE ITEM. I was quite mad because I said, it's only that one drawer I want replaced. Can't i just have that exchanged. Nope! Want it exchanged, grab the whole thing! I replied, fine, but because I lived at a different address, please have that exchanged there. Nope! We are not allowed to change delivery address unless I PHYSICALLY GO TO THE WAREHOUSE AND HAVE THAT CHANGED IN-PERSON. So for this to get sorted out, I would have to move my drawer back to my sister's place to have that exchanged. Option 2: File for warranty, but I would have to wait for them to process that in 2-3 business days. Then they will exchange it for me. Not an immediate fix for something they broke in transit or did not have a careful eye on. The longest option. I shudder what would happen Option 3: I bring the WHOLE ITEM BACK TO THE WAREHOUSE to exchange. Nope. I cannot just bring back the one drawer that broke. I have to bring the whole thing to exchange for the one drawer I can easily take out. Was part of my fault was it for bringing it home. Sure. But I needed the furniture. I did not expect the ludicrous pedantry I have to deal with for one removable drawer. I'll provide pictures, as this is something I must take anyway for warranty.
We were looking for some new furniture for my home so decided to check out Living Spaces. The parking space was huge and plenty of space available. On Labor Day, most of the items was on sale. The visual display with all the furnitures is very organize which makes it very easy to shop. All the staff are very nice, helpful, and approachable. They offer one flat initial shipping fee which was a good deal. You can ship as much items you purchase all at once for one time shipping fee. They have an outlet center for discount or use item. I saw some good deals for beds, cabinets, chairs, etc. Living spaces notify your shipment date and time window for the arrival. They made the delivery so easy.
My experience with Living Spaces has been overall horrible. I purchased the Aspen sleeper sectional, in a light grey and it was delivered in two different colors. I called to see what they could do and I was giving an apology, after my continuous complaint they agreed on a $75 dollars gift card. I was told I had to wait yet another 4 weeks for my correct sectional to come in. I called back again because I was not okay with my gift card amount, I was at least expecting my delivery fee to be waved, which was $139 + $40 since I picked a Saturday delivery date. After calling back and them not budging on the $75 bucks, I decided to return my purchase. I was told they would come get my couch that Sunday, therefore, I bough another sectional at Macy's furniture, but to my surprise Saturday came and nothing, no email or call for the suppose next day pick up, so I called yet again. The service representative said that I was not scheduled in and that my "full refund" was only going to be a portion of my total purchase. She then agreed on the refund and scheduled me for the following Sunday, this time they came (yay!) but not within the pick up window they had confirmed, which was the least of my issues. First, I had to delay my other delivery from Macy's furniture and Second, I waited for my refund for a whole week and still no refund in sight, here goes another call. Then they mentioned that they accidentally gave me store credit for my refund amount, mind you this was over $1,900 worth of store credit, when I am never shopping there again! They are now sending my refund to my card of purchase, which should of been the case from the very beginning, truly hope they get it right this time. Overall, I do not recommend you shopping here, it will turn into a total headache! Their customer service is horrific and the products aren't the best quality you can find for your money.
I think this location of Living Spaces, in particular, is amazing. It is absolutely HUGE, and have a wonderful and wide selection of pieces. Furnishing a new 2 bedroom place, I needed nearly everything. I found the JAXON kitchen table and chairs, JAXON bed (platform and headboard), nightstands, and dresser, and for the guest bedroom, COLTON bed (headboard and frame). I love the JAXON line of products (darkest brown, nearly black, with bolts embedded). The COLTON is very nice, and was marked way down. The delivery service, $99 for everything, was outstanding and quick. They installed and put together everything, and were very thorough and clean. DONE. It's been about 3 months since I purchased the items and love everything.
You should really warranty your items instead of playing games we only had this I'm not going to have when we started complaining about it for the second time the first time we complained about it but today we received it and we've been complaining about it ever since did you guys have done nothing but sent to people out here they told us that it was made him properly and it was the manufacturers fault but then you tell us that they said it was wearing tear how does this look like wear and tear
My 84-year old mother was leaving a rehab place after a hip surgery and needed a new mattress and bed frame delivered the same day, so I went to the Living Spaces location in Fremont. The sales person assured me that the bed I wanted was in stock, could be delivered that same day, and the delivery people would assemble the new bed and take away my mom's old mattress and box springs at the same time. So I relied upon Living Spaces to be honest and purchased a new bed for mother for a little over $2,000. Because I did not receive a confirming delivery email about the delivery time, I called Living Spaces to reconfirm the delivery time that day. But I was told that they had overbooked their deliveries and had to reschedule the delivery for 2 days later. I informed Living Spaces that would not work since my mother was coming home the next day and I would not be in town to help. So I arranged a third party delivery company to pick-up and deliver the items the same day (Lugg), and I had to convince Living Spaces to give me a credit for part of the additional fees. It cost me $260 extra for the delivery from Lugg, and Living Spaces said they would give me a credit of $200 and pick-up my mom's old mattress and box springs later in the week. However, when the delivery guys came from Living Spaces, they did not pick up the huge cardboard box for the new frame or any of the old mattress covers from the old bed. When I called Living Spaces and spoke to a manager (Carla E.) in the company's customer services office in Rialto, CA, I was told they would not come back and get the huge cardboard box or any of the other mattress items (which would have been picked up if Living Spaces did not cancel my original delivery). I even informed the customer services manager that my 84-year old mother could neither move nor dispose of such a large cardboard box, but Carla E. said they would not come back at any time to get the box or other items. Please think twice about buying anything from this unscrupulous and cold-hearted company. T. Slome Rancho Palos Verdes
New review as of today 4/29/19: My husband and I came to the store to purchase our outdoor patio set and fire pit. The guy who helped us was very nice and helpful and promised us that our order would get delivered today before our party. We went to living spaces at least 2.5 weeks ago and they all assured us that we would receive it. Now for our actual date the delivery guys came in the timely matter, so had to take off 4 hours from work to be here, so that was kind of an inconvenience, but Gatta do what I Gatta do. The delivery drivers were very nice and helpful and when they came I was disappointed that only our patio set and cover would be delivered and not our fire pit, even though we were told it would be here in time. So i called living spaces and told them my concern and that how disappoint i was on hearing this. The lady, named Angela gave attitude, I know it's not personally not her fault l, but it shouldn't have been talked to the way I did. Now they're telling me that it won't get shipped for another 2 weeks!!! Huh?! We were given a date that it would be delivered, wrong. I let her know how disappointed I was and how now we have to find another heat source for our party. When our nice delivery guys were done he put on the cover, even though we ordered two!!! So i called them again!!!! And the same person helped me with attitude!! I told her how disappointed i am once again that i have to take time off to receive a patio cover?! That's ridiculous!! I asked if they could ship it to me instead, they said no. Then i asked if i can just pick it up and she said yes you can pick it up from the warehouse!!! So annoyed at this point! We spend over 2grand and take time off to deal with this mess! I'm waiting for someone to respond to me. They said that they'll give me a call, I'm goin to wait on this call because all this day was a hassle!!! It's on you livingspaces to make this right! Old review: Been searching for a new couch for our house and bookmarked a lot of different couches online. We live near here and wanted to finally check them out. The hubby hates stores like IKEA and Costco and he had a feeling it was goin to be like that. Plenty of parking, came during presidents weekend. Entered and the place was huge and open. I'm taking one star only because the initial interaction with workers there was very limited to none. We had our 3 year old son with us and was glad to see that they had push cars (one seater and a two seater) for the children to ride in if you forget your stroller like we did. They store is huge and every part of the store is a certain section ie(couches, dining room, bedroom, clearance, etc.) The nice thing is that they also offer complementary Starbucks coffee and infused water. Limited. I also noticed their restrooms both male and female bathroom had baby changing table (hardly i only see them in the women's section) Shout out to the ones who did help us (Brett he's the master of beds, we are goin to come back and Mbuy the luxury bed base that is much cheaper here than at any other store i feel like) also the cashier young lady named Savanna. Another young man helped us but i didn't catch his name. Had to flag him down to get some help. Ended up purchasing a recliner that was in the Clarence area. Two left and we also purchased the 5 year warranty, which i thought was smart. Any stains or any accidental Damages u take a pic of it and send it to them. They will send someone out to clean it, if they don't end up cleaning it etc they will give you a replacement, but if the item is out of stock or discontinued they will give you a gift card to the store for the amount you bought it. (Disclaimer; we haven't used this yet, but with a dog and a toddler it is bound to happen, so i will do an update if this is a rip off or not) Purchased our furniture on Monday and got it delivered here today wed. Gave us a 3 hour window and they came within the first hour. Set up quick and it looks nice! The recliner we purchased is comfy and the bed frame is cute and will be great for our guests.
Will never be buying furniture from Living Spaces again. We went in to purchase a new bedroom set. Literally every single set would take 4-7 weeks to be shipped, so we comprised and went with one that they guaranteed could be delivered in 7 days. We get a call the night before the scheduled delivery that it's going to be another 1-2 weeks until our delivery. This was frustrating because the only reason we made the decision to purchase the set was because of the promised 7-day delivery. The delivery day finally comes and the guys come in and tell us that the hardware delivered with the furniture is for a different bedroom set and so they can't build our furniture, but they can leave all the pieces in our bedroom. (Gee, thanks). We also find out that one of the night stands is going to take yet another 2-3 weeks for delivery. So our only options were to leave all the pieces in our room and wait until they can send people to build it for us another day (with no promised date), or send the set back and schedule another deliver (again no promised date). Such a horrible way to treat customers spending thousands of dollars on furniture. The guys tell us the hardware is 2 miles away at the warehouse but they can't go and get it. The people on the phone are also rude and uninterested in helping in any way, making you feel like you're bothering them for calling. Never again will I buy from them. We're still sleeping on a mattress on the floor while we wait for Living Spaces to get their act together and get our bed set delivered and built. UPDATE: delivery guys arrive today ready to build the bed but without the actual bed. Apparently unaware that the delivery guys yesterday took the bed back with them. So they leave to go get the bed and then come back with just the sides of the bed. No head board or foot of the bed. We call customer service and they tell us they have it marked that we refused the bed yesterday and so it was returned to their inventory and we were refunded. We now have to go in and purchase/order the bed all over again and start from scratch. I cannot comprehend how they could screw up so bad and leave us to clean up the pieces. They should be going above and beyond to amend things but they aren't. We took a full day off work without pay to be home for their rescheduled delivery for nothing. Such a horrible company.
DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Unless you have your own truck to bring your furniture home! My son bought his first couch and couldn't wait to get it home, he was told it would be 1 week for delivery. THE DAY OF and past THE TIME OF DELIVERY he had to call himself to find out where his couch was, only to be told that the couch didn't come in AND it would be another week! Another 3-4 days later, it's in, so we're told, reschedule for delivery AGAIN on that Friday. Delivery window given for Friday CAME AND WENT with NO phone calls! We called again only to speak to the most unprofessional people ever whose answer was "uhhh those times are automated and we don't have that information" WTF?!? A whole day waiting around later, AGAIN NO COUCH! 3rd time, NOT a charm! Rescheduled AGAIN for the Sunday after. After all the horrible customer service, no phone calls, texts saying they're coming and NEVER SHOWING UP, we are stop #12 with a 2:30-5:30pm window. Needless to say it is 8:19pm on Sunday and these pathetic people have never shown up or called! What I can say is, we will be getting EVERY PENNY BACK from this place and NEVER shopping here again! One more time... DO. NOT. SHOP. HERE!!!
Down to one star. As soon as you go back to them for a problem, their previously sweet-talking sales associates morph into corporate lawyers. Every sentence starts or ends with "this is what you signed", "you should have understood the small print on the back page", "here is your signature on what you ordered". Zero troubleshooting. And their online returns person is sending out automatic out of office messages, and is then stalling you! How do they get away with this??
I came here after dealing with Jerome's idea of what an "acceptable" delivery time was (9pm-1am) I was looking for a dining set. They had a large selection, helpful people. They great you at the door and point you in the right direction. No heavy sales. I dealt with Scott. Ver u nice, helpful! I will for sure be back! Thank you Scott for all your help!
DO NOT BUY SERV WARRANTY! We purchased a $3/4K sofa set and the sales rep pushed us to get the service warranty of 5 years because we said we have two little ones under 3 years old. They said it would cover the damages and we thought it was a smart idea so we purchased it. After 2 years in our little one ran with a pen and accidentally drew all over one cover. We filed a claim and didn't hear back from anyone. A few days later we found out the case was closed without being notified bc they don't consider the event as "accidental". We submitted a letter of dispute to have them return $500 bc this whole warranty is just absurd! This is what they wrote back. "The claim was filed for ink stains on the furniture that were caused by a child drawing on it. Please be advised that the warranty covers accidental stains. A person drawing on the furniture is not considered to be accidental. As such, we regret that we will be unable to take any further action on your claim." Why would I purchase this warranty if I could remove simple food stains?? Should I just pour blood or wine over it so it could be considered a real stain?? And should I take a video of me accidentally tripped in the act so I have "real" proof of it being an accident? Poor customer service. How much is it to replace one seat cover?? Not $500 we paid!!!!
Don't buy from here. Here is my experience: I went to the shop for a sofa with the dimensions of my doors, hallway, etc. At the showroom, I was informed that the sofa will be delivered and assembled at my home. On the day of the delivery, a fully built sofa was sent to my home and they couldn't get the sofa in through my front stairs. I told the delivery team that there was an elevator and a rear entrance for the apartment building, but they dismissed it as too small and didn't even try those options. The customer care informed me that I'd get a call from the manager of Living Spaces-Huntington Beach the next day to discuss.. Since I didn't get a call from the manager till afternoon next day I called the customer service again. After an hour, I received a call from the person who introduced himself as the manager. He told me that if I come to the showroom to choose another sofa again, they will help me choose one that fits my hallway. I told him that the last time I went there, I brought all the dimensions with me but still the sofa that they helped me choose didn't fit. And I didn't feel confident how this would change this time. He then told me it is the customers responsibility to make sure it fits the hallway and not theirs. I also told him how I was told the unit will be assembled in my apartment upon delivery. In between the call the manager went to attend some other matter and upon return I had to repeat everything from the beginning. The conversation went back and forth and I didn't feel that my concern about being misinformed was being addressed. He offered me some "adjustments" over the restocking fees if I return by Sunday to choose a sofa. When I pressed him to be more specific about this "adjustment" he was very evasive. After one hour, another person who introduced herself as the manager called me to talk about my returned sofa. I informed her that I had already spoken to a manager before and my concerns remain unaddressed. She asked for his details and told me she will coordinate with him to look into my case. In the end, I was charged 25% of the price of the sofa and delivery charges for the sofa that was never delivered. And a few phone conversations that were purely a waste of my time. In short, I wouldn't consider Living Spaces for a future purchase decision.
Don't buy from here! Ever hear of three strikes your out? Well they are out Spent over two thousand dollars on bedroom suite and guess what? They delivered it with the wrong slats. Now they are telling me I have to wait until 6 pm til midnight for proper slats to be delivered. Totally unacceptable, and strike three. First strike was new sectional sofa that was delivered with wrong side , was told I'd have to wait two weeks. On same sofa we bought warranty so recently started claim which was denied they cited some clause in contract regarding pets teeth , claws and paws. I assured them it wasn't caused by any of those . Have not heard back. Trust me you don't want to deal with this incompetent company!
I will never purchase another item from living spaces. I purchased a recliner and bought the damage insurance. I contacted warranty service and was told because my recliner is scraped and not torn they will not come out and fix it.
We came here on a Saturday afternoon in search for a new sectional sofa . When we walked into the store, the girl at the info both did greet us. Then, during our entire visit, no other sales person offered any assistance. We must have walked passed 3 store employees that didn't even ask if we were looking for anything in particular. The first red flag are the low reviews and secondly there were very few shoppers in the store. We did see one sectional that we liked. But, we will go elsewhere to make the purchase. I refuse to support a retail business that lacks good customer service. Living Spaces doesn't really have many nice floor samples for the bedroom or dining area. The only decent options are the sofas.
My husband and I purchased new furniture for our apartment, and I'm so happy we came to Living Spaces ! Everything, from customer service to delivery was exceptional. I'm in love with each piece we chose and most importantly, it's comfy, great quality and affordable. I would buy from here again !
The first time we dropped by, we were only browsing in preparation for a move and needed to get some measurements for our new space. We were not ready to buy and made this clear to the employee who helped us. She ended up following us around the store and was a little bit too pushy. They make sure to tell you that they don't work on commission, but based on her approach, there's absolutely some sort of incentive program. Once we were all moved in, we made a second visit, this time knowing we were ready to purchase. The employee that helped us was new to the job but was able to figure things out. She was helpful, transparent, & didn't put any pressure on us. Overall, we're happy with our purchase, the delivery process, and the service we received. Would I shop here again? Probably yes.
Worst Customer Service Ever! I purchased a sofa from them one year ago. Moving the sofa we lost a cushion. I know it's our fault. I want to purchase a replacement cushion. Customer service says they can't sell it to me, first they advise me to call the manufacturer who is under contract with Living Spaces not to cell direct, then the say file warranty claim. Claim is denied (no surprise) but they can't sell me a cushion I need to purchase it from Living Spaces who repeatedly says they won't sell it to me. Trying to go up the chain of command for a week now and the parrot the same response. We will NEVER buy from this company again!
I'm done with Living Spaces. I bought an Eastern King Mattress less than 2 years ago and the seam ripped and the stuffing is coming out and it is not covered by the warranty?
Went to LS today around 10:30am. Had seen a dresser and nightstand that I liked on line, but wanted to see it in person before I made purchase. Place was very large and we were greeted when we came in, an associate showed us the items and we made the purchase. It was really quick and we're happy with the process. It was perfect! As we exited, I walked through some of the furniture vignettes to look at sofas for a future purchase. Next thing I know I'm tripping on what was an extension cord. I fell on my knees, breaking the fall with my hands. I was so embarrassed and a bit hurt, hubby picked me up and we told a young lady about the dangerous cord, she quickly went to get someone to remove/move the cord. Kinda spoiled the whole experience for me. Glad they were remedying the situation though, and happy with my purchase. If you go, and I do recommend them, just be careful walking around their vignettes.
My family was displaced in a condo fire and we needed furniture to furnish our temporary apartment while our condo is being rebuilt. The staff and management of Living Spaces heard of our plight and stepped up to assist. We were given a corporate level pricing discount, and free, (yes free) twin XL beds delivered at no cost. The staff at the HB store are awesome. Starting with Chris our sales person, Arian his co- sales person, Charles , Floor Manager, Melissa In sales, Erin, Floor Manager, Daisy who helped set up our account, Yolanda the store Manager and Miguel , Asst. Store Manager who both coordinated the free mattress delivery. The whole HB team helped make a very traumatic life event more bearable. On behalf on my family we are grateful for their assistance and compassion in our time of need! They will have my business going forward as well as our recommendation to anyone that is in need of furniture. The Averell Family
I bought two recliners for my 90-year-old parents when was a power lift chair at $900 The second recliner it was not a power lift it was just a power and it was $500 the fabric on the chairs was not the same but it was close in color. I bought the extended warranty and at about a year and a half I called them to tell them the fabric was starting to deteriorate on the $900 chair. They refused to come out and look at it saying it's normal wear and tear. We called again at about the three-year mark and no one would come out and no one would help us . Its now been about five years the extra warranty has worn out and the chair is falling apart ; the chair fabric has torn off. The only person who sat in the chair is my 90-year-old father who weighs 140 pounds. Thare no animals and no one in the house smokes. The fabric has deteriorated leaving huge holes showing the inside of the chair on both arms and the main base of the chair. it is absolutely absurd to think that we paid $900 for an item that fell apart. It Is obvious that the fabric was inferior. Do not buy anything from the store and of course do not buy their extended warranty /it's a scam. Management showed absolutely no concern. Our $900 chair needs to be junked. Horrible experience.
I went to Living Spaces in Huntington Beach to purchase a bed for my guest room. Found a bed that met my requirements and asked the sales rep to ring it up. She attempt to up-sell me on a warranty. I told her I was not interested. She proceeded to ring up the bed, had me sign on a tablet and charged my credit card before providing me with a paper copy of my purchase. Once I looked at the paper copy, I noticed that she added the warranty to my purchase even though I said I didn't want it. She pretended to be surprise and apologize for the error. I asked for an immediate refund, so she called her manager because she claimed to not know how to issue a refund.. When processing the refund, again they screwed up and only refunded half of the amount of the fraudulent charge. I point this out and she again contacted her manager. Finally after wasting an extra half hour attempting to resolve this up charge, they issues a refund in the correct amount. By this time I was pretty upset for what seem to be a purposeful attempt to cheat me out of money by up charging me for something I specifically said I didn't want. I asked to speak directly to the manager and shared my frustration. He agreed to issues me a courtesy refund on my purchase. I agreed to the courtesy refund of $50 off my purchase. He processed the refund and told I should see it on my credit card within a week or so. It has been over three weeks and still no $50 refund on my card. I called the number on my receipt this morning, which I assumed to be their Corporate office. The rep stated that the refund was showing as a store credit. I informed the rep that my receipt shows refund and the store Manager also stated that it would be refunded to my credit card. Not sure if it just incompetence or out right fraud, either way I would not expect a store like Living Spaces to conduct business in this manner. I will never shop at Living Spaces again and advise anyone that is considering them as an option to make sure you confirm what you are paying for before your allow them to charge your card. Sad that you can't trust this store to be honest and trustworthy. Still waiting on my refund, as a store credit will not work for me as I chose to never give them the opportunity to cheat me again.
Ok, I think about 95% of my furniture was bought from Living Space. I love this place that much lol. I have bought a sofa from here, rugs, night stands, dressers, my dining set, beds, mattresses, and even lamps from here. The best part about going here is that the employees do not push you to buy anything. They do not receive commission. I hate going into furniture stores where they follow your every move and heckle you to buy stuff. This is not the case at all here. After 2 years, all of my furniture has held up nicely and still looks brand new. Quality! Another cool thing about going here is their warranty plan. I highly recommend buying their 5 year warranty plan. If you do not end up using it, you will get your money back. But why not get it?! They'll replace your furniture or fix it if something happens to it.
DO NOT BUY ANY WARRANTY! Disappointing is to put it lightly. They talked me into it on my couch and coffee table. Submitted claims with their "VIP" program since I paid the premium. Within the time where I still was covered I submitted a claim for what WAS listed as covered and got denied. I can't believe it, sales people told me how great the program was, I feel conned. This company takes advantage of people. After 3 years with normal wear and tear my coffee table looks like I bought it at goodwill, thanks Living Spaces for not covering a warranty when I paid extra to cover exactly what happened to my table. LIARS. Feel taken advantage of, I if they are going to deny claims for what they say they WILL cover we should get our "VIP" price that we paid refunded!
Courtney, Zoe, & John Murphy are so amazing. They kill it at their job here at Living Spaces. All super helpful in their own departments. We've bought a lot of pieces for our homes from Living Spaces from our queen size bed, both kids' beds, the dining room table and our sectional couch to our new Eastern King Size Bed, my mother in-laws Bed our accent chair and our new Sectional Couch(our style has changed.) all the products are great quality and have lasted us 8+years of heavy duty living. The staff here are helpful and never pushy trying to make a sale. They give you time and space to talk and think things over about the furniture pieces you're about to buy. But also are there with advice and ready to write your order. I highly recommend shopping here.
I needed to get some new furniture for my mom including a liftchair. We came here a few times to make sure she felt comfortable and she liked the height and design of the the pieces that she was interested in. I measured the room and recorded the measurements in feet and inches. You are actually able to give the measurements one of the designers and they come up with floor plans to help you visualize where the furniture pieces can go. You can also purchase a warranty if the furniture gets stains or whatever.
My parents bought quite a bit of furniture at one time there. Less than 3 months later, the Revive mattress they bought is sagging in the middle. I called on my parents behalf and they charge $99 to have a technician go out there and verify that it is a defect. After that, they will charge another $99 to pick up the item and exchange it. All this for a manufacturer defect of a mattress that was $275. We also bought furniture from them a year ago. I highly do not recommend. This place is terrible. They lost our business.
Do not purchase from them online. I ordered a sectional from them on 11/5 because I was assured I would have it before Thanksgiving and that didn't happen. I found out two days before it's "delivery date" that it wasn't available because it was open stock. I told them I really need it at least before Christmas and they basically told me it would ship when it shipped. The order was about a month and half late by the time it finally shipped (12/23), then the shipping company lost the order. The last tracking update was on 12/28 and I emailed Living Spaces on 1/6 since XPO wouldn't tell us anything. After a week they tried to tell us it was a weather related delay (it wasn't) and it took 20 total days (plus 5 emails, 6 calls and hours of my personal time) for them to finally figure out that XPO lost it. XPO is an actual nightmare, our local branch hangs up on people trying to get info, but that's a whole other issue. They tried to automatically order me a new one with no shipping timeline, I told them I needed to speak to a manager first to figure out what our options are, they told me they would call me back today and still no call. Horrible customer service, horrible experience and I give up and cancelled my order. Emails would go days/weeks without being answered and the system online never reflected any concrete updates so I would just have to take their word for it. They say they will escalate the issue but it doesn't happen. I honestly feel they don't care about the online customers, they lack empathy in dealing with customers and they don't care that they lose the sale.
Ordered furniture and mattress on line. Date and time range confirmed. Wasted a day waiting at home and no call and no show. I had to call them. I had to fight to get it delivered the next day. Another wasted work day. Arrive and set the bedroom furniture. NO MATTRESS. Told it would be DROP ship delivered...could not give me a date or time when that delivery was going to occur (have the emails). Tell them to hold the mattress until I am back from out of the country. Say they cannot do that?? No notice and claim they delivered it via UPS. Had to inconvenience a neighbor while i was out of country to wait for the delivery. No delivery. Living spaces then says it is your problem to deal with UPS---but don't provide the UPS shipping number to do their job with the shipper they hired. RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
I have been trying to find out where my order is. I have had 3 different people. Not one of them has a clue. Very uncaring, uninformed, and I would be happy to say HOSTILE customer service people. Never have I dealt with a company so against helping out the customer.
I wish I could give this company a negative rating. My experience was so bad that I had to dispute it with my credit card company. I ordered a daybed back in February and it is now nearly May and I still haven't received it. I had to pay $250 for delivery alone, which is crazy in today's retail world, and after waiting nearly a month for its arrival, it was delivered to the wrong address by their shipping partner XPO. I contacted XPO and Living Spaces and was told it would be retrieved and redelivered, and that I would receive a callback within 24-72 hours to schedule redelivery. I never received the callback and each time I reached out to Living Spaces, they told me to contact XPO, visa versa. This went on for over a week and I was eventually told by some clueless person that the package was still at the incorrect address. I drove 40 minutes to the incorrect address (same street name and number, different town) and found a note from XPO saying it was picked up. I contacted Living Spaces again who told me to reach back out to XPO. At this point, I had spent $900 and hours of my time with no resolution, so I handed it off to my husband in hopes that he could get to some sort of resolution (he works in furniture logistics). He got slightly further than me only to discover that we couldn't even get a replacement delivered because it is now out of stock. I am STILL waiting on a refund from Living Spaces, so I ended up disputing it with my credit card. I am writing this while I am on hold with XPO, YET AGAIN, because they won't stop calling me. I guess when Living Spaces eventually cancelled my order it requested that XPO pick up my package (that I never received?!) for a return. Hands down, worst retail and shipping experience I have ever experienced. To layer onto the frustration they still have my money... mind blowing. Take your money anywhere but here!
Shopped for furniture in the Grand Prairie Texas location. I ordered a full set of furniture for my guest room. The furniture was damage upon delivery and refused. Tried to call the store only to find out that you can't call the store directly. You have to speak with a Living Spaces call center. I drove down to the store where the manager blamed the delivery team for not checking the furniture before it went out. He further went on to say that the delivery guys are contracted and do not get paid unless the delivery is made and therefore it is their responsibility to check the furniture. He credited the delivery charge and discounted the furniture so I would not cancel the order. He had the furniture redelivered the same day. The manager promised he would check the furniture before it went out. HE LIED. The damage on the second delivery was worse than the first and again the delivery was refused. I cancelled my order and was told that my account would be credited. After two weeks I did not see a credit on my account and called Living Spaces only to be told that I was issued store credit by mistake, and they would take care of the credit on my account. This store has no QUALITY ASSURANCE AND NO CREDIBILITY. I would not recommend Living Spaces.
I ordered a chair ($853) on March 30. I was giving a delivery date of April 14-21. When those dates came and went, that's when the fun began. I talked to about 5 different people who gave me the runaround and then finally one person said the item was unavailable and they did not know when it would become available. I told them to refund my money. Supposedly the refund was in the works, but when it didn't come, I had to talk to 3 or 4 more people until I got a definite date about when my refund was going to be processed. Today I got a notice saying that $795 was being refunded. Why am I not getting the full refund? Nobody can answer that. Please spare yourself the aggravation and buy from another company with good reviews.
The sales help is great if you find an experienced one. The Customer service is also good. Unfortunately, the quality of the furniture is lacking. I have had broken legs, cracked drawers dings and scratches on about half the pieces we bought. They exchanged it but some of the new pieces are worse than the original. The furniture gets man handled being loaded and some comes in that way. Poor QC at the factory overseas and then no checking before shipment. It's been a major hassle. In their defense, stuff I have bought from Walmart, Wayfair and even Furniturologie with a $2300 table have had major qc issues. No one cares or has pride in craftsmanship. Sellers just flog stuff out.
07/30/22 I purchased with cash a Floor Model/As-is Tv Console. I waited 45 minutes for LSF dock team members to come to the front of the store and move the item purchased to the loading dock. Here I note the Order Summary (receipt) given to me states: "Title to the goods purchased passes directly from the seller to the buyer at the seller's shipping dock prior to delivery/shipment." I went Immediately to the loading dock to receive the item I purchased with cash. At the loading dock they would not release my paid for item to me because the Driver License I had with me was expired. On the backside of the Order Summary (receipt) is Terms and Conditions. Under pick-up its state's: ..."You are responsible for inspecting all pick-up items noting any external (sings) damage to our dock team member prior to LSF assisting you in loading them into your vehicle."... Under AS-IS Items: ..."As-is items have no warranties and cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason."... On the Order Summary (Receipt) and on the backside Terms and conditions there is no reference to having any Id of any source. What is on the receipt is I repeat: "Title of the goods purchased passes directly from seller to buyer at the seller's shipping dock prior to delivery/shipment." They had my money/payment. But at the shipping dock they would not release my paid for merchandise. After talking to everyone from shipping to sales they would not release the item to me, instead they refunded my money. What a bunch of BS!
Most of the time, when buying things online, we take into consideration the length of time for delivery. LivingSpaces.com has a number of competitors whose delivery windows take longer, which is likely the reason you may purchase with them instead. Don't be fooled, though. They promise quick deliveries, but actually take just as long, if not longer, than their competition. An order placed in mid-July had a delivery window of early August. Upon calling LivingSpaces (877-266-7300) in mid-August, I was informed they moved the delivery window two weeks later. They couldn't provide a reason for doing so, despite apologizing, and recommended I speak with their delivery partner, XPO Logistics (800-600-8861). Frankly, this should've been handled by them but I agreed to call them. XPO's response was that they don't have any record of my order, even after providing the phone number, shipping address, order number, and complete name, exactly as written in my order with LivingSpaces.com. They recommended I call their "Less than Truckload" number (800-755-2728). I did, and was transferred to another number (800-883-4797), upon entering my delivery zip code. The woman at that number said she didn't have my order number and recommended I call their courier service (212-855-7777), giving me another number. I called that number, it rang, and then went silent for about two minutes. On a whim, I stayed on the line, and Jasmine eventually connected. She asked for the order number and my phone number. I gave them to her and she said she had no record of my order and asked for a tracking number. I never received a tracking number, just an order confirmation number, and was told I would get a tracking number once the order shipped. I told Jasmine to hold while I called LivingSpaces.com again and patched her on the line. LivingSpaces verified my information and I introduced them to XPO. LivingSpaces then told me the order hadn't been handed to XPO yet, but couldn't tell me why. I politely let Jasmine disconnect and requested LivingSpaces escalate my ticket to find out why the order hadn't been handed to the delivery partner, why the delivery dates changed 16 days past when they were supposed to be scheduled, where my order was, and when I would receive it. LivingSpaces then informed me I would get a call within 48 hours with someone that might be able to answer these questions. I STILL have no resolution on this order, however I AM resolved never to order things from them in the future with this kind of confusion, disorganization, and disregard for customer care.
The mattress was used and I think was returned .the right side can't be used No returned as per Manager waste of money $1,000.
We purchased an expensive leather recliner sofa and a love seat in 2019 from Living Space worth $3317. The Sales Rep pushed us to buy the 5-year service warranty as the Sofa is costlier and would cover all the damage. So, we thought it would be a good idea to buy a warranty for our expensive sofa. Warranty was the only reason to buy there. We had accidental food stains on the sofa due to a party. When I cleaned the stains in a soft damp cloth, the color came off. The recliner is also sagging and don’t know what to do. I opened a claim with the warranty department for the damage. The warranty department said they won’t cover it and declined the claim. Why should I purchase this warranty when it cannot cover simple food stains? Even if I dab any accidentally spilled water or food immediately with a damp cloth, the color is completely lost. If this happens within 3.5 years of purchase time and how it would last longer? It is poor quality leather coated with colored paint. Good quality leathers should not fade like this. This raises too many questions, that’s why I think it may be cheap leather. How does a color fade behind the sofa? No one uses the back side to sit. Our body does not touch the back side either. It does not get morning or evening sunlight. No spillage accidents happen at the back side. I have a 12-year-old sofa without even a single stain or color fade. We wipe it immediately if such an incident happens, and only the dirt goes, not the sofa color or dye. The cushion and color are fantastic. You cannot even claim that one is old. Very disappointed and would never go back. ☹
Save your time and money. Mathis Home has way better quality and prices.
We have purchased a living room package from here, Each piece has had brought in from other locations in the us. so we are now going on 90 days and only have one piece. Then they call on the delivery date to tell you it has been on back order and ill have to choose another delivery date. very, very bad service. never again for us.
The shipping company was 2 weeks late even scheduling my delivery. Then they changed the date and moved it out another two weeks. Then when I finally scheduled a date, I had a last-minute conflict (since their delivery window was so big) and I asked them to wave the delivery signature and switch to Outdoor Drop off. Nope. Nope and nope. I checked back on my email instructions to find this: “If no authorized adult is present during your scheduled delivery window, your delivery may automatically be changed to Outdoor Drop Off by LIVING SPACES (or if LIVING SPACES does not change your delivery to Outdoor Drop Off, you will be charged a delivery fee to reschedule). A fee to reschedule after they rescheduled me twice! Are you kidding me?!?! There are way too many furniture shopping options to deal with delays and delivery problems of this sort. Their furniture is not THAT special.
DO NOT BUY from this ridiculous establishment! I went into their store on President's day weekend looking for sofa options. A Salesperson, "Ronnie," quickly accosted me and offered to "help." Before I knew it, I had purchased a sectional and two chairs. He promised me that the sectional (because I chose a custom fabric) would arrive in two weeks and the chairs would be to me the next day. The chairs arrived the next day. Since February 18, I have received 3 emails from the company letting me know that my sofa was delayed...no explanation. When I asked for a reason they told me they would have "special orders" reach out to me directly, which never happened. So now....mid June...after 30 something emails and relentless phone calls on my part, they tell me that the fabric of the "toss pillow" that I chose is on backorder. I don't even remember the fabric that I chose for the pillows and could care less. I was going to cover them anyway! They won't let me change the order. I would have to cancel and start again. This is completely unacceptable. I cancelled the order and I will NEVER set foot in this cheap, disreputable pit of a store again!
Hello Kimberly, My name is Deserie I'm part of the leadership team and will be assisting you with your request to speak to a manager in regards to a refund. To better assist you I will need some more information, have you not received your refund for the returned order? I do see a refund was sent back to your synchrony account in amount of $1509.80 a 10% cancellation fee and pick up fee was deducted from your refund due to order having to be picked up and transferred back to our warehouse. fees apply for these cancellations of nationwide orders. I need to know if you did not receive your refund I would need to contact synchrony back to check the status of the funds, please advise of how I can assist you. Thank you, Deserie Deserie Living Spaces Hello Deserie, This is horrible news and I believ if your customer sees and knows about the 10% whatever you hbe going on they would mo longer shop at Living Spaces. This is misleading the consumer I will be contacting the better business bureau in regards to this matter. When I received the synchrony card it was based on the entire order and delivery not part of the order. So refund me the $323.02. Knowing this has deterred me from ever shopping at your store and effecting ny synchrony card. I am ready to cancel both businesses. I was going to place another order for a different set. But now knowing your policy I am not persuaded to. Now I have no furniture and i am told I have to pay this 323.02 balance still left on this card. AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A THING!!!! HOW DOES THAT SOUND TO YOU???? You go on line get a credit card. Place an order cancel the order to get something else and you end up paying 323.02 and not get anything... Would that make you a happy customer? Would you eant to go to that store AGAIN? IF YOU SAID YES TO THAT ANSWER, YOU ARE NOT TRUTHFUL. Sorry to yell but I am pissed. I am being taken advantage of as a consumer. You need to put that beautiful disclaimer at the TOP of your website before anyone purchases. I want to be refunded the $323.02 to the synchrony account. How can you better assist? Hello Kimberly, the fees apply for cancellations, you can find this information on our website and on your receipt under where is says cancellations, I will also attach of what is listed on your receipt. Cancellations Regular stock items can be canceled within 48 hours of PURCHASE. Orders that are cancelled outside of this time frame will be charged a 10% cancellation fee. In addition, orders held over two (2) weeks from purchase at our Customer Pick-Up will be cancelled and charged a 10% cancellation fee. Special order item(s) are subject to a 25% non-refundable deposit for all cancellations. Deserie Living Spaces
I bought a couch and bedroom set. I have bought 5 couches from them over the first 4 were great. My recent couch was delivered on time and friendly. Do to my work schedule and having recently moving into a new place I did not sit on the couch for the first week. It looked great. My wife (110lbs) sat on the chaise lounge and the cushion split in two, with a huge gaping 8" hole along the seam. Since it was the 8th day they would not return or refund. They required pictures uploaded to their sight. From the pictures, they determined that someone see it in person. It took 2 weeks to schedule someone to come see the couch in person. They ordered a new cover. 8 weeks later still waiting.
It has been more than 3 months and I have not received my custom order. They scheduled and canceled my delivery three times, put in an "expedited" new order and are not having me wait another 6 weeks. By this rate, I will not have a couch for almost 5 months from placing my original order. I don't believe they're customer service agents and I don't think the company has any intention to honor my purchase. It is also SO HARD to get any customer service representative on the phone - I've waited for 20 minutes today. Before purchasing anything from Living Spaces, please do your due diligence and read through all of the reviews on here, Yelp, and BBB. SHOP ELSEWHERE!
