Our first visit to Hudson's was a really good experience. Huge selection of modern and traditional furniture and decor. Something for everyone with reasonable prices on quality furniture and less expensive options as well. Carrie was a fantastic design consultant who was extremely helpful and not one bit pushy. Selecting furniture is a difficult decision and commitment to make, so having someone that 'lets' you make the decision rather than 'makes' the decision for you meant a lot to us.
We had a great experience working with Eric. Very knowledgeable and helpful. We found the perfect couch after shopping online for months.
Went into the brandon location today to look at mattresses. I have previously shopped here and spent a lot of money here and enjoyed shopping here but i will never ever set foot in another Hudson's furniture again thanks to the sales manager, Derrick Gatz. i spent 20 minutes trying the mattresses and expressed several times that i was not ready to purchase but was window shopping at this time (planning so i can make a decision to make a purchase at a later time). This person approached me and very rudely expressed that if I wasn't ready to buy that i could leave the store. I have never been treated so rudely by an associate before in my life. The audacity of this man has me floored, i spent over 10k in this store less then 2 years ago and now i regret giving them my business. I am not sure if he was profiling me or what, but he lost my business for life.
This furniture store employs a slew of people that practice the 'dirty salesperson' method. While selling you and making the sale, they talk as if they truly care but instantly after they are paid, they become completely indifferent to any concerns. Rita, the so called manager, speaks over you, fabricates details regarding ordering and delivery, and could care less. Nano, the salesperson, probably one of the 'dirtiest' sales people I've ever had to deal with. We are now stuck with dealing with people with no morals. This store took our money, and now will not return calls, or deal with the very serious issue of delivering, poorly made, damaged furniture. Of course it's impossible to find any information regarding a corporate or regional office. What a shame! Do not support this business!!!!
Quality furniture, great selection, fantastic sales rep / employees... Happy customer...
Thought we'd get some quality here but I was wrong. Spent a lot of money for poor quality furniture that we had to wait along time to receive. There is absolutely no quality check before it's delivered. Don't waste your money.
Never ordering here again! It is going on three weeks since I ordered my mattress set. I been getting a complete run around and nobody answers my questions. I call customer support and they say 'any day now' I've been sleeping on my couch. They cant find the first shipment of mattresses so i have to wait even longer for a second shipment to arrive. This is extremely frustrating. They haven't yet apologized or given me any accommodations with all this time I've waited. I paid my furniture in full!! Don't bother shopping here there are several store in brandon to buy furniture from!!
My husband and I have made a number of large purchases at Hudson's Furniture. However, NEVER AGAIN!! The leather on what we thought was our beautiful, well-made easy chair is peeling off and now looks horrible. Interestingly, this is happening on areas of the chair that are not used (eg, under the arms of the chair, on the back), so this is not an 'overuse' or stress issue. The chair is less than 5 years old. The same thing is happening to two smaller leather chairs that we purchased from Hudson's. But what angers me is that the company has refused to respond to my inquiries/-initially phone calls, then text message, then letters, and, finally, certified letters. Not a peep!! They just DO NOT CARE!! Do not ever buy anything from this company!!
if I could give zero stars I would... ordered 2 additional dining chairs to go along with the previous purchased dinning set from Hudson, we also purchased the 5-year protection, the total order for just 2 chairs was over $1500, ridiculous :/ one of the chairs developed a crack back in May, after 3-4 months of getting the runaround and constant follow-up phone calls to the protection company, they finally authorized replacement in August and received an email from Hudson, replacement should be in October/November not certain, just called to follow up it will now be End of December to Mid-January, they explained it is a custom chair coming from Canada? what a joke, for the money we spent it is not worth the frustration, aggravation, and wasted time going on 7 months plus, with no sense of urgency or communication for that matter, I would go elsewhere in the future, the 5-year protection plan should be renamed to the 5-year wait for a replacement plan because that's how long it seems it going to take... some say if you do right by someone, they may tell a few people but, if you do wrong by someone, they will tell everyone, so here I am, hope this warning helps someone. Regards
Always great- repeat client! Orders are taking longer than expected but that's the world we live in. Store manager is great, we love Matt!
I just purchased a new King size bedroom set and once again was helped by MikeDan.. as always he is helpful professional kind and knowledgeable. I have purchased many pieces of furniture from a HUDSONS over the past 3 years . I highly recommend them .
Excellent Customer Service! I was approached by Sally shortly after I walked into the store. She was very attentive and informative. All of the furniture was priced a la carte and did not have any groups/sets prices. They had a generous clearance section upstairs. We rode the escalator up and had to take the elevator down because the down escalator is out of service. I did not feel pressured and was invited to come back when I make a decision.
I am happy to report that within a few days of posting my review a Hudson Furniture rep, Jeff contacted me. He listened to my problem, asked me to email him pictures and said he would try to help me. Three days later the warranty company called and said they were issuing me a credit for a new chair. Hudson also called to tell me they received the credit. We went in and picked out a new recliner. Thank you to Jeff!
We purchased two Southern Motion recliners Sunday. Our Salesperson Dennis was a real pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable about the products. My wife and I were very comfortable with Dennis. He listened well for our wants and needs and helped us find the correct model to fill them. Will definitely come back for future purchases.
Shopping for furniture for our home we walked into Hudson's Furniture and were greeted by Lourdes. She asked us what we are looking for and said she would be close by if we had questions. There are lots of pieces to choose from however the style selection is a bit stale. More traditional pieces then modern. There are however lots of fabric and finish choices to choose from in the store. Hudson's also provides in home design assistance but be ready to spend $5-7K for the service. Overall friendly and good color/finish opinions to choose from here. Tip: Looking at their website there is no pricing you need to call and inquire.
I love Hudson's! I have older family members who live in Clearwater and when I go to visit I always go there and help them get furniture there. The quality of the furniture is good and long lasting, lots of options and the show room floor is stunning!!! I When I go there I always make sure that Eric is there! I always tell him what I am looking for to update rooms and what budget I am working with and he is always so helpful and understands the budget I am working with! The furniture is good quality and overall the store is awesome and adorable! I recommend getting all of your furniture here and ask for Eric because he is the best!
I live in Sarasota and not California. Fraudulent sellers. Purchases a Simmons Beauty Rest mattress 2.5 years ago. The mattress came with a 10 year non-prorata warranty. Mattress is now lumpy and uncomfortable to on sleep. They sent out an inspector about a month ago. I called several times and have not received a response. When i visited the store on south 41where I purchased the mattress,. I was informed that they no longer make that model of mattress. The new mattress is more expensive and I would have to pay more IF they replace the mattress under warranty. I have purchased furniture from Hudsons in the past, including Tommy Bahama bedroom suite, sofa, recliners and furniture for the guest room. I will no longer do business with them and caution everyone that Hudsons does not stand behind the furniture they sell and their warranties are worthless.
We ordered all new furniture for our new home in Orlando from Hudson furniture back in November. Some rooms came in on time but we're still waiting on our sofa, dining room chairs and outdoor furniture. The delivery dates keep getting pushed out further and further. The most frustrating part is that your delivery date may change with little notice...so you may think it's arriving on a specific date from email updates but then the date suddenly changes to a later date months out. If you order anything custom be aware it could take 6,9 or even 12 months to receive it. No refunds on custom orders so your stuck. We we're not told (during pandemic times) that custom orders would be so delayed.
After Hudsons replaced the broken section, evidently they did not let their Furniture protection people know the parts were no longer required. 2 days ago I received an email from UPS saying they were delivering something from Hudson's. I called Hudsons customer service and was advised that was an error that nothing would be delivered. Today I received a Box from Hudsons. I called customer service again. They have no clue what is going on, tried to blame their Furniture protection people. Such a waste of time and energy and money if they had just done the right thing at the right time none of this would've happened.
1. If you buy something and they say it's in stock,DON'T think that means it will be delivered soon. The product comes from Orlando (Sanford) and delivered whenever they can schedule your delivery. 2. Pay attention to your bill. My delivery charge was just shy of $200 and I live 1/2 block away from the store I purchased from. 3. Know that if something as simple as a power cord is missing for a recliner, they do not have it available for you. It has to be ordered and 'should' arrive in 7 business days from,in my case, Chicago. I purchased 2 leather power recliners that 'were in stock' and but took 2 weeks to be delivered. One missing the power cord, which would have to be shipped to me in a few days. It's been 2 days now,and I get a call today confirming the order was placed and I should get it in 7 business days. I decided to confront the store manager about how this company does business! I even suggested they could of offered me the power cord from the chair in the showroom, but can't do that,it's against company policy. What a joke! Oh,another thing, they offer free shipping, but not free delivery. But I'll bet if you have a product shipped to you and something's wrong with it,they won't do anything about it! I will never suggest buying anything from Hudson's to anyone!!
We are new to the area and have a California King mattress that we were trying to find a bedroom set for. I went to a few furniture stores only to learn that they didn't carry them. I decided instead of just going to a bunch more stores I would call around. I called Hudson's and was put in contact with Rocco. Rocco worked with me to find us exactly what we wanted and we are so excited to receive our new bedroom set from Hudson's soon. Rocco was great to work. He is patient, knowledgeable and in no way pushy. If you are in the market for new furniture go see Rocco at Hudson's. They have great quality furniture coupled with excellent customer service.
I had a really great experience with Courtney, our design consultant, and Kate, our designer. From having them come out to our home and measure to ensure we got the best configuration of furniture in our space. After that, we went into the store and had a great time picking out our custom colors for our furniture. Kate and Courtney were so patient and had so many great suggestions. The options were limitless and the fabrics to choose from were beautiful! Our custom couch arrived about 5 weeks later (a little early!) and the delivery team did a white-glove service that was efficient- they were even early! The delivery men showed my husband and I how to use some of our furniture (sectional so can be hooked together or separate in areas) and were very gracious. Best of all, our couch come out beautifully and is sooo comfortable! Thank you Hudson's, Courtney and Kate!
The gentleman walking around on 8/14/21 red shirt, has the most rude personality I've ever been in interaction with. He was incredibly rude when asked if it was the only store in the mall, and said 'if you don't want furniture or mattresses I don't have anything for you have a good one' and walked off.
Two and 1/2 years ago we spent $3000 on a 'leather' sofa and love seat. We specifically asked if they were all leather. We did not want anything with 'bonded' leather which is an inferior produce. The salesman and sales manager assured us it swas all real leather, not bonded. We spent another $250 for 'insurance.' We notice recently that the 'leather' is peeling from the headrest. When my husband called the store, we were told that we should contact the insurance representative who told him that the peeling is a manufacturer's defect and that is only covered for a year. When my husband spoke to the store customer service department and told them that the furniture was sold as real leather, not bonded, he was told that was the reason the salesman was no longer employed there. After this review was posted, I was contacted by the Customer Service department. They assured me that the leather was not bonded and was 'top grade.' They are ordering a new back to replace the piece that is discolored and it is supposed to be shipped directly to me. I appreciate that I was treated with respect and they are making the effort to make it right. The new seat back arrived and I was surprised it matched so well. It was a little tricky to remove the old one, but once we did the new piece was easy to install. We appreciate the efforts of the customer service department to make this right.
Jordan was great during the sales process showing me multiple bedroom sets and helping ensure I got exactly what I wanted. However, that turned out to be the highlight of my experience. The furniture was special order and arrived in less time than quoted. But, the team that showed up to install the furniture (5/31) took ~2 hours to put together a king bed, dresser, and night stand. Then, during my second night, the mattress fell through the supports. Upon investigation, the bed was never assembled correctly and the 'extra' pieces the install team left with, while telling me they weren't needed, were definitely required. On 6/2, I was directed by store personnel to contact customer service. After sending pictures and multiple emails and phone calls letting them know what was needed to repair the bed, parts finally arrived on 6/18 with a team arriving on 6/19 to make the repairs. So, after ~3 weeks of sleeping on the floor, I finally have a bed. The timeline in rectifying the situation was unacceptable. Also, I was told multiple times store personnel would be following up during this process and the only person that contacted me was a representative from customer service to schedule deliveries. I had high hopes for Hudsons based on the store personnel I dealt with during the sale, but doubtful I will return.
Worst customer service experience ever. I was treated like I didn't belong there. After having to hunt down someone to help me they proceeded to look at me and say if your not buying furniture we don't have anything for you as if my money isn't as green. Definitely will never be back. Just because I'm a young guy I get treated like trash not cool. Maybe show all guest the same respect you would want to receive!!!
While Hudson's has a great selection of furniture, their sales staff is not impressive at all. We recently visited looking for a new couch and love seat set. While discussing options with one associate, another injected herself into the conversation and began to argue with the first associate. The interaction was embarrassing and inappropriate. In addition, we were told that we would be notified of the pending sale pricing. No call or email was received. We returned to e sore the following week to get an updated price only to be told the price had increased. Fortunately, we found furniture at another store for a much better price even though it was the same manufacturer. Needless to say, we do no recommend Hudson furniture in Brandon based on this experience.
Worst customer service! Dresser delivered was damaged (always inspect carefully while delivery people are still on site). Had to send 'repair' person which took another 2-3 weeks. Determined without more than a glance it was not fixable and they'd order us another one. This is not our full time residence which we stressed over and over to them and that we would need advance notice to be able to get there. Long story short, after waiting over 2 months it finally arrives and they want to deliver at 8am! They did nothing to accommodate our time, it was then or get it some other day,who knows when. Very poor customer service.
Spoke with the woman at the store over the phone at 7:40. I told her I'd be there at 7:50 to quickly pick out a soda. I arrived at 7:50 and the door was locked and she turned the lights off even when she saw me standing at the door.
Had a great experience at this store. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Ordered the perfect sectional. Would highly recommend Hudson's.
What a terrible experience. One that appears to have no ending! We were originally told 4 to 6 weeks for delivery of our furniture (three rooms in total), but 'most likely closer to three weeks'. The bedroom was 'in stock' and delivered, but once delivered, they realized the hardware for the bed wasn't included and it would take another two weeks to order! For the balance of our furniture, we are now on week 11 with every delivery date they give us getting extended over and over again. We have NO idea how much longer it will take, nor do we trust any future delivery date they provide. The salesperson/company never takes any responsibility, yet continually blames everyone else for their failures. Just be honest, rather than leading us on for so long! Needless to say, we will NEVER shop at Hudson's Furniture again!
I've been a customer of Hudson's Furniture for several years. My last few purchases have been through Jordan Perry. His product knowledge, communication skills and customer service are exceptional. Highly recommend!
Happy with my experience here, and most liked that we started with one sales person, and another finished with another. Very impressed with the team work. I can't judge the quality of my furniture, as that will be a test over time. I guess I never posted the above review ...so now I have to take what I would have given a 4 Star Review and put it down to a 1...if I could give them 0 I would...I bought a couch last winter from the showroom, as it was quite similar to a slip cover couch that I had at home...it was discussed and before I purchased it I called my furniture store at home because the plan was to be able to switch out the slip covers with the couch that I had at home. This was discussed with the salespeople two who I worked with (really nice ladies) We are snowbirds, but we also had another rental place before we purchased our new place, so we were there most of the time so the couch got very little use the first few months. Than we went back come for the summer. When we came back in the fall, I decided to wash the slip covers..as I do at home, there were no instructions on them, never thinking twice I tossed them in the washing machine....they came out destroyed. We had purchased the warranty, which they said covers everything...which I normally don't purchase, but since I have grandkids this time I did purchase it. When I called the store..I was honest about what happened...The store has not stood behind the couch...which is torn underneath, the cushions are so poorly made they have lost all of the firmness, feathers fly out of it...none of the seems had been trimmed...frankly I have never seen such poorly manufactured furniture...this is a couch not even used 3 months. I am most disappointed by the customer service..the warranty was not honored, we have tried to purchase new slip covers and for the past 4 months they have been checking with the manufacturer...which they never seem to hear back from....what a horrible experience...this is a $1,000 couch that is going to have to be tossed in the garbage. So now you can see why they would get a 0 from us.....:(
We had Another Great Experience shopping at Hudson's! Our design consultant, Lourdes Vinas, not only came to our home to assist us in color choices, she even assisted us by offering suggestions on the placement of our items, Old & New, after I sent a photo and asked for her Help. Great Service!!! We Highly Recommend Lourdes and Hudson's for your furniture needs. Karen & David
Purchased a sofa and chair at the Pinellas park location. I was told that since I picked a different color that it would take 2-4 weeks for the items. Needless to say, took much, much longer than that. When items did arrive I was contacted and asked when I wanted the delivery. It just so happen I was off work that week so I told the person, either today or tomorrow. She told me that it would be several days for delivery. I basically didn't have any options as to the delivery date. I feel the store was lacking customer service and transparency. I will NOT be doing any business there anytime soon.
Bought a couch and they are not letting me return the couch. They said someone can come fix in but I don't want to deal with months of back and forth where they try to fix or exchange part of it. When I was taking to the general manager at the Sarasota location he said he did not want to help me because he was getting push back. Eventually he just said no cannot return it. In the pamphlet they gave it said I can return with a 30% restock fee they keep. He kept saying that's not how it works.
I had a challenge for whoever was going to help my 91 year old uncle. We visited a number of furniture stores, and Hudson's provided the best combination of product and service (and it wasn't even close). My uncle lived in a double wide that was overcome with mold. Six months later, with the old joint demo'd, a new home sits in on his home pad. He was able to save a few things, but needed a bedroom set and pieces for the living room. My uncle does not make decisions quickly, so a lot of patience was called for. Enter Penny. As we walked the showroom, she gave us the space for my uncle to look and try things without feeling pressured. As he identified pieces that were of interest, Penny was able to step in and help without bringing any pressure (it would have killed the deal). He found a bedroom set that he liked, and several other pieces, although he felt that the price was exorbitant. The next day we visited several other stores, and he wanted to make a beeline back to Penny and Hudson's. Following the sale, she did a great job of staying in touch via text (my preference) and made herself available to be on hand for the delivery. Great service, and more important, she had a wonderful knack of making him comfortable during an uncomfortable shopping trip.
It is simply terrible that we still have no furniture and ordered and paid in full in cash on July 12, 2015. We repeatedly call the store (Pinellas) and have gotten told different stories. Even called the manufacturer who stated that they had not received the order yet. Please, PLEASE, is there ANYONE at HUDSON's FURNITURE COMPANY who can help? IF you cannot get us the items we ordered, please refund our $$ so that we can shop elsewhere. We will most likely NEVER purchase from that store location (PINELLAS) again, as we are simply being given the same vague answers. It has become a joke among our friends. Sadly, this is no joke to us. We call this stealing at this point. You have $2700 of our money and we have nothing. We paid in JULY. It is now the middle of September. NO furniture No answers. SOMEONE DO SOMETHING. People we have spoken to in the last 8 weeks: Jaqueline Skip Johnathan Keith we have no idea what to do anymore. NO ONE WILL HELP US. PLEASE READ REVIEWS PEOPLE. EVERY LOCATION HAS THE SAME ISSUE WE ARE HAVING. THEY ARE BASICALLY STEALING MONEY. WE HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. ****UPDATE**** On November 7th, 2015, about 4 weeks after the furniture was finally delivered, and assembly could not be completed as driver did not have the piece needed (this is a sectional, so it had to wait over a week for assembly after all of the waiting for the actual delivery), I now receive this message from Hudson Furniture Regional Manager: Subject: furniture experience 'My name is Lisa King and I am the Regional Manager for Hudson's Furniture. I apologize you have had such a bad experience and would like to speak with you and see how I can help. Lisa King 813-944-8064' I will reply via email to Lisa as this is just too little too late, considering that I myself called the corporation of Hudson's Furniture long ago for assistance. The good news is that Broyhill Furniture is very responsive. They shipped me the missing part promptly and then I had to contact (again) the store to arrange for the part to be installed. All in all, a very poor example by Hudson's Furniture of the way to handle customer service. Funny thing is, I was a 'happy customer' originally. Hopefully this is not indicative of all furniture stores in the Pinellas area.
seniors beware of hudson furniture fraudulent business practices. bought 'new' $2,000 recliner delivered 'pre-owned' no power cord, assembly or owners manual, warranty void since used. responded 'all sales final' in email. no return phone calls. factor hiring lawyer into price!
We recently purchased furniture from the Hudson's Furniture store in Ocoee. It has been a great experience from beginning to end. We decided to try out the free in home design consultation. We couldn't be more pleased. Gary our salesperson, and Brad our design consultant worked together to help us choose quality pieces of furniture that were within our budget. We appreciated Gary and Brad's patience throughout the process. We look forward to making purchases at this location in the future.
The rating I put above isn't based on Evelyn (my sales person). She is wonderful to work with and I appreciate her enthusiasm and willingness to help me get things corrected. I also enjoyed working the Brad (designer) to help find the best furniture for my living room. Hudson's has nice quality furniture, great sales and service staff, and I like being able to shop using their financial service. I'm giving the store 4 stars because of the following: please be aware that they do not have a written return policy. Additionally, it took me by surprise when some of my furniture is taking longer than expected to arrive. Was told 6/28 (which is already a 2 month wait from when I ordered) and now its scheduled for 8/16 delivery. It's a little frustrating to wait this long for furniture.
Sofa and loveseat were to be in stock early May. Salesperson basically lied about the availability of the product. Manager will not respond to calls. Told the furniture is ' on a boat.' So dissapointing.
I had an unpleasant experience with Hudson's Pinellas Park. My sales clerk was Alyse and she absolutely has no follow through and poor customer service. I spent several thousand dollars with Alyse in June and was told my purchases would be available in 4-6 weeks. Well here we are in September and there are 2 items which are fully paid for and I have not yet received. I'm being informed the 2 items were special order. I was not informed of this at the time of purchase and would not have purchased either item. Hudson't has been paid in full for months and I'm being told I can not cancel the 2 items that I still don't have, however they have all my money. No thanks I won't be shopping with them again. Very disappointed. Not to mention I received a sofa with a mark on the side panel and still waiting for repairs! Lynda W
I bought a desk fromJonathan Waisnor on line...it couldn't have been easier. He was so helpful; I would purchase from him again...and the desk was awesome
We were looking for a new sofa and decided to stop in to see what they had. They definitely have a more upscaled inventory than other furniture stores that we had visited. We were quickly greeted by their sales person (Craig). We came prepared with exactly what we wanted. Craig was quick to find it within their inventory and he gave us a quote. It came with free delivery. I didn't feel high pressure at all. We walked around and we were impressed with the quality of the furniture. I wish that we had started looking for our sofa here first and saved us a lot of leg work. I recommend that you stop by to see what they have.
Very difficult to get your money back. Don't let them take over 60 days to get your goods delivered because after 60 days, one cannot dispute the transaction with one's credit card company. Delay, delay, delay is their end game. I bought some furniture , paid in full for it, later found out it was discontinued, and now they tell me it will take 2-3 months to get my money back. I think not. They had awesome Google reviews-- but wish I had checked with the Better Business Bureau. They had a B- which is basically giving them an F ! Cause the BBB gives almost everyone an A ... So is a B- is a big deal. My advice-- don't wait too long to dispute the transaction with your credit card company because you only have 60 days to dispute.
I ordered and placed a deposit for a table in July, that said I'd have it by September. It's December and I'm still waiting!!!
I previously issued a rating of 3 because I loved the sales rep but was steamed about the delivery promises followed by long delays. Looking back, I feel that was u fair as everything was delayed due to Covid. It was just a difficult time in my life and this added to the stress, but not really their fault. I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with the furniture. It is built well, feels and looks great. My guess is that the experience would have been fantastic under different circumstances (prior to Covid).
Thank you Hudsons for delivering my coffee table when I was supposed to pick it up in store! So nice of you and much appreciated Randy Schwartz
I purchased close to $20K of home furnishing, really bad experience. I will not buy another item from this company. Poor or bad experience from the Designers and mostly from Customer Service. Caveat Emptor
I had 5he pleasure of dealing with Victoria, while looking for a Chandler. I have been to many stores and have had no luck finding just what I am looking for. Victoria went out of her way to understand my needs and showed me a few choices that were exactly what I described.now I just have to narrow my choices down to one. I love that this is not a typical furniture store, where what is on the floor is what they have. They get a feel for the room you are decorating and help you chose custom pieces that will fit into the space, and your style. She never made me feel stupid for what I was looking for.
AVOID HUDSONS AT ALL COSTS. Their customer service is terrible and their regional manager Lisa King has been absolutely no help to us. RUN the other way. I NEVER leave reviews anywhere but I have never felt so helpless in my life. We waited 5 months for a leather couch that was delivered damaged with scratches, discolored leather, and uneven cushions. We just want our money back and to be done with this nightmare. Please save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. UPDATE: 4/28/21 You are correct, Lisa, the store will allow me to 'return' the special order couch by charging a 30% restocking fee on a $3,500 damaged couch. Not sure how it is fair for a customer to have to pay over $1,000 for a store's mistake, and still not have a couch to sit on. After literally crying and pleading with customer care we were told they could drop it to 20%. That is still $700 out of our pocket for something that is not our mistake. The store also offered to repair the damage but I don't know many people who would want to pay for a new couch to only have it need repairs upon delivery. I don't understand why after ordering 3 different couches every single piece had issues. We are beyond frustrated with Hudson's and we don't want to continue our relationship with further repairs. You stated that customer care attempted to help resolve our issues but I had to constantly stay on top of them and made most of the follow-up calls because I rarely received a returned phone call when I was told I would. If Hudson's took their customer care as seriously as you claim, I would not be writing this review. We have tried for 18 months to find one couch that is consistent in quality and/or delivered without damage to no avail. The last thing I want to do with my time is write negative reviews but I feel I have no other choice.
Hudson's has shifted the delivery date every month since it was due. Shipment was originally due in November, but we receive an email every month that it will be delayed again. This is dishonest and misleading. Will never do business with this organization again and you shouldn't either unless you're willing to be misled and required to wait several extra months for your order. This has been worse than buying a used car. 4 months late and counting. I don't even remember what I ordered, its been so long.
Kevin was awesome but a bit forgetful. Disabled man did not have his bed as promised. He slept In a chair for 4 days. The manager Chet totally disrespected my son SSGT Liddane when he went to get a promised item. And then apologized over and over again. Mean spirited never again would I shop there. I sure do have more. They lied and they disrespected us. My husband passed after one week on the couch.
I had run around to about 10 furniture stores collecting information for my Mom to buy a sofa and Mitch at Hudson's Furniture was, by far, the most helpful. Even though he know I wasn't buying right away, he helped me with dimensions and showed me options that he knew Mom would like. When I mentioned the day I was coming in, he took time to contact me and be there to help. I got there before him and one of his associates offered to help as she said they work as a team and look out for one another (loved that!) Thank you Hudson and Mitch for making this a (relatively) enjoyable experience!
We purchased 2 Softline couches from Hudson's Furniture clearance center and paid for them in full. I had to make arrangements with our original sales associate since the sale was contingent on them agreeing to store our furniture until we moved in due to delay on our new construction home and the move in date being pushed back. Our sales associate agreed to it, scribbled out the part of required pick up dates and times in the contact. He even scribbled out a portion on the contract that spoke about potential storage fees to make us feel comfortable about purchasing. We agreed to the terms and signed the agreement. We received a couple calls from Hudson's regarding the furniture and for updates on the pickup date. Every time, we spoke to a store associate, they told us that they put notes on the account with the updated pick up date and that it was no problem. When our conversations were complete, I always asked for them to review the notes on the account to make sure we were on the same page and they reassured me we were. I even asked them every time they called, if they see the notes from past conversations and the response was always 'yes'. When we went to pick up our furniture on the agreed date, it was to our surprise that just a couple weeks prior, the furniture was put back on the floor and SOLD. I immediately spoke to the local store manager, David Sheppard, and he told me they had been trying to reach me to tell me that they were going to put the couches on the floor. Of course, I responded with the fact that I had spoken to several people, Paige and Kevin to name a few, and they all told me everything was fine and they have notes on the account. His response was that he was the Manager and it is ultimately his decision and he did not agree to any of that. Although they were quick to sell our couches, we still have not received a refund. I am so disappointed in the customer service especially as we have been such loyal customers through our move and have been there to shop every weekend. Until this point, we have spoken so highly about the brand and referred many family and friends. SO SAD!
Our design and sales executive, Jeanne Bessler, was absolutely fantastic during the process of buying our living room furniture and rug. Not only did she have patience while my husband and I moved cushions, thumbed through books and walls of fabric samples, and even had the underside of the floor displays shown to us, but she was extremely knowledgeable about the various pieces. We also did our research online and returned to the store to buy Flex Steel living room pieces (which averages 5 star reviews - and we agree!). Jeanne also kept us up to date about our delivery process - until the contracted date passed. After that, we had to do the calling to find out the status of our furniture. We knew that Flex Steel took weeks to make, and that by customizing the fabrics, it would take that much longer. But not almost four months! Our invoice dated January 27, 2017 state that the furniture was 'to arrive after' April 16, 0217 (10 weeks). I suppose that is, in fact, a true claim, but we were going off of the verbal statement that the invoice date was the worse case scenario. After making numerous phone calls after that April 16th date, we finally learned that the furniture was sitting in a warehouse in Texas waiting for the truck to be filled before shipping it out to us in Florida. Jeanne was super apologetic about the delivery 'delay' at first, but then it felt as if she knew all along that 10 weeks was NOT the 'norm' for Flex Steel. We finally received our living room set on May 3rd (13+ weeks). My husband and I just wished we were told that it would take at leas three to four months to get our furniture. If it came in earlier, then it would have been a pleasant surprise. And referring back to the wording on the invoice, 'to arrive after', I believe it is Hudson's policy to cover their bases instead of being forthright with the L-O-N-G delivery time frame of Flex Steel. Bottom line... this review could have been 5 stars had the delivery time frame been presented to us with more accuracy. With that said, go visit Jeanne... but ask for an ACCURATE delivery date.
I will NEVER order from Hudson's Furniture. Joe Key is by far the most unprofessional salesman they have. The rest of the story is as follows.. I would not recommend Hudson's furniture to anyone. I placed an order for a couch on 1/26/2020 and was informed it would be here on 1/22/2020. We did not get our couch until March 21st. During this process I spoke with several people at the Brandon,FL Hudson's location and no one including the General Manager, Matt can tell me where my couch is or when to expect my couch until 2 days before. At this point I am extremely frustrated. This is only the tip of the iceberg with problems I have experienced with this order at Hudson's. First, the salesman Joe Keys was extremely unprofessional throughout the whole process of buying my furniture. He was 20 mins late to our appt on 1/26/2020 because he was hungover. He proceeds to tell us how he was out drinking until 4am and that is why he was late to work. Then, when it came to sign the paperwork all he could do was talk another Kobe Bryant's death. I understand that it was sad, but I don't believe he should be nonstop talking about it when I am trying to figure out my financing with Hudson's. On top of his unprofessionalism, he didn't know how to take care our financing, so he informed us that we had to come back to sign the paperwork. We came back the following Tuesday like he requested to come sign the paperwork and he was no where to be found. On top of that, the paperwork we needed to sign he forgot to print and leave out. The women working had to call the GM and print the paperwork herself when she had another client. A 5 min signature took over 1 hour to complete. Next, Joe Keys told us on 1/26/2020 that we did not have to put down a deposit, come to find out we did and they almost canceled our order. We were out of the country for a week, which we made him very aware of but he still almost canceled our order due to no down payment. When we returned to the country on Sunday, 2/9/2020 we called Joe to schedule our mattress delivery on 2/22/2020. This is when he told us our couch was almost cancelled due to no downpayment. On the phone, he confirmed that our mattress would be delivered on 2/22/2020. We also paid the couch deposit on this day. On 2/19/2020 my husband called to make sure our delivery was scheduled for the mattress and he said it was. When I didn't receive a call on 2/21/2020 I called the store and talked to Matt the GM and he informed me that my mattress was not on the schedule. He did help us out by giving us a loaner mattress and having ours be delivered the following Saturday. I was grateful for this, but still a huge inconvenience and terrible job done by Joe Keys. Now, my couch that was supposed to be delivered 2/22/2020 was delayed and Matt informed me it would be here on 3/2/2020 and that he would give me a call to schedule delivery for 3/8/2020. On 3/6/2020 my husband called after we still didn't receive a call from Matt or anyone to schedule delivery. Matt was busy at the time but supposed to call him back and never did. I called on 3/7/2020 and the assistant manager or I believe his name was Rob was supposed to give me a call by 8pm. I never received a call. On 3/8/2020 Joe called my husband and said he was calling the manufacturer and would give him a call back later when he heard an ETA. This was at 11am and Joe never called back. On 3/9/2020 I called and spoke to Matt and we still do not have a solution for my couch. They still not have a date and it has been over 6 weeks. I have company staying at my house and not a place for them to sit. I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service I have been receiving.
Worst experience! It took two months to receive our sectional and when it arrived it was torn. Several of the sections had damage, mainly a 1 inch tear on one of the arms. There is apparently no quality control before it leaves the store to get to the customer. Then, it took over a month to receive a refund after I returned the sectional. Not to mention, they have me a hard time about returning their defective product. They wanted to send a repair person to fix the leather couch! I would not advise anyone to shop at any of the Hudson furniture branches. Very poor customer service and store policies.
I know very little about Hudsons Furniture. But I do know this, do not buy any Southern Motion Furniture. While it may be made in the U S A, if you use inferior products to make the furniture ,doesn't really matter if it's made in the USA. Buy anything but Southern Motion Furniture. Check out the pictures of my bonded leather reclining sofa after 28 months of use
I had a great experience outfitting my townhouse with over 14 pieces of furniture. I shopped ALL of the furniture stores (Matter Brothers, Room to Go, Ashley, Kane's, Haverty's). Dollar for dollar Hudson's had the best VALUE proposition -- quality, price, and service. My design specialist/salesperson Penny was the BEST. (She was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. - She also has an awesome British accent too !!!). Please consider Hudson's and particularly PENNY when you are in the market for furniture.
My husband and I have been to about 12 furniture stores in the orlando area looking to replace furniture we've had for about 22 years. We had it down to 3 possibles when I met Debbie at Hudson's. We couldn't stop talking about her and the warm, friendly visit we had with her. Even though we didn't go with the Hudson's, I still talk fondly about Debbie to anyone of my friends looking for furniture. She made our visit enjoyable and believe me, a lot of other stores weren't worth even returning to based on customer service alone! The reason we went with another store wasn't in any way a reflection on Debbie. In reality we felt super bad we couldn't go back and see her again. (Which we may as we still are looking for other pieces). I believe I even gave her a hug as we left!
Worst customer service ever! Waited over 5 months for a bed that never came. No one ever calls you back or answers emails.
Hudson was my first stop of three furniture stores. The staff was friendly and inviting gave me a chance to browse without pressuring which I really enjoyed. I hate going to store and they pressure to buy something. When I was ready Evelyn took me around and showed me some pieces. Evelyn was awesome and answered all of my questions. I don't mind spending money on quality furniture. I found several things I liked and purchased. My experience was nice and I will definitely buy there again. So far so good now I'm just waiting for my furniture to be delivered I will update later. Crossing my fingers.
Absolutely horrible service. They say anything to make a sale. They will not deliver on what they offer. Buyer beware! I see you have made a response Lisa to my review. We spoke to you and 3 others from Hudson's. Finally a man we spoke with was at least able to manage a resolution. We thought... As we were driving back home from Florida .. I received a call from your delivery man stating he was 20 mins out from delivering our chairs. The whole issue was we were told our chairs would be delivered on Sat. If not, we could not purchase the dining set because we were leaving the state. After purchase, two days later we received a text stating our delivery day was on Tuesday not Sat. After many frustrating calls and a different discussion with every employee we resolved the issue. We received a small discount off the chairs and they would be held until we returned. Our surprise again when we received a call from your delivery man on Tuesday. He stated was 20 mins out from delivery. We have no idea where our chairs are now. So not only did Hudson's not manage the initial sale to the agreement. The resolution of the complaint wasn't executed according either. You have our money. We have no idea where are chairs are and we have no faith in believing anything Hudson's states.
I went to just about every furniture store in a 10 miles radius in search of a nice black leather rocker-recliner to replace a decades-old one (a time when great high quality, long-lasting furniture was made - more on this later). Christina G. provided a warm greeting immediately upon entering the store and began to show me around at all of the options they had available to satisfy my requirements. Christina was great to work with. After about 30-45 mins of internal debates with myself, I settled on a SAFE BET SOCOZI POWER RECLINING IN VALENTINO BLACK LEATHER 912-13 WITH BLACK STITCHING. Essentially a custom-ordered leather recliner because of the black leather that I knew I wanted. I knew it would take a couple of months and Christina advised me that she would provide regular check-ins via email to keep me updated on the build process and delivery dates. Fast forward several weeks and I received an email from another rep who advised me that Christina was no longer working there but that she would be keeping me up to date. I eventually got my delivery date in May (Ordered in March) and the delivery team was great. The rocker recliner was everything I had expected and more. I was able to take many great naps on it for about 5 months, which is when the power controller decided to stop working altogether. What's worse is that the recliner was now stuck in the full recline position, essentially rendering it non-functioning. It was at this point that I was sure of two things: 1) I missed my decades-old recliner, and 2) I was glad I got the extended service plan. I proceed to contact the store on a Tuesday (Oct 4th) and was told that someone from the service company would be contacting me to schedule an appointment within two days. Two days came and went. I proceeded to contact the store again and left a voice message as it was just a few minutes after 5 pm. Friday came and went with no return call or call from the service company. I proceeded to contact them back on Monday (Oct 10th). I went through the same process and again I was told that I would be hearing back from the service company only this time it would be 'much sooner'. Sure enough the next day I did receive a call from the service company who advised me that they literally just received the request that morning and that the soonest they could come out would be on Oct 20. I expressed my dissatisfaction with having to wait that much longer and she advised that she would contact the store to see about getting someone out to me sooner. I also contacted the store myself, which I later discovered is really just a customer service call center - not the actual brick-and-mortar location. This time I was told that they were going to work on getting someone out to me this week and asked if that would be OK with me. Of course, I said Yes, and asked if she would be calling me back to confirm and she advised me that she would in fact be calling me back. It's been three days now and still no phone call back. Later that evening (Tuesday, Oct 11th) I proceeded to send an email to the sales rep that took over for Christina, and I CC'd the CEO and a few other top executives of Hudsons Furniture. Late the next day, I received a response from the sales assoc advising that she was extremely sorry to hear of my experience and that she had forwarded my concern to her general manager as well as the customer care manager. The next day I received an email from the service company asking me to choose a time for the repair on Oct 27th, two full weeks out and actually WORSE than what I was told the first time. This is still not resolved at the time of this review. What's worse is that I know firsthand what great service is from a furniture store, as I also had an issue with a sectional power recliner that was purchased from another company and was fixed within 3 days of reporting the issue. This is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever experienced. BUYER BEWARE - you will get great service in the store. You will get LOUSY service if you need anything whatsoever post-sale/delivery. They will just tell you whatever you want to hear to get you off the phone. This will NEVER happen again for me - guaranteed!
Fantastic service and selection. Free in home design consultation and family business to boot. Love it.
I recently purchased more than $7000 worth of furniture for an apartment I planned to move into in Sarasota. I was coming from out of state and booked flights and a hotel to be in place for the planned delivery date. They told me I wouldn't know the delivery window until two days prior and I knew that their early window could be as early as 7:30AM. I made it clear that because I was moving in, I wouldn't have keys to the apartment until 9AM. They said that once the window was established, they could adjust and work around it. As expected, two days before the date, I received the automated call was told my window was 7:30-10:30. I called and emailed to Hudson's to let them know of the conflict. Previous to this, they were very responsive, so I was confident they would make the adjustment. On the morning of the delivery, sadly the driver arrived about 8AM and the driver knew nothing of the conflict and as a contractor said he couldn't stay. Hudson's didn't open until 9AM so I couldn't only watch as the driver left. Eventually once I reached a live voice, I was told they driver couldn't return that day or the next (a Saturday) and that they weren't open for deliveries on a Sunday or a Monday. My trip to Florida was a waste of time and money. All they would offer for the inconvenience was $100 off of my next purchase, as long as I purchased within the year. Needless to say, I won't be purchasing from Hudson's again, this year or ever.
A review on customer service from unhappy customers. I was going to shop this store today and unfortunately I will not be going. I read reviews carefully and normally take them with a grain of salt. The problem here is there is no positive reviews and the negative reviews consistently report the same issues. When spending 5-10k on furniture I would expect a lot more. The canned answer from the owner or representative shows a lot. With no follow up from one customer in support of customer service, 'The techs did a great job, they were quick and professional' nothing. Sorry.
I purchased a bedroom set in October received the completely wrong set in February. Mind you after waiting a long time I agreed to settle with the furniture they sent . I went to check out the bedroom set once the men delivered it and they had super glued an entire piece where it was completely noticeable. I reached out to them to replace the footboard and all of a sudden no one wants to respond. I am beyond irritated at how they handle situations like these . Very unprofessional.
Ordered a desk in October 2020 with several other items...guaranteed delivery was pushed back every few weeks..weeks turned to months...desk was just delivered last week, April 15, 2021. 6 months for a desk is absolutely unacceptable. Buyer beware
I would like to thank Debbie and Brad at the Hudson's Furniture in Ocoee for their outstanding and exceptional customer care. Their dedication and expertise has made the purchase of my new living room and dining furniture a phenomenal decision to the 'beautification' of my new home. This will be the second home I've entrusted their professional design services and they did not disappoint. Thank you so much Debbie and Brad for your high level of quality service.
This store has the worst customer service. I purchased a bed on a Friday and when the sale woman Paige was eager to take my credit card she promised that I would have my bed delivered by Tuesday. I just moved here and from New England and had no furniture. She promised she would call me if anything changed. I never heard from her but on Monday I decided to call her to check on the delivery. Turns out she never scheduled the delivery and the next time they could deliver was the weekend. I ended up sleeping on the floor for over a week. When I spoke to a sales person to explain how ridiculous it was for a mattress to be delivered a week after you order it, they didn't want to hear it.
Great experience buying first grown up furniture for our first home. We worked with John and he was pleasant. Very low-key, no pressure, and was always available and nearby to answer questions, but I didn't feel as if I was being stalked by a particularly thirsty vampire while in the store (different experience from some other stores). Furniture quality seems good and it looks great in our bedroom. Pleased with experience and purchased wares.
Folks, do not shop at this company. My wife and I purchased about $6,000 worth of furniture for our master bedroom (top of the line mattress, 2 dresser, night standers, bed frame). The mattress was a big selling point to us as we have had conventional mattresses but had heard great things from tempurpedic (and like) mattress because of their comfort and longevity. About 5 months in our mattress started to develop a dip where my bottom lays. I looked online to see if this was normal and everyone stated that this was a normal case as it conforms to your body. About a month later the problem persisted to where the mattress sags more than a inch without anyone on it. When I lay on the mattress my bottom sinks into the mattress. For the last two months, I have slept in the guest bedroom because of the discomfort. I filled out a warranty and within two weeks their 3rd party came out to inspect the mattress... about a week later I got a call that the mattress only sags 1 inch and needs to be 1 and 1/2 inches to replace mattress. I can 100% guarantee you that there is a defect in this mattress but they 'cant do anything about it'. I called the store to speak to the manager TWICE and got the reception desk and she said she would have him call right away... got no calls both times. I then proceeded to contact our lovely sales rep (Chris Burhman) that sold us this furniture and explained the whole situation... his response was I am sorry for your frustration but there is nothing they can do about it but he would forward to his management team (I am sure it will be placed in the trash). I guess as long as they are selling furniture they do not care as to what happens after that which is sad as I 150% will not take a step inside their store again or refer anyone to them. Customer service is lacking in every department starting with their manager who cant return a phone call. In the end, if you are looking to buy furniture GO ANYWHERE but Hudson's Furniture, unless you love wasting time and money with their incompetent staff.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I rent out a air-bnb and it got trashed by a renter. I needed it furnished ASAP and Joanna in Sarasota knocked it out of the park; under budget. Sooo impressed!!
Amazing! White glove deliver service rocks. Let's start with exceeding our expectations on order time. Our sales agent said to prepare for approximately 12 weeks for bed to arrive. We received a call Wednesday 3 weeks after ordering to let us know our bed was in and they were ready to set up a delivery date for bed and mattress. We choice Friday and were given a 9am-12:00pm window. Received an email Thursday night to confirm. Received a call this morning and they were on our way. Arrived at 8:55am again exceeding our expectations. I apologize I don't have the crews names but they were lead by George K. They were friendly and were happy to be at our residence...happy! They placed a mat at the door walked with me to make sure we were on the same page and was told that 'we got it'. The bed and mattress were in and they had me inspect their work and thanked me for our business. They thanked me! This was our first experience with Hudson's Furniture and after this experience I can not image looking elsewhere. Thank you sales, delivery crew and a shout out to training as this service has to start from the beginning.
Kevin at Hudson's has been amazing to work with. He's professional, personable, resourceful & efficient. I didn't even realize I kept him at the store after closing a few times because he was so locked in on finishing my order & getting it just right. Helped me with ordering pieces off the floor as well as many things upstairs from the clearance area. Delivery was easy!
Yes we love both rooms we furnished. Kirk our salesman was so kind, he listen to us and explained different types of material to us. We were looking for 3 sleeper sofa but heard of this blow up mattress, just what I was looking for. So we we got the queen with the blow up mattress full size sleeper with an up grated mattress for the living room. Now mind you Kirk said ok on this set you pick your own fabric, color, arm shape (straight, square or rounded) plus the color leg for the sofas. My husband and I looked at each other like oh man way to good to be true. When he told us the price I said 'for one' he looked at me and said oh no for all three plus the blow up and the two up graded mattress. We said we will take it! He laughed and said I'm not done plus you get to pick two pillows for each sofa, but one down fault it's all special made so it cold take up to 60 days. I said, I don't care I want. It only took about 30. Yay! My room is complete and beautiful, I enjoy sitting out there everyday. The driver Remi made sure we could open it by it myself and just went though it again like Kirk. We never had a driver Thad made sure we were happy with everything. Another great reason why they will be the only furniture store we will be going back to. Being new to the area we have to learn all these things again, I wish it was only 2 store. We love Hudson's Furniture Thank you, Tracy Carson
Absolute worst shopping experience of my life! It's been 6 months, I gave them 15k and I still don't have my order completed. We waited months just to get a partial delivery. Our end tables and coffee table were damaged. They couldn't get the coffee tables replaced and my wife picked out new ones months ago and we still don't have them. We ordered bar stools they sent chairs! Then they finally sent only 2 of 4 barstools so now I have 2 stools and 2 chairs that looks stupid! Every time we call and complain and they apologize but offer little to nothing to make up for it and they don't follow up with us we always have to call them my entertainment center came incomplete and they have attempted to fix it 3 times and always send the wrong parts or it's damaged it's been 6 months and the only one of these issues that's resolved is the coffee table don't buy from these thieves and crooks!
If I could assign negative stars, I would. I purchased $14,000 in furniture, everything was good except a small sectional that doesn't fit in the space and doesn't allow me to see the tv. I tried to pick out a couch instead, but they refused to honor any of the discounts offered on the original order. I told them to pick it up and I would look elsewhere, and they said there would be a 30% penalty fee to which I agree. They then went radio silent. I finally spoke to the sales guy, Derrick, today, and he just told me I couldn't return the furniture because it had been in the home too long. I am livid and this will not end here. I will sue if I have to!
If I could give a rating of ZERO I would. The salesperson put in the wrong order for my sectional on January 19 which was discovered when they delivered the piece in April. Now it is August and I am still waiting for the correct piece for the sectional. I finally called because of course there has been no follow up with the Salesperson or the Store Manager. Now, as in the last three months, they say it will be in the next month (they've said that now for 3 straight months in a row). I am now in the process of returning this sad pathetic piece of furniture. This store is a joke. The piece looks ridiculous. I paid $5000 for a sectional that looks like I picked it up from the side of the road.
I had never been in one of their stores prior to this adventure of purchasing a recliner from their Brandon store. I dealt with Derek who was supposed to be their sales manager. I was pitched with his pat sales pitch of having 95% of their furniture manufactured in the United States. US manufacturers weren't affect like competitors who sourced 95% of their furniture from China and other countries from overseas. I was guaranteed my chair would be shipped in typically 4 weeks possibly 6 in a worst case scenario. July 31st was a worst case scenario and yet now I'm being told to expect it in the middle or end of August. One might ask why not just cancel the order? Their orders are noncancellable. So I'm stuck with dealing with a company who will tell you what you want to hear but fails measurably in following through with their commitments. Hudson's will not have the opportunity to pull this again on me.
I purchased a sectional from Hudson recently and couldn't be happier with the product itself! Very comfy and was a better purchase experience than my last attempt at buying a couch! I did give a 5 star review but I would like to point out a couple things. I was told I was going to receive a call the night before to ensure delivery was going to be on point. I never received call :( I had to call on the day of delivery to question if my delivery was on for that day.. They stated they messed up putting number in computer.. I understand mistakes and I didn't discount a star as we are humans.. Just giving my experience! Like I stated I love my new couch!!
Delivered open, used and damaged furniture after a long delivery timeframe. Returned and still got charged. I have been fighting for months on credit. Reached out to sales person Blake Perry (who sold me product) at the Sarasota location and not helpful- made me feel I was wasting his time! Then got a late charge for product I never received! Blake actually laughed and said ' we will give you the $15 if it makes you happy' No sir... its the charges for product I never got. I had to do a formal complaint to Synchrony Bank and they are still looking into the issue almost 60 days later. Never got any response or follow-up from Blake after multiple calls. Customer service at its best!! Beware of charges, who your sales person is and know if there is an issue they are not quick to help.
Horrible customer service and I mean HORRIBLE (PLEASE READ BUYER BEWARE). I purchased a sectional years ago with furniture warranty because I have two little ones, which was good for 5 years. I called last year for my couch to be fixed (the warranty company) said it was discounted and sent a furniture credit to the store. I got a call about 5 days later to pick brand new furniture when I got to the store we were helped by an employee named LIZ who helped us. We were told our new furniture will arrive in a month when we asked what do we do regarding our old furniture LIZ stated that we dispose of it. We lived in a condo and couldn't just take it to the garbage we paid a junk truck to come and pick it up. A month passed we never got our furniture nor a call that it's not coming. I took a day off work because besides the date we were never given a time. I called the following day the store and they just said oh it's not shipped yet it should arrive next month again no call, furniture never arrived and this went on 4 months. I finally went to the store and spoke to Silas the assistant manager he stated chairs would arrive and a table a month later, yet the port in Vietnam in not opened yet but they hoped. I asked him to cancel my order as we needed our furniture. He stated our credit would be refunded. I came back to order a new piece of furniture and was told by Silas that my credit has been canceled. He couldn't explain why until another manager explained due to inactivity and that the store manager could revive this credit. We thought great! Yet the store manager that was helping us along the way retired, and a new one was just hired. When I spoke to her on the phone she stated that I was not supposed to dispose of my furniture and because of that she can't give me my large credit. When I told her this is what I was told by 2 employees in the store who still work there she stated this will be taken as a coaching opportunity, it's not my fault but they can't help. We spent hundreds of dollars on warranty, but because we were given the wrong information by LIZ, Crystal the store manager said it's out of her hands. She asked me for paper trail, yet when I asked her to CC me on the email she was sending to her District Manager Lisa King she said OH WE CAN'T DO THAT ITA AGAINST OUR POLICY. Yet the whole time im being asked for paper trail. This transaction has caused me severe stress, sleepless nights because nobody is calling me back. When I walk into the store to speak to someone I was so distressed managers are not even interested they just hand over the 1800 number. I've never ever in my life had this horrible of a customer service. STAY AWAY I will share my horrible experience with every social media outlet because people need to know how awful this company treats it's clients. We've spent thousands of dollars here to not even be given the time of the day with our concern. Lisa King is the regional manager who I've tried to reach out to countless times yet she has never responded or called me once. Shame on you Hudson's!
Do not do business with this company, especially this store. The store manager Doug is a complete unethical jerk! They will take your money without delivering on time as they do not care how many weeks or months late the furniture is delivered as long as they have your money upfront. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere where you are treated with respect without feeling scammed. Lisa, I apologize but I will not be contacting you based on the numerous online reviews from other mistreated customers which you were not able to assist and also referred to you as rude.
I live Hudson's. I worked with Lisa and she is wonderful! Caring, intelligent and a great listener. She helped me find exactly what I wanted. And free delivery always helps. Five stars!!!
Having just moved to Florida and shopping furniture needs, Hudson's outshines them all. Our Service gentlemen were so professional and efficient delivering our new pieces. Antonio and Marcus took great care in our home and placed everything exactly as it should be. Hudson's sales staff, designers and service is A-1.
Found exactly what we were looking for and they have the best customer service. Very unlike the chain furniture stores. Will def go back again when I'm looking for more furniture
This store has the worst customer service and their delivery takes a long time in getting to you. We purchased a TV console and matching Hutch in the middle of November. Their records indicated that the warehouse had the items in stock at the beginning of Dec. After calling them ten times their customer service Department finally set delivery for Jan. 3 rd. If you want to waste time calling and tracking your order Hudson Furniture in Sarasota is your store. The managers are never to be found and the sales associates never return the calls. This store is the worse.
The term 'furniture store' does absolutely nothing to describe this business. First and foremost I have to say that Victoria K. is a remarkable sales representative. I say this for a few reasons; #1 Her charisma, charm and personality make it so very easy to deal with her as well as a zero pressure mindset. #2 Her ability to decipher (what I was trying to explain) what I was looking for seemed to be as easy as reading a book. Victoria's ability to turn my words into a visual interpretation of a product (either standard or custom) really helped me decide which direction to go. #3 Her knowledge of what a company like Hudson's has to offer is like none that I have ever dealt with in the past. Whether it's off the floor or a custom piece she will make it happen. #4 This young lady was dressed and acted like a true professional whom takes great pride in what she does. I would hope that she is seen as model employee for this company and if not she needs to be identified as such. Because of this young professional and her dedication to the customer (as well as the company) I will recommend to everyone that they go see Ms.Victoria at Hudson's without hesitation.
Be Warned Hudson's does not stand by the furniture warranty that they sell !!! The furniture is poorly made! I have had a bad experience with tand they have made no effort to give any kind of decent customer service!
Terrible from start to finish. This piece of 'new' furniture is in far worse condition than the 20-year-old couch it's replacing that we put on the curb for trash pickup. 1. Manufacturing quality is unacceptable, with so many obvious flaws this furniture should never have been allowed to leave the factory. 2. Hudson's quality control is non-existent. The salesperson said they don't bother checking furniture that comes from manufacturers before it gets delivered to customers. 3. Delivery were so careless that they caused additional damage. 4. Customer service are not competent enough to set up an appointment for the correct day. 5. Hudson's doesn't employ their own techs to fix problems, they use contractors who don't care. The tech submitted an incorrect and incomplete report, leaving out all the issues we have with the furniture. The next one didn't order the part they were supposed to. The next one wasn't able to fix anything. 6. The salesperson we initially bought from doesn't have any authority to do anything apart from constantly apologize. Nobody takes any responsibility. Once they've got your money you are helpless. Do not buy from Hudson's.
Saved me a lot of time when not one employee would offer any assistance. There were about 10 people working on black Friday, the store only had a few customers. Employees were just talking amongst themselves and didn't want to be bothered by customers. I found a great deal at a competitor. Hudson's failed!
Really bad experience. Furniture 3 months late after being told in January it's in the warehouse 2/15. Then it's not and if we pick from the 4 fabrics readily available it's 3/5, changed to 3/15, 4/5, the salesperson Rachel was of no help. I wanted free delivery and set up after being disappointed time and again. She agrees in writing to the free delivery/set up...well they can't even get that right. They dump it in my kids apartment and leave. Oh and they can't seem to get the simplest instructions correct. I gave specific direction regarding which phone number to call. Well they didn't get it right...not once. Frustrating terrible service.
I give this store 2 stars for two reasons, one the proximity and the second for its selection on the floor. Other than that it would have been 0 / none. The sales lady had less knowledge of furniture than I had, every sofa we picked wasn't available for months out and we pretty much got pressured into taking something we don't like and in less than 6 months is already falling apart. WORST furniture shopping experience ever and we have bought furniture for six houses over the years. Just plain terrible, will NOT shop or refer here again. 12/4/16 Josh from Hudson' Furniture replied and has offered to put us in touch with the manager, a step in the right direction. Thank you Josh. Please do.
My girlfriend and I finally decided to buck up and get a new bed. After searching around a few stores we had the pleasure of meeting Laura at Hudson's. She helped us find the right bed for our needs vs. just trying to sell us the most expensive bed on the showroom floor like the other stores we visited. She was very knowledgable and patient. (My girlfriend is not always very decisive.) Can't say enough positive things about our experience. I'm writing this almost 6 months after our purchase because I wanted to see how the store handled everything and if there would be any problems with the bed. We had a motor issue at first, not a huge deal. Laura was on top of it and helped us get the service team out immediately to replace it. Since then, we have had nothing but sweet dreams and comfortable rest. I highly recommend Hudson's and Laura for your next furniture purchase. A+.
One would think if someone spent in excess of $5,000 on a bedroom set and things came in wrong, were not ordered, or wrong size was ordered or tthe wrong color was ordered that the company would most likely make it right. In an attempt to pacify me they gave me mismatched furniture and assured me they would take care of me for my time and sleeping on the floor for two nights waiting on a backup bed. Well here I sit the night before they're supposed to deliver the real furniture, the right stuff hopefully, for the third time and now they are refusing to compensate me for 3 days of sitting around waiting on movers, missing work and think everything should just be okay. It was discussed from the beginning that they would offer compensation and now refuse. First and last time I will ever buy anything at Hudson and as a local realtor I will definitely caution all of my clients and family members to steer clear. I am trying to contact the regional manager and most likey requesting a full refund and I will start over.
I never write bad reviews until i have given a store every opportunity to make it right with me first. Hudson Furniture in Bradenton has never responded to my many calls or emails to them. We ordered 2 chairs back in Dec of 2020 and just received them on July 1st 2021 from Jonathan, who was amazing! We had a very bad delivery resulting in damage to our fence and gate. We had a window of 2-5pm and they arrived at 7:20pm. I instructed the three hispanic men who chose not to speak any english to me, not to pull into my narrow driveway and they did anyway tearing down a portion of our fence. They left our home at almost 9pm all that time trying to get their truck off our fence and blocking the road traffic both ways. It only took them 10min to get my new chairs inside. If they had only listened to me the first time. We were able to speak with the manager of the delivery guys but It took over 2 weeks to fix our fence and not one call or email from Hudson's customer service. I even email Joshua Hudson, owner of HF with no response back. It was our first time shopping there and we had the best experience until the delivery part. I wanted to go back and purchase other items, but after no contact from anyone I have changed my mind. How sad customer service can't even give you a courtesy call back. I have pictures and videos to back all this up.
Had an awesome experience with Hudson's furniture. Great customer service, quick delivery and a fantastic selection. We found our parents a wonderful new furniture store for their new home in Florida. Can't wait to shop again! Stacy
Mike D. was our helpful salesman. He let us wander freely without hovering. However, he always seemed to appear just when we had a question. Or, he would appear to let us know of optional colors or configurations. He attuned to what we like and what we needed. Robert, the designer, gave us advice and hints in the store. Both were patient. The delivery team , including Remys Q., were careful with our new furniture and its placement. They even slipped out of their shoes every time they entered even when carrying couch, chairs, & pillows. Seems like a good group to work with, doesn't it?
Hubby and I decided to look at some living room furniture on Black Friday before going to some other stores. We started looking around and got lost in the many choices, colors, fabrics, syles..etc. Our salesperson, Victoria, was so knowledgeable and patient while we changed our minds several times. We wound up with a couch and loveseat that did everything but cook dinner. Great experience. Looking forward to our furniture sitting right in our living room. 2/4/2017 - Our couch and loveseat were delivered today. The fabric, which I was so unsure of, looks gorgeous (just like Victoria said it would). The delivery men were polite, careful and friendly. The lead driver was very knowledgeable. What a wonderful experience.
Crystal, the manager and Joe were exceptional in the attention given to us. While my wife and I liked the quality and price of our purchase, we wanted to by from this team. Joe was attentive, but did not hover or pressure us. He was there to answer questions and guide. A real professional. Crystal stepped in to assist in helping us find the pieces we originally saw online and which drew us to the store. She was patient and willing to invest effort in searching the Hudson inventory. In short, a great team at this Clearwater/Countryside location.
Highly recommend. We were lucky enough to work with Crystal Freyre at the Clearwater store. She was extremely knowledgeable, and her follow up was amazing. She spent overtime to help my family make some great decisions. Whether it's on the floor or not, she will know how to guide you. Thanks again Crystal for going above and beyond for this family.
..... it's the helpless employees for me. Came in looking for a desk and we were told they had NONE. So another employee snaps and says show them the one by the bathroom. Well this was a huge console/entertainment system. Not a desk. So we said ok thanks we will walk around and look. And what do you know. 5-6 furniture pieces labeled DESK. Lol what a joke this place is. Even if we found a desk we wanted we wouldn't have bought it here for the lack of effort and help we wished we received. Best of luck to this business but don't go in thinking you're going to get willing to help employees
Review will be updated once I receive the chair I purchased, but Alexander and Victoria were so nice and helpful! Alexander helped guide me to a few items in budget as I shopped for living room furniture, and he really tried to get to know me as a person too, not just a customer. I fell in love with this comfy little chair, but since I hadn't bought a sofa yet, I held off purchasing it the first time I was in. Within a few days though, I had found a sofa that fit my needs and was under budget, so I quickly came back here to get this chair to complete my living room as well. Unfortunately Alexander wasn't working when I came in, but Victoria quickly helped me out, and let me know about the extra discount they currently had going on too. Both made my shopping experience here wonderful, and I wish I had the budget to furnish my entire apartment with their items since their customer service is so great here.
Absolutely terrible. Helped my elderly Grandma pick out furniture to furnish her whole condo. Had a no show delivery and then the date for delivery kept getting pushed back. Got a partial delivery that wasn't even the correct furniture. Had them keep it. Called to cancel all furniture and was advised we couldn't. We finally went back to store to see what our options were and spoke to the manager (I can't remember her name). They refused to work with us at all and didn't take any responsibility for their terrible customer service. She spoke down to us and was very unprofessional. After some negotiations, they finally let us cancel *most* of the order except some expensive bar stools. We will never shop there again.
I read the REVIEWs from others and felt some of their problems related somewhat to mine. * I do see Customers Service all say those same words....'WERE SORRY' and don't feel they really give a darn. I too waited a MONTH to receive my Recliner in the Gladiator Oyster Color. It did arrive as scheduled and 30-min earlier. The sales girl I had was very nice but I wonder how many Sales Employees know when Hudson Scams a Customer. *Do be aware of papers you Sign. I was told I signed a No Return and ONLY EXCHANGE Clause. My Recliner arrived after a MONTH waiting in BROWN. My choice was to Exchange or take a small Credit. I took a Credit since I don't need to waste money on things I don't need. Friends tell me HUDSONS 'BROKE' that Contract and I should of received a REFUND. I am writing only to ADVISE Others to BE CAREFUL OF CONTRACTS YOU SIGN WITH HUDSON'S. I won't shop their again. I do believe they don't even have the Recliner in my Color and they want to get rid of the many BROWN Recliners. Hopefully some Sales Employees read these Review and venture out to better companies.
New home owner in need of furniture, new to the area, thereby a novice to the 'known' delivery schemes of this place!
We recently purchased a new home and furnishing it has been overwhelming ! We visited no less than 6 furniture stores today and met many pushy sales people that really turned us off. It was so pleasant to meet Charlotte today at Hudsons in Ocoee . She was so kind and informative . She really made us feel welcome and made the purchase of our new dining room set easy. It was an awesome experience . Much thanks to Charlotte and we will be back .
The furniture here is nice; I bought a bedroom set plus matress and got great service from the sales/floor staff and was happy with that process. This was our first 'grown up furniture' purchase; up until this purchase, we had mismatched stuff we had either inherited or bought on Craigslist and we were ready to upgrade to nice matching sets. We purchased in early December, it was delivered on Dec 17. The delivery and post-delivery support is the reason for the bad review. I want any reader to keep in mind that this is not cheapo, Rooms To Go crappy quaity or Ikea lego snap-together furniture; I spent just shy of $8,000 on all my pieces (king bed, dresser, chest, 2 nightstands, high end memory foam matress) and expect $8,000 worth of quality out of the entire process. I had my furniture delivered a few weeks after purchasing it because I needed it delivered on a weekend, as I have a job to pay for said furniture and need to be there during the days of the week. When the furniture was delivered, it was delivered already assembled and the delivery team brought it to my bedroom. Most of the pieces were fine and delivered in good shape, but I had two problems: the dresser had a big hunk of one of the feet broken off (about a quarter of the 'foot' was gone) and this stood out rather distinctly as I had dark furniture and it was wood colored where the missing piece was, because they obviously can't paint/stain the inside of the wood. One of the drawers on this piece was filled with little chunks of styrofoam, which I assume resulted in breaking the styrofoam the parts shipped in and then not cleaning it up, which I had to do myself. My second problem was with the bed. There are three slats that support the box springs and each slat has two legs to support the slats. Two of the slats and their accompanying legs were put on just fine, but whoever did the third one completely halfassed it and put the slat on upside down, screwed the legs into it backwards, and that resulted in one of them ripping out. I know he put it on upside down because I noticed llittle chunks of broken wood and the fallen leg on the floor and looked at it, and lo-and-behold there is a damn sticker facing the ground that says 'this side up' on it. Nice one. Also, one of them knocked over my alarm lamp that simulates the sun rising and broke the special bulb required to go in it. There was absolutely no offer to replace it, even after I specifically said that it was a special bulb I had to order and was not cheap (the replacement bulb was $27, by the way). I faxed the purchase order to Hudson's on 12-20-11 and as of 1-6-12 still have not heard a word about reimbursement for the bulb their staff broke. It took over two weeks (Jan 3rd) to get the repair guy to come fix the broken furniture. He would call, leave a message, then not return calls; when I finally got ahold of him and told him I wanted him to come out on a weekend and fix it, he got whiney about not having any jobs in my part of town (don't care, not my problem) and couldn't get out there except on a Tuesday. So not only did I deal with broken furniture for two weeks, I had to take a half-day off of work because I got a three hour window for the repair guy to come out and fix furniture that was delivered broken. Once he got out to my place, he took care of everything and my furniture has been fine ever since, and he did a good job repairing the broken bits. Final complaint-- I purchased during a 'buy furniture, get a free TV' promotion. I asked the sales guy how I got the TV and he said a gift card/certificate to Best Buy would be delivered with my furniture. When I asked the delivery guys about it, they said they didn't have it and it would be mailed to me when they filed my paperwork and it should take a week or so to get to me. 6 days later (Dec 23) I called to follow up as I still hadn't seen it, and was told by customer service 'the girl that handles those is on vacation and will be back next week' and to expect it a week after that. After all these shenanegans, I finally got it on Dec 30th and went to the waking nightmare that is Best Buy and got my TV. What a headache. Is this what people have to go through for nice furniture? This is the kind of service 8 grand gets you?
We moved to Florida from New Jersey about a year ago and one thing we noticed was the lack of customer service in the Orlando area. We had the privilege of working with Nona Abisaid today. She's exceptional. She didn't hover over us but was always close when we had a question. Her knowledge of the product was excellent. We were very happy with our purchase today and will come back to her for any future needs.
DO NOT buy here ! I ordered custom Recliner which lays flat ! Received a regular one. Not flat....... They filed BANKRUPTCY ! Vendors not being paid and I paid 1000.00 for a 300.00 recliner ? As a Vet, senior, leukemia patient. They only care for your money.!! Will nor make good or refund a recliner I waited 6 weeks for that's not what I ordered. DON'T FALL FOR THEIR REPLY. THE MANAGER Couldn't care less.
John Hudson was our sales rep and he was amazing! Knowledgeable, personable and patient without being even remotely pushy! Though we came back and changed our minds a couple of times he was so great to work with! We would highly recommend this man and this store !
