The PERFECT buying experience. Came in with an idea, left with more/better merchandise for the same price :-) Can you say Manager's Special? Can't recommend them more highly!!!
I just had to update this review. After posting this, one of their sales associates decided to private message me and tell me that I wasn't a serious buyer and basically called me out because I left a bad review.. along with assume what I wanted to buy. And yes, we did end up at another Levin and found what we were looking for (and shocker.. bought it! )... but after the message, hearing some interesting stories.. we can take business elsewhere.
The manager Ken Johnson worked with us to make amends for everything. Offering us the floor model at a good discount. In the end I was quite impressed with how they handled this.
We walked into this store just to look. We left with a full family room.. We really enjoyed the non pressure salesperson Mick, but to find out everyone was the same way. Eager to just help. They have built a strong relationship that will last a lifetime with my family. Thank you Mick and your entire crew. The Szalay family
We went to Levin's to buy a recliner and had the pleasure of meeting Joe Scarpino, a Levin's associate. Joe was friendly, polite, informative, and patient with us in making our decisions regarding which one would be the best purchase given our specific needs. I highly recommend Joe. There was no pressure or any coercing from him; which I highly appreciate. We plan on buying a few more items in the next year or two and will look for Joe when it's time.
In July my husband and I purchased a full master bedroom set with the expectation the furniture would come in September due to Covid-19. In September our furniture was pushed to October. Our sales associate gave us some excuse that other sales members steal items off his delivery list to fulfill their own and that he would work with his manager to makes sure this wouldn't happen again. In October we were told the second week of November, the second week of November we were told the third week of December. Finally, I expressed my frustration for the consistent delays they reassured we would get it this delivery because we were number 4 of 34 people and several pieces would be coming in this delivery. January came and went and the manager made hundreds of excuses, it is now mid April and finally our order was scheduled to be delivered. Not only were the deliver man late, they put our king size mattress and box spring agains our windows and realized they did not bring the hardware to actually put the bed together. the dresser was so damaged they could not attach the mirror, so they told us to call customer service in the morning and left. Mattress and box spring still on the window. My husband ended up hurting his back pulling them down from the window. This place is criminal and they should be put out of business.
BAIT-AND-SWITCH - Buyer's Beware shopping at this location! Purchased a LR sectional at the Wexford location first of May. Was told the furniture would be delivered within six weeks. Received 'ONE' piece of the sectional within the first month. Just received section 'TWO' of the four piece sectional today, July 30th. As of today - the store manager is telling us END of August for the ottoman and END of November for the corner section! I suggested delivering the missing pieces of the showroom floor models until the ones from the factory arrive - not an option? This is unacceptable! We asked the manager to have Robert Levin contact us and was basically told no. Mr. Levin, if your read your store reviews, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you directly as we feel we have been given the runaround. We also sent you an email - I hope you received it. We should have never been sold this sectional. We paid cash - did not finance. We believe this is not how you want you BRAND and your personal reputation to be represented to your customers. Looking for your HELP!
I'm just really disappointed with the delivery department and customer service. It's been a month and we still don't have everything. They can't get our new address right after we've told them twice about the new address, plus had another family member call to get their address off the account which shouldn't have been there in the first place. The only thing they did was do next day delivery which means we'll get our chairs Saturday. Nothing else for all the hassle. I'm going to have to go elsewhere for furniture in the future which is a real disappointment.
Such a bad customer experience, these guys flip out on service and are a master of fraudulent schemes. They sold me a accidental coverage plan and when I went back to claim then the lady tells me that this is not covered while the sales person clearly told us that everything is covered a s even a small cut or blemish would be taken care by our 'expert' customer service and when you call them up and they simply deny your claim. I would have given 0 stars if that was an option. People of Pittsburgh- NEVER BUY FROM ANY LEVIN STORE!!! Just a brief history, I purchased a couch (3+2) from this Levin store and also purchased accidental coverage along with it, we met with a small accident while shifting the sofa and the service agent says that moving is not covered in the damages and decline the claim, instead offered to return the money for accidental coverage and told me to talk to a 3rd party repair company, basically shutting me off. After a 22 min call all I got statements i.e. 'call this repair lady to get your sofa repaired' and 'take the insurance money back so that you don't bother us anymore' The lady was even satirical on the call and when I requested to talk to Manager she told me that there is no one above her that I can talk to.
Worst customer experience ever! I Have purchased furniture from these guys before but there was not an issue. After my bedroom set was delivered I realized that the installers damaged my new furniture! They screwed right through the top of the dresser to put the mirror on. I would have never noticed had I not been remodeling my floors and had to move the dresser. They never told me they did it but it was very obvious once you pull the dresser out and looked behind it. I have now been fighting for 7+ months to either get the dresser replaced or get the top of the dresser replaced. They keep telling me it's on order... Again, I have been waiting for 7+ months to get the replacement dresser top. I have now officially given up but I've decided my only course of action is to let others know about my experience. I will never purchase from Levin again...EVER! Buyer beware... If you need customer service you will not get it at this place! So if you purchase your fingers crossed everything is delivered as expected and installed as expected because if you have any issues, You will not get a resolution!
Large furniture selection but the prices are a bit high for the quality. I've made several purchases here because of the convenience to my home. Most of the sales people I've encountered have been wonderful. I did have a very poor one once, so I left, drove 30 minutes and bought the two chairs that I needed at another furniture store. It's not such a great place that I'll be talked down to and not walk out. There're other options. If your in the market for a particular piece and Levin is local for you, there'll be a good selection of options. Our deliveries have always gone smooth and on schedule. The delivery drivers have been polite and careful.
Waited all day for furniture delivery. They told me between 12:40 and 2:40. Got a call truck stuck in the snow could be late. Then called truck broke down move delivery to 6:15 to 7:15. Never showed, no call, no furniture no nothing. Called the store closed. Call delivery number closed. Such poor service. Wow. I get things happen but I didn't receive a call until 3:30 the next day. And that was we think we can get you back in the schedule next week?
Will not take my payment over phone, said I must come in. I can't because of pandemic, so I guess I'm just out my furniture I paid half for.
I have been waiting for the correct furniture to be delivered that I purchased nearly 6 months ago. And to top it off I have been calling to schedule a delivery time with no luck. Buyer Beware! Update: everything was taken care of and they honored their policy.
Purchased a folding couch 'hide a bed' with an electric air mattress, purchase date was 04/10/2021 for $1,722.50. Delivered in early 06/2021. They advertised and claimed that it was' made in America' however the electric air pump has made in China inscribed on it ...... The first one lasted two months. A representative came to the house and took the faulty air mattress which started leaking down after two months of light use(the total weight of two occupants did not exceed 220 LBS) Now we wait 5 weeks having to use layers of thick blankets to replace their Chinese air over spring technology'. The representative arrived and installed it (after we went without the full couch for five weeks). One of the customer service reps said that we have to talk to someone from another dept to receive any compensation which hasn't happened yet and now on this date 01/04/2022 the mattress will not hold air again which I suspected would happen, due to the fact that the air mattress and electric pump were made apparently with low quality and rather flimsy looking (typical of electronic parts made in China and Mexico) materials!! P.S. The $1722.50 was required and was paid in full in cash !!!! I am in the repair bussiness and through experience especially restaurant equipment the new made in china and new made in mexico electronics has horrible reliability less than a year!!!!
Purchased a sectional on November 11th. We were told it would arrive by mid December or December 22nd at the latest. Part of the sectional was delivered on December 19th. We purchased this sectional because we were assured we would have it all before Christmas. Also out of the 3 pieces that were delivered one had a giant tear in the back. They are delivering the final piece and a replacement after Christmas. We have received no apologies. It's not ok to inconvenience and lie to your customers. My time is valuable and we would have bought elsewhere if we would have known we wouldn't be receiving this by Christmas.
We bought two couches from Levin just before Thanksgiving. The beginning of December , a front piece loosened and then came off the couch! Levin came to inspect and said that they couldn't fix it till after the holidays... so we entertained with a couch missing front trim. Levin just called to let us know that our scheduled date (tomorrow 1/26) won't work because they ordered the wrong replacement piece. 2/27- update- it has been 3 months now, and Levin has still done nothing to fix our couch
Will never shop here again. The delivery was a nightmare. All furniture came damaged and left here. They wanted to patch my BRAND NEW furniture that wasn't even a day old instead of replacing it. The sales person Ashley was good but did not seem to care much after the sale was done. Probably got her commission and that's all that matters. I'll look elsewhere next time.
DO NOT buy from Levin. I ordered furniture in November and now I'm told it won't be here til April. THIS company lies. DO NOT buy from them
My husband and I went in to purchase furniture knowing it could be months before we received it. We made it clear, that we were going to buy regardless of the wait time as were more than willing to wait. All we asked of Steve was to tell us an honest answer, the best estimate. Steve assisted us, promised us a date for early August stating there are no back orders on our chosen items. Since early August when have been waiting on our furniture. My husband and I spoke with Steve several times, and he was less than helpful, talking loudly over us, and pretty much told us to suck it up and bye bye for now. We spoke with another representative at this same location in mid September, and she told us we were #15 in the list and move up quite a bit since August, and the manufacturer reported possibly January or February before we would get our furniture! Come to find out , Steve had blatantly lied to our faces, knowing all along we wouldn't get any of our furniture in two weeks! That's not the way you treat anyone, let alone customers who keep you employed. It's a shame, because people like him will ruin a business's reputation. We canceled the order and went to Wayside. While there browsing, we met two other families that shared our experience with Levin. We bought our dining table, sofa, and chair from Wayside and it was delivered about 3 weeks ago. Same quality, fairer pricing, and no dishonest salesman. It wasn't about the backorder, it was the dishonorable behavior that solidified our decision to spend our money elsewhere. Don't shop at Levin furniture.
We ordered our furniture yesterday and salesman we worked with was Tim A. He was kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. It was a true pleasure talking to him. He made our experience amazing and we are so excited about our new furniture. I have already referred a few of my friends to go to Levin, in Mentor. Beautiful store and wonderful people to work with. Very satisfied.
I honestly cannot and will not ever shop this company again and I will always strongly discourage people from ever getting anything from this company. I bought a dining room table from them paid for it and have been promised delivery of my bench since may of 2022, to date all I'm getting are empty promises about the time frame. I reached out today and spoke with customer service, I stated how unfair it was I paid for my bench in April 2022, she stated i didn't pay for it , not until I receive the bench, I did pay for it as I have my cc statement as proof, she talked and treated me like a child.I asked her for corporates phone number, she gave me the incorrect phone number, I also asked to speak to her manager at that store she said he's on a conference call, every time I asked for him that's the standard answer I get.
The furniture that we purchased is nice. It looks good and is of good quality. However, I advise anyone that purchases from this store to double check their receipt. We were charged for 3 things that we did not want totaling over $500. We never said we wanted the insurance plan or 2 mattress covers that somehow showed up on the receipt. When questioned, the workers told us by adding these items this is how we got our discount which makes absolutely no sense. Unfortunately, as a result of this deception we will not purchase from this store again.
Everyone was very nice and answered every question I had. I looked around with a nice woman named Vickie and she was absolutely awesome. It's a great store
Buyer Beware: I would like to share my recent experiences with Levin Furniture in Canonsburg. We recently purchased a 3 bedroom home and went to Levin to buy bunk beds for the kid's rooms. We specifically bought the house so that our children (son and daughter) wouldn't have to share a room anymore. We picked them out and were very excited about them. They came in two colors (chestnut and charcoal), so we bought one of each. We set up delivery a few days later on Saturday (8/24). Delivery day comes and they bring the beds. It's a team of three, they get to work setting them up. They finish one and it looks great, but there is a problem with the second one. Apparently the rails don't fit in the headboard, so they will need to redeliver. They take the rails with them and leave all the other parts with us. No big deal, right? Hardly. They said someone would call me on Monday to schedule. I did not hear from them. So Tuesday I called them. We played phone tag for days and finally set up delivery for Saturday, 9/7. I should add the deliver dispatch lady originally wanted to just send the rails and make me put the bed together myself. I politely explained that would not work and that we had paid for someone to deliver the bed and put it together. We worked it out. So 9/7 comes along and the same delivery team comes with the new rails. They start to put it together and discover that they sent the wrong color! So they have to leave and tell me that it will need to be re delivered again. At this point I called Levin Furniture and speak to a Manager, Dave. He offers me a $200 gift certificate for my troubles and says we will get this straightened out. We set up delivery for Saturday 9/21. (I am only available on Saturdays because I work Monday through Friday.) Saturday rolls around and a new delivery team arrives. I chuckle and tell them, third time is a charm, right? Well, in short, no. They have the correct color rails, but they still don't fit together. So they take everything with them and let me know that someone will call me to set up redelivery for the *fourth* time. The next available time is Wednesday, 9/25, which will work because my husband happens to be off that day. So yesterday comes and the delivery team calls me to let me know they will be there in a few minutes. A couple of minutes later, I get a call back and they tell me there is a problem and they can't put the bed together because they have two different colored parts. My husband goes out to the truck and confirms and has to send them away. After work yesterday I physically went to Levin Furniture store to complain. I meet with Dave the manager that I had previously spoken to. He is astounded with the incompetence level, but doesn't have an immediate solution so he sends me away empty handed and says he'll call me that night to let me know the solution. I finally get the call around 9pm and he says he hopes they can deliver it on Saturday 9/28. So here I am a month later, with children that are still sharing a room, in a house that cannot be fully unpacked because one bedroom is unusable without a bed in it, holding onto the hope that they *might* be able to fit me in on Saturday. Sorry this is so long, but Do Not Buy Furniture From Levin!! Also, the $200 gift certificates is of little consequence as I have no desire to buy anything from them ever again. It is a useless piece of paper.
I tried to pick up an order recently from this location and had a horrible experience with one of the costumer service representatives. Not only did the service leave a bad taste in my mouth, but they were missing half of my order. I would NOT recommend going to this location unless you are willing to deal with employees who have nasty attitudes and finding out your furniture has gone missing.
I did a quick lunchtime tour of Levin recently over my lunch break. We purchased our family room sectional sofa from Levin (not this location but one south of the city) nearly nine years ago, so I'm casually looking to buy a replacement in the next year or two. To be honest, I wasn't that impressed with the selection. I have a more transitional aesthetic in furniture - and knew going into the store that Levin is quite traditional - but I expected to see at least one or two pieces that I would like to buy. The few transitional sofas that I saw did not have fabric options that I liked very much. I know Levin can do custom items - our current sofa was actually a custom fabric - so I think it would be worth returning to speak with an associate in more detail once we're ready to pull the trigger.
We ordered a couch on December 9, 2018 and paid in full. WE STILL DO NOT HAVE THE COUCH IN OUR HOME!! We also bought a mattress and box spring set the same day (we got it 3 weeks later). We spent a good amount of money that day and are not happy at all! I will never recommend Levin's to anyone nor will I shop there again. This is unacceptable and I will tell everyone I know 3/7/19 Update: Levin's contacted me and corrected the problem. Our couch was delivered yesterday. Thank you to Santino (store manager) for taking care of us.
My wife and I went into this store back in idk maybe September and ordered a king size bed frame and armoire. We went and paid cash for everything and chose pickup. They said the armoire was about a month out and the head bored and footboard and rails would be in around mid November. I picked up the armoire when it came in. Come mid November I had to call for an update because the store doesn't bother keeping the customer updated even though you just gave them $800. So when I called for an updated on my already paid in full order when I called after get transferred from person to person to person eventually I was told my salesman would call me back. Upon the salesmen calling me back (he was a very nice older gentleman) I was told the order would be in in January, upon calling today I was now told it isn't even suspected of being shipped till the end of this month. No apology's no offer of any kind of money back, no offer of free delivery not a single thing. I've been waiting for my bed frame for what seems like forever at this point. I was better off going with a different store there's too many furniture stores out there and now I know too never do business with them again.
I purchased my kitchen table 11/2019 and still at Christmas I didn't have a delivery date which the reason I bought my table was to have it for Christmas when my family came to town! So I called and asked for the floor model and was told yes so I had to drive with my daughter from out of town and pick up my own table there is a scratch on top no discount given and still waiting on my chairs so I went there last week and spoke amanda and manager Suzan was supposed to look into the chairs and call me back still never heard nor received my chairs! Horrible horrible customer service please think twice before buying from this store!
Very disappointed with the Middleburg Heights Levin store. Purchased a couch and recliner the beginning of January. Furniture was delivered in mid April. The delivery men were not trained They did not know the couch came apart and could have easily been brought in by sections. Instead they attempted to carry it in one piece and dropped it ripping the couch. we called immediately. We were told a piece would be ordered and the couch would be repaired. FINALLY in late June a repairman came. PROBLEM SOLVED DEFINITELY NOT! The part was the wrong color and for the wrong side of the couch. We were told a Rush order would be put in. Almost 2 MONTHS LATER and still nothing has been done. Went to the store and talked to management. They did nothing to help except give me Customer Service phone number. The gentleman I talked to could not understand why I was upset. The local store claimed no responsibility pushing it all on corporate. Don't bother telling me to call Customer Service. It's gotten me nowhere. They have my money. That's all they care about.
Ordered a couch in August and was given a 10-12 week delivery timeframe. I honestly didn't expect the couch until Christmas due to COVID. We called the store after 10 weeks to get a better estimation of the delivery date. We were told that our order had been pushed to April 2021. There was no proactive outreach nor any kind of apology for not communicating the change in delivery timeframe. I understand warehouses are backed up and COVID restrictions are slowing business, however, 8 months to wait for a couch doesn't seem logical to me. I ended up cancelling my order as this entire process has been shady from the start. You'd think a company arising back out of bankruptcy and scandal would put customer service first. Guess I was wrong for giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Only if you want to wait 4 months for your couch to be delivered. You can build a house faster than that.
I bought a queen mattress to pick up 6 days later. Later in the week, I noticed that they rung me up for a long, though the price matched the queen. I was supposed to pick it up in a Sunday. I called to let them know that they rung up the wrong mattress. They said that the queen wouldn't be available for another two weeks and said they they don't have Sunday pick ups presently. When I asked them to explain why everything was so messed up, they blamed it on a new salesperson. When I asked how a pick up date could go in the system when it's not available, they said every store is different. I purchased it at the same store that I was to pick it up at. They took no accountability for any of the mistakes. There are too many mattress stores out there. I'll try another.
Ordered a pair of lamps was told they would be in today. Called to make sure they were ready for pick up and was told they were not. Sales rep forgot to put a date on the order and now I have to wait another 3 days. Should have been a simple straight forward order, I guess not though! Disappointing!
A word of caution...I had new furniture delivered a few weeks back and the large delivery truck backed into my driveway, my SUV didn't have a scratch on it, but when they left it had a huge dent in the front quarter panel. They, including their insurance would not pay for the damage since I didn't witness them actually striking my vehicle and of course the driver didn't admit to hitting it,even though their truck had damage that matched the damage on my vehicle. What's even worse is I have been buying furniture from them for 15 years and their corporate office wouldn't even give me the benefit of returning my call. So much for building a returning customer bae!!! Or being responsible as a corporation!!
I had a love seat and couch delivered in Feb. the delivery guys damaged the door frame of my brand new house . It has been 3 months now and they still have not sent me the check to have it fixed . We have called and emailed and they keep saying the check has been sent. Never again Levin !!
Sadly customer loyalty isn't valued. We are a returning customer, found a really comfortable sectional on Aug 6, but were told the earliest it, as a popular item, would be in the warehouse for delivery would be the 18th. Then they don't deliver (in this day and age) on a Sunday or Monday. So then would be 20th at the earliest before it could be loaded and delivery the 24th!! We were askance, in California you can get same or next day most of the time. Update by phone today, earliest for delivery might, might be the 29th. Went in, and the attitude was, can't do. Told them that was unacceptable, won't sell the floor model, despite having paid in full in cash, as 40 ahead of us. They might offer something more off it, but upshot is still the 29th. Told her that's the attitude that puts local stores out of business. She alleged they can't do a manual override re delivery. Their math didn't add up as to the delay and despite having over 40 delivery trucks, their logistics management of those isn't up to other stores. Haven't they heard of staggered shifts, or when having frequent sales, planning ahead to have their furniture ready to go. Will never buy from them again or recommend them to others.
For the first time in my 54 years, somebody delivered an appliance or furniture and didn't take the old one away. No one said that it would be that way. I called Levin's and they said it was up to the delivery company; the delivery company said they couldn't even move old furniture because of their insurance restrictions. So now I have a great new ottoman and chair -- and an old chair and ottoman in the middle of my living room that I have no good way to get rid of. Be warned.
caveat this with we didn't actually purchase anything, so maybe that process is different. We came in around 430 to look around. I'm always apprehensive because sales people like to do their thing and it can be overwhelming, but the woman was very nice. She didn't try to sell us on anything in particular. She showed us to the area and answered questions. She even played with my kid who was trying to get on stuff. So, overall, I felt relaxed as I was looking around at the furniture. Logistics: coming in I saw a wheel chair, so I'm guessing that can be used for those who need it. They also have small bottles of water. They have couches on the first floor and, I think, dining rooms. The second floor has bedroom sets (kids and adults). There is an escalator in the middle to join the two floors, but there is also an elevator at the back (large enough for wheelchairs or strollers). there's also a bathroom and water fountain up stairs by the elevator. The furniture is very solid and good quality. We have a bedroom set that they carry and like it very much. I can see us having it for a long time. My only disappointment is that they aren't in more towns! They will deliver (most/all?) pieces in a 30 mile radius.
I purchased a mattress and was told I had 3 days prior to shipment to cancel and I would receive all my money back. I canceled as I found a better deal and they would refund the mattress BUT NOT THE WARRANTY. What kind of bull is that? The worst part is the guest services and the guy that sold it to me took it like it was personal. My guy, I got a better deal, you didn't sell me I bought it telling you I was still looking. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Go to Macys or something this place is a racket.
They have really nice products here, but the customer service made us decide not to purchase anything here. We came in looking for a new couch set to upgrade our old furniture. Our budget wasn't huge, but we weren't asking for Ikea prices, either. Upon finding out we weren't planning on spending over a few thousand dollars, the sales representative immediately looked down her nose at us, almost literally. She repeatedly showed us a very ugly couch we'd already told her we disliked, and then repeatedly showed us more options that were both quite a bit more expensive than the number we had quoted and quite the opposite of what we were looking for aesthetically. We eventually escaped her and found the outlet section, which she hadn't bothered to tell us about, and then she was a bit huffy when she found us there. It didn't end up having anything that fit what we were looking for, but I'm not sure why she wouldn't at least want to show us the option-- apparently not making a sale was better than making a mid-size one. We did see a table set here that we quite liked, but this was 'How to Not Sell Furniture 101' so we ended up getting a different one elsewhere. They did have quality furniture, but we won't be back.
Absolutely wonderful experience! We came there knowing what we wanted & Mick was able to not only show us the exact pieces we wanted but also give the best protection for it. At no point did we ever feel pressured or overwhelmed. Upon finalizing our purchase we found ourselves talking to Mick about sports, colleges, hunting etc. like we were chatting with a friend. I would highly recommend going the Levin based on our experience. We can't wait for our furniture!
Do not buy a mattress from this place the quality is horrible and they do not do anything about problems but give you the run around Several people have the same problem but the refuse to fix it. Do yourself a favor buy elsewhere
on May 25 I bought and paid for in full a king mattress and special ordered 2 recliner chairs. Was told the chairs would be in in 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks I called and was told probably 2 more weeks. I called frequently and they kept extending the due date 2 more weeks. After 12 weeks I spoke to a manager who apologized and PROMISED delivery on Aug 13. On Aug 9 got a call to confirm delivery on Aug 13 between 10:20 AM and 12:20. On Aug 11 received a call that one chair was still not done and there would be no delivery yet. At this point I cancelled the order and have asked for a full refund to my credit card. Every time I turn on the TV I am bombarded with advertisements for Levins. 'the biggest sale of the century' Perhaps the store should stop enticing new customers with these ads and focus on taking care of current customers. With the promise of delivery I gave our old chairs to a neighbor so we now have no chairs in our living room and need to start all over again to buy the chairs ...Lazy Boy here we come. I am soooo done with Levins. I kept my part of the contract as in payment in full with order. Levins did not keep their part with timely delivery. I have put this out on social media and was surprised to find out that the Levins name is not very well thought of . Many negative responses to my post and most were for issues similar to mine.
The in store Experience was GREAT!!! The delivery(that never happend) and customer service was far far far below a 1 star review I will be taking my money elsewhere and would tell other to do the same.
Don't go buy furniture hear even if your desperate! Poor furniture even worse salesman!very pushy very rude
I followed the managers instruction who commented on my original review and reached out to the customer service email. Unfortunately, that was a waste of time because I was advised of the same thing I was told the first time. Seams being ripped are only covered under the manufacturers warranty for 1 year. The extra warranty I purchased does not cover the seam being ripped. My future needs will bring me elsewhere as I will never step foot into Levin again.
Ordered a new couch, chair and 2 ottomans in AUGUST it is now MARCH and no couch yet....they say it's due to Covid but come on thats a long time to wait!!!!! Maybe don't advertise openings at new locations when you cannot fulfill the orders!!! Oh...and no refunds or price adjustments are being offered due to Covid.......and the wait continues. Ugh...just ugh!!
I purchased a couch and a chair in a half 2 years ago and the cushions on my couch are coming a part at the seams. This is the second time this has happened. The first time was within 3 months of me purchasing the furniture so it was still under warranty so they came like almost 2 month later to fix it. Now 2 years later, and me also getting the warranty on my furniture, was told that the seams are not covered!!! They said they can send someone out to look at this and possibly sew it, so I agreed. I waited 2 weeks for someone to call me back and schedule an appointment but no call!! Decided to call them to find out what the deal is, and why I haven't been reached out to! The lady told me that she could not get a contractor to come this far North to fix the problem. Really??? The drive is 35 minute away!! I am so disgusted and mad that I have spent this much money on my furniture, only for it to fall apart. This will be the last time I will ever buy anything from Levins and if you take the time to read the review, I think you would understand why you should also shop elsewhere!!
I ordered my furniture from Levin's in mid February they told me it would be delivered mid March but forgot to tell me about the bankruptcy setting everything back...so I got rid of all my furniture thinking I was getting my dinning room set, living room set and hutch ...now I'm in an empty house and Levin's tells me it will be in May before I get my furniture..sitting on lawn chairs in my house is not what I expected to be doing .I'm so mad I have contacted the store several times with no answers and now they are closed to covid 19 lol omg I will never buy from them again and would be embarrassed to recommend them to my friends ..give me my furniture PLEASE!!! I mean what kind of furniture store are you if you don't have the merchandise I bought ...again just give me what I bought ..I'm contacting the BBB if I can't get this resolved ..
I have bought furniture 4 diff times from levins in middleburg Heights. My saleslady, Gwen was awesome each time. Problem im having is with the mattress pad warranty they sold me on 2 diff bed purchases on 2 diff times. Once was when robert levin still owned the company and then another when the other company owned it. The warr plan was for 3 mattress protector covers for the set price over 10 years. As a pad wore out or was damaged you would bring it in to the store and they would replace it with a new one at no charge up to 3 times in 10 years. I called the other day and was told by the snotty girl that answered the phone that any warranties are not being covered since robert levin bought the company back. I spoke with the store manager - polite, but not helpful. Was told the same thing... that robert levin made the decision NOT to honor any warranties and that i was out of luck since the other company filed for bankruptcy. I explained that the first purchase was when robert originally owned it and was again told oh well, they are not honoring it. So i apparently have been screwed out of hundreds of dollars on these 2 protection plans that will not be honored. Horrible way to do business and horrible way to treat loyal, repeat customers... just sad. If you shop here, i would not waste money on any type of protection plans or extra warranties since you won't get what you're paying for. No respect for mr levin anymore... plenty of other furniture stores to give my business to.
Decades long customer/More than $20K in purchases over the years...will never shop there again. Deceptive sales practices (straight out lies), bought mattress set in last couple weeks, told that if I bought mattress pad/pillow combo ( more than$400) would get 2 free pad exchanges. I have done this in past, when I went in for exchange of previously bought pad, told they no longer do that or honor that package, though they sold me that pad package 2 weeks prior. Would never have purchased the pad/pillows if I had known that. Got no satisfaction, Levin lost me and my family as life long customers...hope you are happy
We got furniture from here and it is very slippery and of not good quality. It was not worth the money spent. Plus when I went here, I wanted to use the massage chairs but the older women working, rudely told me no because I was to young. There are better options for furniture people! This ain't it!
Run the other direction QUICKLY!! Leather Flexsteel doesn't even last 2 years!! Definitely go elsewhere!
I don't think that one star is a low enough rating for the experience we have had. My wife and I moved into the Wexford area in December and made the decision to leave all of our old furniture behind us and start over new. We were then taxed with furnishing a 4 bedroom 5 bathroom house. Being that we have heard such good things about Levin's and that we live within 5 minutes of this one's location, we decided to give them ALL of our business. We spent several thousands of dollars on furniture at Levin's in Wexford. No monthly payments. No layaway. One large upfront payment. Here is a list of the things we purchased: 1 King storage bed 1 King headboard 1 King storage floorboard w/slats 1 Right king side storage rail 1 Left king side storage rail 2 Three drawer nightstands 1 Austin chocolate chair 1 Austin chocolate ottoman 1 Six piece power sectional (Klaussner Islander) 1 Bingo brown loveseat 1 Bingo brown couch And insurance on all of these items We made this purchase a few days before Christmas, so we knew there might be a small delay in delivery. We were told out of all the purchased items, the six piece sectional (the most expensive piece) would be ready for delivery before the end of the month (December 2018) and that all other items would be delivered 'ASAP.' We were told however that delivery on weekends would cost extra despite the large payment that was made in full. Six days later Levin's made their first delivery to our home. In that delivery we received the King sized bed furnishings, the nightstands that go with it, and the Austin chocolate chair, but not the ottoman that goes with it.... the chair was damaged during their delivery. I called and left voicemails multiple times about the damage to the chair and wasn't answered for days. When they finally returned my call, well into the new year, they told me that the earliest available appointment to have a technician come out to fix the chair (that their employees ruined) wasn't until January 15th and that they do not service on weekends. A second delivery was made to our home (again on a weekday requiring me to get time off of work) about a week after the first. This time they delivered the loveseat and couch that were meant for our basement but couldn't be brought downstairs due to size..... I'm told the ottoman and sectional will be held for a third deliver. Yes, the same sectional that was supposed to be ready for delivery by the end of 2018. Fast forward to January 15, 2019. The repairman comes to our home to fix the chair that was delivered damaged. (This is now the third time Levin's has had to come to our home... and that I had to take off of work to be there). He shows up and asks where the end-table is that needs repairing. WE DIDN'T even purchase an end table. I then show him what he is supposed to be fixing and he informs me that even though I waited over 10 days for him to be available for this fix, that he wouldn't be able to fix the chair that day because he doesn't have the part. When I asked him when it would be ready he estimated 4-6 weeks! So not only do I have to take yet another day off from work to let the repairman in again, I have to wait over a month to have the issue that THEY CAUSED fixed. Also, we still don't have a delivery date set for the sectional, that was paid for, and was promised to be delivered to us almost a month ago!... this btw would make the fifth time Levin's needed me to take off work so I can let them into my home. My calls and voicemails to costumer service have not been returned and I still don't have all of the furniture that I purchased. This is by far the worst costumer service that I have ever experienced in any aspect of my life! I, nor anyone in my family, will ever be purchasing anything from a Levin's again.
Walked in. Greeted right as we walked in the door. Everyone was over friendly and attentive. Purchased a clearance bedroom set and was still treated very well. We will definitely be back!!!
Buy your junk furniture here. Over priced and guaranteed to not meet expectations. Bought a mattress from here, sides split. Had to fight for a refund. Major hassle. Never again
Very disappointed. Ordered two couches two tables and complete bedroom set. The couches and tables came in 4 separate deliveries. That's 4 days I had to take off. As of today 3/1/22 I am still waiting for remaining bedroom. Bedroom set came in another 4 separate deliveries. They took my money 11/2/2020. Yes that's 2020 and I am still waiting for rest of bed posts. The c/s girl yelled at me I need to be patient. I've had my house torn apart 17 months I think I've been patient. I had no furniture over Christmas because they 'lost my couches' and I hosted Christmas. I am now requesting they take the bedroom set and refund me cash NOT store credit. The bed is still on 3-5 month back order. Levine used to be so great. Now they are sub par. People need to stop blaming pandemic
Today I called the number the owners said to call to see if they could resolve the problem with the mattress and instead was hustling for information on how to sale more products to unsuspecting customers Ken Johnson should be ashamed of himself for not honoring their customers. Beauty rest only sales extra firm and plush mattresses called seaqual and I didn't test a plush. Levin doesn't sale used furniture so I wonder what they do with the comfort guarantees that they get back. Oh the comfort guarantee is a mattress cover a pillow which I was never told about and the mattress I bought the mattress cover. Ken was shameless at asking questions but proud to tell me he was not going to take his merchandise back I am supposed to get my couch Wednesday I will be home lets see what they come up with or can I just cancel it.
I came in today looking to buy a couch, loveseat, a coffee table and two end tables. I found a set I liked, but no one greeted me. I was sitting on multiple couches and really checking things out. It isn't like I was just strolling through. A woman walked past me multiple times and ignored me. I wasn't sure she worked there. A man walked past me to greet people at the door. I finally decided to leave. On my way out, the woman who had ignored me multiple times got off her phone (she was sitting there on her phone) and finally acknowledged me. She wasn't friendly AT ALL and seemed more annoyed by my being there than anything. I told her I was ignored and that I don't want to shop where I am ignored. She then offered to help, but I had decided to go elsewhere at that point. I went to a competitor and spent my money. I felt like I was being judged by my outward appearance and didn't look like I was going to spend money. Boy were they wrong and I probably won't return in the future because of that.
I purchased a FlexSteel sofa over a year ago and for some reason the leather peeled on a seat cushion. I called for warranty repair in October or November and still do not have this fixed. I called numerous times and was once told they received the wrong color and had to reorder, then told it was never ordered. I called again today and was told they have to reorder the part due to the previous company filing bankruptcy (geez, no wonder). WHAT??? They said new owner is 'trying to honor' the warranties bought from the previous owner. Trying?? This was an outrageously expensive sofa with an outrageously expensive warranty!! I am SO disappointed in this. This was my 3rd time buying from them and will be my last!!! I hope Robert Levin turns his company back around for all the employees sake, but I will be staying away!!
Deb Restifo was amazing. We told her what we wanted and she found us the perfect couch that no other furniture store could seem to accommodate. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes! Thank you so much Deb!!!
I ordered a dining room set, a mattress, couch set, and an adjustable frame. Julie is awesome and super helpful! She treated us like family, not just a sale. We absolutely love her and plan on getting more furniture from her! The delivery was early (they called first to make sure we would be there). Those guys were very friendly. They were here for 20 mins tops and got everything set up for us with no issues! Highly recommend Julie and the delivery service! They were all amazing!! And how can you not love this furniture?
My husband & I paid an interior decorator from Levin to help set up our new living room. We purchased 2 large sofas, 2 accent chairs, 2 end tables, a coffee table, & a console table. The 2 sofas have worn horribly. We began making complaints early on to our decorator/sales woman, Rachel Haser, who advised she would make a claim for us but never did. We bought an extended 5 yr warranty on the furniture which has not expired. We paid close to $10,000 for our living room furniture & close to $4,000 for the couches alone. I have been battling for over a month to have the sofas replaced or compensated in some sort of way. This whole process has been disheartening & exhausting to say the least. We were even told to 'accidentally' destroy the sofas on 2 separate occasions so our complaint would be 'valid'. I feel bullied their customer service & will not make any purchases from this company again. They tried to offer me a $1000 gift certificate to Levin, that said, I would still have to pay thousands more to replace the sofas plus $199 in shipping. They also wanted to terminate my 5 yr warranty early so they could get rid of me. At this moment, I will not make any more purchases through Levin unless they make this matter right.
There was a problem with our order. A manager stepped in and fixed everything in the best way possible. We have ordered a ton of furniture from here and will continue to do so. Exceptional customer service. Thank you Levin
Deeply disappointed! We purchased a sofa and two matching chairs in July 2019. The salesman told us it was real leather. Not true. Had sofa serviced for the reclining mechanism which still doesn't work properly. While he was there I showed him how the material was breaking at the seam and peeling. He took a picture and showed it to his manager. She called and said they would replace. He came out to replace the cushion but had to order more material for the arm. When he came back out and pulled the material out, it was bright yellow; my sofa is a dark brown. He said he would reorder. Then covid hit and they were no longer doing any home servicing. Said they would come in a few months; during which time they closed and Mr. Levin bought it back. When I called the service department about it the manager phoned me back and told me they will not honor any issues from the previous owner. We stopped and talked to the manager in Greensburg who also told us it was out of his hands. Well so are all of my future furniture purchases. After searching the Internet and BBB reviews found out alot of customers had this problem with the material peeling. Levin needs to make this right.
Went in with intent to buy a few couches, I was ignored by sales people four of them in-fact, as they sat on couches and talked to one another about ' getting drinks ' later together. One guy walked right past me and didn't even acknowledge me. I won't be back. I'll take my money to an establishment with actual people who speak with their customers.
This review is a commentary of misinformation, inability to stand by a product, and the waste of money the Guardian Warranties is for their furniture. When checking out in purchasing $3000 in furniture, the sales person did the usual ' you need the extended warranty' for your leather couch. After much back and forth, I decided based on what they were telling me (and putting in writing), that coverage would be worth it. The last point is, 'if you never use your warranties, you will get store credit in the future.' Fast forward - the warranty is needed. Two accidental slices occurred into the leather. I went through Levin's, who directed me to the Guardian Plans, and submitted my claim. The claim, three days later, comes back denied - with the inability to provide further information to for the case. The reason - the accident in the accidental coverage was not enough. I called Levin's to follow-up and to see if they could help in anyway, was told no, and hung up on as I was in mid-sentence asking about the future store credit that may come since the warranty was not used. So if they have a piece of furniture that you really want - go for it. Don't bother about the warranty... no matter what is said, because it is another $200 that they are adding on to your bill that won't pan out.
We had the privelege of doing business with Michael Bennett. He was very patient and informative on all the furniture while we made our decision, and had useful tips on how to get the best for our money. As far as his patience, he gave us the time we needed to make decisions and didn't hover, yet gave us his attention making sure things were going well from time to time. His professionalism was very much appreciated and we will continue to do our business with him in future visits.
My wife and I ordered a sofa set at the end of September 2020. We were told that since we had ordered it the exact same way the floor model was, that we would receive it within 12-16weeks. 18 weeks had passed and we did not receive any update on delivery, so I reached out to them and they pushed the date out, without calling and communicating that to us. This ended up happening 2 more times, with us having to reach out to them for an update. Finally we decided because lack of communication and poor customer service that we were just going to cancel our order and get refunded. We were told that we could not cancel the order because it was too close to our delivery date. So here we are, 8 months later and we were finally getting it delivered and then it would not fit through our door, the delivery guys took it back to the store, was called later that day and was told it's a special order so 'it's yours' so I asked how is this a special order if I ordered it exactly how it was on the floor, was told let me speak to my manager and I'll get back with you... still waiting on a call back!
So TODAY we were suppose to have furniture delivered. Called us on Thursday that our time was 7:20am-9:20am. I live in the snow belt, and I can tell you while yesterday the roads were pretty crappy, today they are FINE! 9:20am passed, 10am passed. I called the number 844-600-1795 to be told all deliveries were canceled. NO CALL to tell me, I HAD TO CALL. UNACCPETABLE! Husband took off work to move stuff around, (which we did at 7am), and yesterday we had old couch picked up. SO NO WHERE TO SIT! Have spoken to 3 different people (first person at customer service hung up on me) only to be told the best they can do is a Tueday late afternoon delivery. ALSO, not willing to compensate me at all, even though their web site states a $50 gift card if they are even late..... NOTHING. Now, I have spoken to Kristen the manager at Mentor location and I am waiting a call back today to advise why I cannot get delviered sooner, or what compensation will be. Also, calling the customer service back and phones are either not being answered or they are having phone issues. Probably because they didn't call anyone and tell them they were canceling ALL THEIR DELIVERIES TODAY!~ IF I had been called at 7am and told I was not getting delivery today, and apologized to and rescheduled, I would NOT be AS upset. But since I had to call MYSELF, and betold AFTER the fact, YES I AM MAD. HORRRIBLE SERVICE. The fact that they are not even WILLING to compensate is terrible. Inconveincing people and not even notifying them is terrible. Very upset since we were recommended by a friend to go here. NEVER AGAIN. I will also be letting all my family and friends know what a bad experience this was. It could have easily been just a small issue, but the terrible response and lack of follow-up made it very poor. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Also, I posted this on their facebook page and they marked it as spam. I will be posting this ALL OVER social media!
I needed a new bedroom set. Our bed frame was broken in our move. So, I went and looked around. I've always shopped at Levin. From my living room, to my spare room. I don't usually ask for help because I like to look and get out as quickly as possible. Lol! I may have come off as rude to the staff. Sorry for that. I'm really not the shopping type. I made a beeline for the bedroom stuff. Ignored everyone trying to help. In and out in under 20 minutes. Boom! Delivery was set up for 2 days later. The guys who delivered were great, the uh set it up for me and removed the old metal frame. They were awesome. Great experience! Thanks!
Purchased a GRAND LEGACY KING Ultra Firm mattress 11-2015. Purchase price was $1900.00. Even after 2 years this mattress is total garbage. I have rotated this mattress every 3-4 months but even still the groves are so deep I can not roll over in bed. If I wanted a 2 year mattress I would have gone to Goodwill. I sleep better in a $600.00 LazyBoy chair then I do in this piece of garage. Cording to the poor customer service at Levin the groves have to be 1-1/2 inches before anything can be done. I'm at 1-1/4 inches. A MATTRESS OF THIS 'QUALITY' SHOULD LAST MORE THAN 2 YEARS.
I will never buy furniture from Levins again or recommend them to anyone them. All the material is peeling away after 4-5 years. Now I don't expect furniture to look brand new after 4 or 5 years but I do t expect it to like this... We can't even have company come over and sit on our couches since they are falling apart. Not only is the material peeling away but the seems are pulling away and all the threads are showing. It is a mess... I would not purchase furniture from Levins unless you don't mind purchasing furniture every couple years.
Nice selection of furniture. We just bought some from Edwina. She was a delight, not to mention very patient, with us in choosing a perfect living room set for our needs. We'll be back and we'll be sure ask for her again.
My boyfriend and I stopped here just to look for a mattress and begin our comparison shopping but once we were greeted by Nicole and shown our options it was clear we wanted to look no further. She was so informative and even more importantly she was helpful if she didn't have the answer she found it immediately! Although we were making a small purchase of a mattress she did not make us feel pressured to sign up for credit or try to up sell us beyond our budget. This was a true example how customer service goes a long way! Absolutely everyone in this store was helpful. We had several interactions with different departments and they all went Above and beyond. Definitely ask for Nicole (Nikki) if you're looking to get the best possible piece of furniture at the best possible price for the best possible quality.
We had a good in store purchase experience with a luxury mattress and power base, and mattress protector to extend the warranty. Unfortunately with delivery, there was damage to the mattress, dirt, staining, torn handle, torn mattress seam where handle was sewn. The mattress protector has a very poor fit. The delivery staff mentioned nothing about the damage. Quickly covered the damage with the mattress cover and left the piece torn off on the floor. The mattress cover is so poorly fitting that it is visible over the top of the mattress with the bed being made, as well as causes sliding of the bedding with fitted sheet. Waiting call back from Levin to resolve this. Maybe a luxury mattress a few thousand dollars later. Luxury customer experience ended with the in store sale. I couldn't be more disappointed.
I was attempting to buy a TV stand here, they had a very nice fireplace integrated one that I've been looking for. I couldn't get anyone to help me, and when I asked a sales rep a question about delivery I was met with a pretty hearty sigh. I would of purchased here, but I just could not find someone to help me at this location.
The products looked nice and the prices were decent. Suggest purchasing when they are having sales though. I had a hole in my original couch which I call immediately about. It took over 5 weeks for it to be exchanged and that was because I called multiple times to customer service. At 1st, they wanted someone to come out and inspect the couch which would have taken another day of waiting for someone to show up that I don't have cause of my work schedule. Finally after the 4th person I talked to (after the sales person, after the Mentor store manager Kristen, and after 2 customer service reps) one lady in the service dept suggested I send a picture of the damage and they would be able to just send a new couch. Mind you, I sent a picture to my sales rep Day 1 without any response for 2 weeks until I called the store twice to try to talk to him on the phone. His only response was that it was out of his hands and to try to call customer service (Bill). I'm very disappointed in the customer service and the amount of time this issue took to be resolved. I finally have a couch without a hole, but it took 5 weeks longer than it should have! Glad to be done with Levin.
Purchased several items from this location before and have not had a problem. However, I purchased a coffee table in July that has been delivered twice with major damages. Levins wanted to 'fix' it instead of reordering the furniture I paid for. The 3rd time the coffee table was to be delivered, someone called to cancel the delivery day of only after not showing up at all! The next delivery for my item is supposedly in December. Not only has it almost been 6 months for me to receive my final item I have purchased, but the delivery customer service team was extremely rude and management at the Wexford location was not only unkind, but could not help a customer who has been going there for over 20 years. Needless to say, I am cancelling my order and will never shop at any Levins locations again. You've lost a valued family of customers.
Ordered a couch in May. Was told due to covid and slow producion that it would't be delivered unil early July. We acceped this as most stores had a similar waiting period. Come mid July, no word. When I called I was told it was delayed until the end of July. July came and went, called them again. Was told it was delayed until early Sept. and again, nothing. When I called I was told the end of the month, guess what, still no couch. We were told by our sales person that they would talk to a manager about geting us a discount. He never called us back. Now, the last time we were able to get in touch with them (not our salesman, but just the store), the couch isn't coming until November and they have stopped answering our calls, and our salesman won't call us back. I regret making a purchase with them.
Expensive chairs coming apart at the seams. Called Levin repeatedly and the people I spoke to have been rude. The repair person was rude. Took photos of furniture and I'm still waiting to hear. No response. Beware of Levin
Very disappointed with Levins. Just got off the phone with their customer service department. I showed them pictures two days ago of a recliner that I bought there. It was a 'leather blend'. It is four years old, so I do understand that it is out of warranty. But, the cover of it is 'peeling off'. It started a year ago and had gotten progressively worse. The back is completely peeled off; much of the seat is and the arms are starting to pee. Now, the sofa that I bought at the same time has no problem. The recliner's mechanism works, the cushions (upholstery) is good, but the cover is peeling off! All I asked for was a $40 to buy a cover, but they wouldn't do that. That's not customer service. Don't buy furniture that is 'leather blend'; stick will all leather.
My boyfriend and I picked out a sectional at a different Levin location in September and, although we gave the dimensions of his living room, we had to return it when it was delivered the first week of March because it technically fit, but blocked his fireplace-- not good. We knew the delivery guys were upset they had to pick up the sectional, but we were pretty disappointed too since we had waited so long for a couch! We went to the Wexford location and Martin was awesome-- super friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in the door. He helped us sort out the credit on our account and we were able to get a floor model coffee table and a smaller sofa with the same material and color for about the same price as the sectional would have been. (Although we won't have the couch until mid May ). I would recommend working with Martin to anyone on the market for furniture!
Update April 11, 2022. After having defective furniture delivered in January and waiting until March to have service tech arrive I'm now again waiting -for parts. To make matters much worse, NO ONE from Levin calls to check or provide updates. I have to call to get my own status updates. To date, I'm still waiting for that call. Regrettable experience. Its a shame to buy new furniture and have it arrive defective and still still defective after 4 months. I would not recommend this business and I will take more steps to satisfy myself.
We ordered a couch in August and it is now mid October still have not received. We were now told it wouldn't be till November 30th and they of course are using COVID as the reason. This place should just go out of business and leave the furniture buying experience to the professionals. I'm canceling my order and going elsewhere.
This review is as much for the Warehouse staff as it is for the store itself. We have always shopped for our furniture at Levin as it is fast, convenient, and good quality furniture. On this occasion we purchased a tall chest of drawers with a bureau. We chose to pick the item up as it was a single item. The warehouse closed at 9pm on this particular occasion, due to my own negligence I decided to wait until 8pm to pick up the item. The warehouse member helped to attempt to load the box into our SUV- wouldn't you know it...too big for our SUV. I was leaving to go out of town for work the next morning- for a week. I drove home at Mach speeds (shhhhh) to retrieve my brother-in-laws pick up truck with an open bed. My wife had called Levin and let them know I was on my way down- mind you it was 8:50pm and they closed at 9pm. They could have easily not answered the phone, said we are closed, or been absolutely rude. This was NOT the case in the least bit. They waited for me (9:01pm arrival), asked a salesperson who was getting off work (in shirt and tie) to assist me load the item, and still had a very gracious personality. I can't thank you them enough. I think the sales people always get the credit- but this time the Warehouse team were the shining stars! I recommend Levin Furniture in North Canton to all my friends and family for their furniture needs.
Have had three sets of furniture from Levin -- costing upward of $4500 each time for two chairs and ottomans. The first two sets shredded within a month of having them and now...I have two chairs and ottomans that they tell me that I have to shave. Really!!! Almost $4500 and being put out each time I've had to shop and return the furniture and I have to shave the fabric. I think not! Tried to reach customer service numerous times and was told that shaving furniture is common. Really? Haven't they heard of laser? I am not going to give up battle. I'll see you at the front door of the store showing the crap that I'm supposed to shave. Stay away!!!!
This is the worst furniture store I have ever ordered from in my life. If you are looking to purchase furniture from here DON'T. All of my furniture has been extremely late and they keep pushing back my delivery date. I ordered my furniture in September and was told that it would be delivered in January. Then that got pushed back to the first week of February, now they are telling me the second or third week of march. And the sales associate I spoke to said even that isn't set in stone. I will never be ordering from here again.
Went to Levin Furniture - McMurray, PA.We bought a package for $697 before tax and shipping (about $850 after everything). This included Shelby sofa, Shelby loveseat, and 3 accent tables. Couldn't beat the price. We purchased the package on March 23rd, and our salesman told us our loveseat and sofa would be in the warehouse on March 28th and it takes 2-3 days to ship from there. We wanted a Saturday delivery, so he said that was fine and they'd be at our house April 2nd, and we'd hear from them earlier in the week to verify delivery for April 2nd (specifically March 28th whent they get to the warehouse). He told us the tables are in now (March 23) and we can get them ASAP for no extra shipping charge since we're paying for the couches. Received the tables on March 26th. March 30th came along and still no phone call for the couches. We called... and called... and called... until FINALLY somebody answered the phone and told us we were suddenly 10th in line for the couches and we wouldn't have them in our house until AT LEAST mid-April because they wouldn't even be in the warehouse until April 1 and it takes 2-3 WEEKS... NOT 2-3 DAYS to deliver. NEVER were we told that we were 10th in line and that it would take that long for delivery, or else we would have NEVER purchased in the first place. Somebody at the store told us, 'oh your salesman is newer, so he probably doesn't know any better.' THAT DOESN'T HELP. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER. The next day after visiting American Freight and buying a set there, we cancelled our couch/loveseat order (but kept the tables since we already had those) and the woman told us we'd receive a full refund for them + shipping for the couch/loveseat. We received $30 less than we paid for the couches because suddenly they were retail value of $464 total since we no longer purchased a 'package' since we cancelled the couches and still had the tables. THE RETAIL VALUE OF THE TWO COUCHES IS $584!!!! I don't want FULL RETAIL VALUE, I WANT THE $497 THAT WE PAID! Also, we only received $30 for shipping even though we paid $120 total to get the couches and tables shipped...Never did I agree to pay almost $100 in shipping for three tables that I could have picked up myself that only cost $200... Still arguing with them today because they didn't feel like solving the issue over the weekend; rather, we were told, 'just call back Monday.' WILL NEVER AGAIN purchase from Levin.
If I could leave no stars that would be more fitting!! I and my wife purchased a King Mattress about a year and a half ago. At the time of purchase we are made aware of a 10 year sleep warranty and told if there are any problems just call customer service and the issue would be taken care of. So a year and half past and the mattress that we paid 2k for is sinking on both sides with a big hump in the middle. We call and Levin's sends a inspector out. The inspector confirms what we are saying is that it sunk and is weak through no fault of our own. Weeks pass and we hear nothing from Levin's or their corporate store. Finally after about a week of calling and leaving messages at their corporate store someone calls me back saying its not covered because it didn't sink low enough to be an issue. How is it not an issue if my back is hurting and your own inspector said there is a problem? I was told there is a 10 year no hassle sleep warranty, Big joke that was. After speaking with a manager it went no where with no help, they could care less that a repeat customer was having issue let alone that I had to call so many times just to talk with someone. I will never step foot into another Levin's ever again. Don't walk but run from all of their places! You can find much better people to work with and much better company to work with elsewhere with better quality.
The furniture is great and Rachael Haser at the Wexford store is amazing, but they subcontracted my delivery to a company called Jacksonville Express that did $850 of damage to my hardwood steps. In Levin's defense, they did pay for the damages. Just make sure the company delivering your furniture is Levins.
I would not recommend buying furniture here. Placed a special order in January and received the couch this week. Happy with the couch but unfortunately it was delivered incomplete with 3 feet missing from the manufacturer. According to Levin, I now need to wait a minimum of two weeks to receive the missing parts, which does not make sense. Their website states I can buy the same couch new and receive in one week so why would I need to wait 2+ weeks for three small pieces. Their desire/ability to address customer concerns is horrible. It is clear that once they have your money they could care less if you are satisfied or if you received everything you paid for. Unfortunately they lost a customer.
Shanon S. Was AMAZING! She was super helpful and honest with us about everything. We weren't huge Levin fans until today - she certainly changed our mind with that :) we will definitely go back for future purchases!
I have bought so much furnuture from this place, I didn't want to write a review but i can't tolerate this anymore, I have bought the extended warranties also, I have not bought cheap stuff either, But i have had to call for repairs on every bit of their furniture, This recent furniture i have had the repair person come out at least 7 times, It's still clunking, I called again and talked to Kelcy. She didn't even care what i have been through with their junk. I explained to her the repair man was just here 4 days ago, this chair was still clunking when he was still here, The repair man could not have done anymore to these chairs. But Kelcy wouldn't even consider these chairs are junk. well she scheduled the repairman again. LISTEN, SAVE YOURSELF THE MISERY, GO SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE, BECAUSE THE REPAIR DEPT. AT LEVINS COULD TRULY CARE LESS!
Delayed delivery 3 times. Couch was delayed over a month. I cancelled my order after being told for the third time that my couch could not be delivered on time. Salespeople were nice but something is wrong with their delivery system or communication. You can find the same products they have somewhere else with a better guarantee that you won't be sitting on the floor of your living room for a month. There are plenty of other places to buy furniture in Mentor. I hope the salespeople there can find jobs somewhere else.
Good evening, I was in the Greensburg store on11/12/2022 and bought a Living room suit that the was 3,662.25 dollars in which I added to my credit card and the Living room set was received on Wed the 11/23/2022. Once inside and after the truck left, we found a tear in the couch, so we called the retention department and talked to them. They advised we were to get a call back that day, but that never happened, I called the store, and my salesman MIKE was not in, so I talked the Manger Gill, and we talked about changing the color of the order to the color that we originally really wanted. He said that was possible. Gill was going to call me on Friday, but that never happened. I then called the store and had asked to have my salesman call me back. That never happened, so I called again on Friday and spoke to Mike, (my salesman) he was standing right by Gill and they were going to talk this order over and call me back to let me know for sure if Wed 12/21/2022 was going to be ok for delivery. I was told that the store was too busy. Is the right way to treat a repeated costumer who has spent 11K over the past four years not including this purchase? So, this Sunday I think I'm going into the store to get answers?
After our experience at another furniture store around the corner, Levin Furniture was a breath of fresh air. Here's the back story: We were looking for some things and saw several items we were interested in purchasing. I asked the young sales lady if perhaps I could negotiate a lower price on five items. She got nasty and said the manager would never even consider an offer, turned and walked away. Her demeanor was very dismissive and rude. We left and called it a day. The following afternoon, we stopped at Levin and were greeted by Carrie Kirkbride. She showed us some things we were interested in and, on the way out I saw a big ticket item that really caught my eye. It was already deeply marked down but I gave it a try, asking if I could possibly make an offer. Carrie smiled, nodded her head and said she would be happy to talk to the manager and see what she could do. It turned out that he had gone home so I told Carrie I'd be back. The next day, Carrie was not in yet but I was introduced to another manager. After explaining what I wanted to do, she graciously accepted my offer. Everyone I encountered in Levin's store showed a level of professionalism not always seen in retail. Every person I encountered exhibited a 'bend over backwards' attitude towards me, regardless if they were selling me an item showing me where the office was or helping me load my truck. My deepest thanks to Carrie Kirkbride who first showed us around the store, Karey Ann Berger the manager I dealt with and, (darn, I forgot his name) who helped me load the truck. This type of customer service is a glowing reflection on upper management and in stark contrast to that which was offered down the street.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Buyer BEWARE! They deliver broken furniture, make you wait months for help/answers, only to be told there's a 7 day return policy . We CALLED DAY 1! Not anyone's fault but yours for the runaround. Never shop here again.
Waited months for my sectional. When it was finally getting close to the time to be delivered I called them and they send end of May. So here I am at the end of May. They finally delivered but refused to bring into my home. They said they would only put it in the yard or on the porch. They would not bring into the house. I had a great experience with Brandyn in the customer service number she was amazing and the only reason it's not 1 star.
Do NOT shop at Levin- Strongsville . First off let me say this has nothing to do with the sales associates or the kind ladies at customer service. It has to do with management, the service department and even corporate. Long and short we purchased a 'quality' ... pricey couch for our new place. Within 6 weeks it showed wear as if it were over 2 years old. They sent someone out to inspect it who agreed it was defective. He was very nice and we know for a fact he submitted his paperwork within the week. We were too we would hear in about a week. That was almost 3 weeks ago. 5 calls and a trip to the store and SEVERAL ... WE PROMISE... you will hear by dates. All have come and gone each time. This has been absolutely horrible to deal with and quite frankly hey don't give a shit. I had heard bad things about them but we just chalked it up to, sometimes things happen. But apparently they happen frequently with Levin. They have lost us as customers forever and I encourage anyone looking for furniture to save yourself the same aggravation. And sadly, this wasn't the first issue we had with them. It's just the straw the broke the camels back.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I bought over $20k of furniture from Levin across a few different orders since the end of February / beginning of March. Multiple items had their delivery dates pushed back more than once, as we were supposed to have everything by the end of August and we just got our last delivery today. They sold us a bed frame that didn't fit with the adjustable base that they sold us for our Tempur-Pedic mattress we bought from them. Said adjustable base does not work. I have mentioned this concern to a manager and they have not offered to do anything to fix it. When they brought our bed frame out the first time, at 6:30 AM, the delivery guy informed me that the actual frame was broken and that he'd have to take it back. I called a few days later to schedule another delivery and they told me that the frame was ready and it was scheduled for delivery. They called back shortly and told me that wasn't the case. I called back and asked what was going on and if there was anything they could do for my troubles (outlined above). The representative told me she was going to give me a gift card and that I wouldn't 'be disappointed' with the value. She then proceeded to offer me a $250 gift card. Yes, $250 on my ~ $20k order total. I told her that I was, in fact, disappointed and asked her what Levin even sold for less than $250. She said that I could use it for the delivery cost on my 'next order.' I told her that there would not be a next order. When my bed frame was finally ready, they tried to charge me another delivery fee because it was a separate delivery, as if it was my fault that it came broken the first time! Lastly, the delivery crew scratched and scuffed our walls up on multiple occasions. To sum my 7 month experience with Levin up, I would not recommend it to anyone.
I bought a bedroom set and mattress together around $11,000 and we had a very bad experience. We were misled by the sales associate about their price match policy and when we tried to price match it they refused to do it without taking away the financing promotion we did which the sales associate told us we could. Multiple pieces also came damaged and after many attempts to get it fixed we finally settled for subpar quality for what we bought. Very disappointed and will most likely take our business elsewhere next time. When I called to talk about them not price matching the person was very rude and told me there policy was different which I didn't dispute but was just telling them that that's not what their sales representative were telling my fiancé and myself. The furniture it self is decent quality but the customer service experience and misleading sales tactics disappointed us a lot.
I have been a long time Levin's customer, but after our experience with our recent Purple Mattress purchase, I will NEVER go back for ANYTHING. NEVER and I mean EVER purchase a Purple Mattress from Levin. They do not have the proper training or knowledge of Purple and we found out the hard way. We thought we knew what we wanted before we came to try out the mattress (purple 3), however, we ended up with the 2 instead. When we purchased, we were told we HAD to buy their mattress protector (not Purples) to receive the extended warranty, so we did. Little did we know, straight from Purples website and customer service, anything but their protector will create a 'Drum effect' on the grid, and not let you sink into the mattress properly. It took us several nights and research to figure that one out. Even with the protector now gone, the bed was just the worst. So we decided that we would exchange out the mattress, but had the wait the 21 days to do so. Here's where the real fun begins. We were also sold a split box spring with the mattress, saying once again that we HAD to. I asked while we were there if a simple metal bed frame was enough to hold the extra weight of the mattress and that the box springs would be ok with it. 'Oh yes of course.' A few days after having the bed, I sat on the foot of the bed and heard a loud crack. Upon inspection, the right side box spring broke right where the metal frame ends. So once again we started doing a little research on our own and discovered that ALL Purple mattresses should be on a platform base and NOT a box spring. In fact, right from purples website/chat the warranty is voided if it is placed on a box spring. I understand that we didn't buy it from Purple, and that Levin has their own 'warranty', but if the actual Purple Mattress company states that it should not be placed on a box spring, then why is Levin selling it a different way? We tried calling Levin originally to see about getting the box spring replaced since the damn thing broke only a few days after having it. But in true sketchy fashion, we started getting the run around. We called the warranty number and were told to call the store, we called the store and they said to call the warranty number. Both places promised call backs, but have never returned our calls, even after multiple calls to both places. At this point we are so frustrated and angry that we ended up purchasing the platform base direct from Purple to see if that will help. So we now have a broken box spring in our basement that we can do nothing with. So not only did we purchase a $179 mattress protector that cant be used with the mattress, we also purchased a $273 set of box springs that we can't use. We did end up exchanging the Purple 2 Mattress for the 4 and basically still hate it and now we are stuck with a $4,000 mattress, because you can only exchange once. Which we also inquired about, but cannot get anyone to return our calls. Had we purchased the mattress from Purple directly, we would have been able to exchange or return out right if we weren't ultimately happy. My husband and I haven't slept through the night for over 2 months and hate the fact that we even decided to walk into Levin's to try it out. Moral of the story, avoid buying or even inquiring about a Purple Mattress from Levin's.
Thanks to the great customer service from Levin I received my remote yesterday and my bed is working again. Thank you so much for speaking to Grand Legacy to assist in this matter.
We went to Levin to look for living room and dining room furniture. Our salesman was fantastic. He spent hours with us as we picked out and ordered our pieces. We were told the living room pieces would arrive in about 8-10 weeks. Shortly before our 8-10 week wait was up, we took advantage of an opportunity to get rid of our existing furniture. The delivery timeframe promised by our salesman came and went. I called Levin to find out what the situation was with our furniture, only to be told that the furniture would be another 10 weeks. This was not a special order. These pieces were supposedly stock items. No one bothered to let us know that our pieces would be another 10 weeks. Did they really think we forgot about a $4600 order? We would have kept our furniture had we known. They encouraged us to come into the store to see if they could help us find pieces that were available more quickly, but nothing was available. Again, the saleswoman couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. What really made me angry though was hearing another salesman telling another couple that the same type of pieces that we were looking for would be available for delivery in about a week. These people are clearly deceiving customers about delivery dates that they know full well aren't realistic. All we got from Levin were feeble sorrys. We can't sit on sorrys. We'll never buy another thing here. Footnote to this review- we went to numerous furniture stores after our second trip to Levin. When I told the salespeople at other stores about our experience, they all guessed Levin immediately. I never mentioned Levin by name. They all said they've heard the same accounts from other shoppers.
Do not buy from here! This is what 3 months looks like with a dog. A dog that doesnt scratch mind you, but a dog that hops up on the furniture. Really really poor quality and obviously overpriced for what you get
Do NOT purchase a mattress at Levin's. 1. They will not accept returns or exchanges on a too high profile box spring or any box spring. You are stuck with the box spring. 2. If you realize after 1 night of sleeping on the new mattress that it is all wrong for you, you must keep it for 30 days before you can return it. 3. After 30 days of an uncomfortable new mattress, you will NOT receive a refund if the 2nd more comfortable mattress is less than the original returned mattress. Not even a credit is issued or offered! 3. You will pay a restocking fee and delivery fee for the exchanged mattress. Just a complete disaster of a move to buy bedding at Levin's!
Spent my Labor Day morning searching for a new mattress. I went to a Sears before coming to Levin and it was really disappointing. Over priced and limited models to look at. Coming to Levin was quick and easy. Was in and out in 10 minutes. Spoken to a sale woman named Edwina and told her my budget. She showed us one cheaper, one about my price and over a little more expensive. Lots of options which made my decision easy. I get with the one right on my budget. They didn't have mattress in store that day so I bought delivery. I wasn't planning on that but I was just easier to do so. Can't wait for my mattress to come in later this week.
Extremely frustrated that I can't contact anyone after they took my $3,000 in January, that we paid in full before leaving the store, with an expected delivery date up to 6 weeks. We never received our bunk bed, or an email, or phone call... This can not be an issue with the stay at home order. We should have received our merchandise well before covid was here. I understand things are closed down now, but emails and phones still work! I want my merchandise or my money back or speak with ANYONE who can tell me what's going on!! Sincerely, Very frustrated customer!!!
Let me start off by saying that the furniture was good. However, customer service is terrible. I'm actually embarrassed for this company in the way that they handled my most recent delivery. When the furniture was delivered, it was missing legs for one end of our new sectional. They connected it anyway which caused it to immediately break. We had to contact the store to tell them that the legs were missing. This resulted in more than a month of the store avoiding our calls. Finally, my husband called them and found out the legs had been in for at least a couple of weeks. The service representative was not at all apologetic and actually blamed my husband for taking the furniture. I could have moved past this if they showed any signs of remorse for how badly this was handled, however, when they doubled down and blamed us I decided I was done with them. I also want to share my experience so that others do not have to endure a frustrating experience. We did not spend thousands of dollars to be treated like a nuisance.
I am highly displeased with this company and they deserve a -0 star for not being truthful and upfront about their 'fabric material' extended 5 year warranties and want your money upfront but they 'decide' what is considered 'one single accident' when BOTH sets the material is unraveling and the stuffing comes OUT .... I'm so BEYOND upset with them, I have had this set for LESS than 3 years and they refuse to fix the loveseat or recliner because I'm outside of the manufacture warranty but yet you took MY money. Yet you wonder why you went bankrupt and you DONT stand behind your furniture which is junk! I will NEVER EVER walk foot in your store ever again and feel so sorry for the next person who buys from you! DON'T BUY from these people save yourself and your money and go down the street! Whatever happen to customer comes first NOT the money! Maybe if you didn't put the crap together so fast maybe it would actually last!!!!
Amazing selection and prices. Our sales guy Dave Updyke was very knowledgeable, effective, and efficient. Great all around experience.
Amazing store. We drive past 2 Levin's closer to go to this location. We bought a sectional from Dee a few months ago at the regular store. Dee was fantastic and went out of her way to make the experience great. Thank you, Dee! You can tell she loves her job. We visit the outlet location a few times a year and never leave empty handed. Great sales. Steven always helps us when we visit and he is courteous and never over the top or pushy. Super helpful and friendly. Thank you, Levins! We will shop here for years to come!
Disappointed went in looking to purchase sofa, sofa bed and occasional chair. Walked the entire store was not approached by a salesperson. Guess my business isn't needed will go elsewhere.
Wouldn't buy our furniture anywhere else ! Love the staff always friendly and accommodating!
First off, it's a nice big place with lots too look at. But this was worse than going to a car dealership, the same person come up to me at least 6 times when as soon as I walked in I said I am just looking. Goddam it can I just walk around and window shop with being harassed by some salesmen trying to get commission? Their store had a lot to offer but most of it was old school looking furniture, stuff I would see at my moms house. The prices weren't the highest I've seen but not bargain prices either. Overall just meh
The only reason this review gets one star is because I like the couch that I purchased from Levin. However, the delivery experience and subsequent customer service was sub-par, to say the least. When I originally ordered my couch, I told the salesman that I lived on the fourth floor of an apartment building, and that the couch might not fit in the elevator. The salesman told me that 'it wouldn't be a problem.' On the day of my delivery, the two deliverymen brought the couch in my building, and as expected, the couch didn't fit in the elevator. Before even trying to carry the couch up the stairs, one of the deliverymen refused to deliver my couch to my apartment. He said that they were allowed to refuse delivery if the location was higher than three stories. It took me citing my prior discussion with the salesman to convince the deliverymen to finally deliver my couch to my apartment. This occurred on March 3rd. Since then, I have tried contacting Levin's customer service to file a complaint about the delivery experience. I have called multiple times (including a voicemail that was not returned), and the times that I have spoken to a representative, I've just been told that I will be contacted either 'soon' or 'within 2-3 days' by a delivery supervisor. Needless to say, I have not yet been contacted by anyone from Levin in the weeks since the delivery. I'm disappointed that the deliverymen showed such a lazy and apathetic attitude when delivering my couch, especially since I elected to pay for delivery, and am equally disappointed by the apathetic attitude shown to me by Levin's customer service.
Visited this Levin store in Mt. Pleasant for the 1st time, and was happy with the experience; so much so that we bought sofa and loveseat that day. Dee was our salesperson and was very knowledgeable about the inventory as well as friendly and professional. Because of the high price of delivery ($175) for a 20 mile trip we decided to pick up the furniture at the warehouse at Smithton, which was presented as an option. We asked if there was any difference between delivery and pickup besides actually handling the furniture, and they said no. We were called when the furniture came in and we brought it home. Much to our surprise, there was a box that contained all the feet to both pieces. The directions said there were 'holes provided' to screw the feet on. Unfortunately, the bottom of the frame is stapled with a thin cover, then underneath that is the upholstery fabric which was also stapled. We unstapled one corner to find the 'holes provided' but there were no 'holes provided' on that corner. We were not comfortable taking apart the fabric to get to the 'holes provided' and certainly did not expect to have to assemble the furniture. We were not told any of this. Nevertheless, we then unstapled another corner and found no holes there either. At that point we were worried that if we kept unassembling the warranty might not be honored if there were any issues with the furniture. Plus, there were no holes to screw the feet in, so now we had to do that as well. I called the store and spoke to the manager Susan or Suzanne, not sure of the name. I explained in detail our predicament, and she curtly replied that if we had paid the $175 the driver would have assembled the furniture for us. No one told us anything would have to be assembled, at the store they said nothing about it. So she said for $29.95 she would send someone out. I explained that we were not advised that the furniture would not have the feet attached; that the material has to be unstapled in order for us to drill the holes - there were no 'holes provided' that we found; then the material would have to be restapled, and we don't even own a staple gun that would accomodate stapling a liner and upholstery to the furniture. She then repeated that for $29.95 she would send someone. She expressed no real concern; she talked very fast, and was rather condescending. A little respect would have been helpful, but there was none. I then asked for her manager's phone number, which she said she didn't have, but then decided that she did have it. I called, got his voicemail, asked that he call me asap as I had an issue with my new furniture. So it is now 3 weeks later, and no call from Ken the regional manager. So Levin's has a snotty mouthed store manager to handle issues, and when she fails, her manager doesn't respond to the complaint. It's no wonder Levin's went bankrupt once. It's really too bad that they choose to do business in this manner; I am also looking for more furniture, but it definitely won't be at Levin's. I hope that Mr. Levin reads the reviews, as I am sure he may not want his business run this way.
So we visited the Mount Pleasant Levin and worked with an amazing salesman Donald Fleming. He was helpful, not pushy, gave us space if we wanted to discuss buying further pieces and didn't breath down our necks. He came in on his day off to work with us and he corresponded with us for a month since we were closing on our house. He did all he could do to save us money and went through our entire bill - step by step. This Levin is 3 stories and jammed packed full of so many options but the salesman make this place. It may be out in the country but we drove 1 hour just to work with Donald. It is rare that you find someone who cares about their customers as much as he does and when we want to get more furniture, we will absolutely go to Levin again. All of their salesman seem to have the same approach, so you should be in good hands with anyone you work with.
Great experience, we worked with very knowledgeable sales person named Dee who helped us get exactly what we wanted. Ordered a custom flexsteel sofa and ottoman. Can't wait for it to be delivered!
Excellent experience! We drove down here from DC looking for an oversized sectional because my husband and I are very tall and they sell a brand that specializes in large furniture. We worked with Ashley and she was incredible -- patient, friendly, and really went above and beyond to show her appreciation for how far we drove and to get us the best price possible for a really nice piece. She was seriously awesome. I would recommend this company to anyone and feel like it was well worth the long drive. I'm so excited for our new sectional and pleased with the service we got here.
Stay away!! Once they have your money, you’re on your own! After spending $19000 on furniture to fill my new house 18 months ago, Levin was completely unwilling to assist with a $3500 Bernhardt dining room table that the finish is lifting off of the substrate. I understand policy and procedure, but after being in business for 42 years, I also understand the value of going above and beyond to keep a valuable customer satisfied. We will NEVER spend another dime there, and suggest you don’t either. If I could give zero stars, I would. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Tim Kilkeary
