Great experience!!!

Great experience!!! We got exactly what we wanted. Gail was our salesperson. Go see Gail - she will make it happen!

Had an ok experience

Had an ok experience . The guy assisting us was Juan I believe. He was very patient. He showed us all of the options we had before purchasing . We lost our house to a fire in January. We came to buy beds , and a freezer. It kinda sucked with the prices. We didn't get a big discount and it felt like they just wanted to sell us the stuff without trying to make it comfortable . We purchased over $16,300 worth of furniture with the $1,000 discount. And they only gave a speaker as a gift . They also charged us about $130 for delivery. We decided to get our couch and a dinning table at Costco cause they have much better deals. don't know if we will be coming back, but at least we know and can share our experience at this place with someone else. Maybe it's just us, but it felt like a loss for my mom . We also purchased some beds and once, we received half of the furniture (that we had to come pick up) one of the mattresses had a huge hole on it. I don't understand why they tried to sell that to us in such a condition . Just throwing this out there. Make sure you check every piece of your furniture that you buy here, it might surprise what you will find.

Communication...

Communication is seriously lacking!! I bought a bedroom set and mattress set from Gail. The delivery was scheduled for the next weekend since they don't deliver after 5:00p.m. Delivery day comes and they start bringing the pieces in. I was shortly notified that they were missing hardware to put the bed frame together. I asked if they had the mattress set and they had no clue that was part of the delivery. The truck was loaded for them and assumed everything was on the truck. Even if they had the hardware to put the frame together I was missing the mattress. I didn't really worry to much and I was o.k. with them coming during the week to finish the set up and deliver the mattress. I understand things happen. The next day with headboard sitting in my daughter's room I notice a flaw in the headboard and I call the store to let them know they needed to bring a new headboard. Thursday rolls around and they come out and assemble the headboard and mirror on the dresser. I was not there that day due to having to work and my mother was not aware of the flaw. That's great they assembled the bed but again no mattress so an assembled headboard is no use to me without a mattress and box spring. I speak to the manager and was told I would be the first delivery that Saturday. First delivery is from 8 to 10 a.m. Around Saturday around 10:30 a.m. I call to the store to find out an ETA on delivery. I was told they needed to call the manager who happened to be on another delivery to find out the location of the truck. I call back several times since I didn't get a quick call back. Around 11:30a.m. I get a call from the original delivery guy who stated he had no clue he was delivery to my address. Around 12:30p.m. the truck shows up with the new headboard and the mattress and box spring. I asked for the delivery charge to be refunded. It was stated that it would be refunded. As of 5/20/19 it was still on my account. My first payment was due on 5/1/19 and on 5/4/19 they called me to advise me of my late payment. The only reason I knew they called me is because they called my mom right after they called me since I didn't answer my phone. They did not leave a message on my phone or I would have called them back. I have yet to receive a statement of my account. They are very prompt in asking for their money but not in the delivery. You can't pay online, if you pay over the phone without a $4.00 fee. You can mail it in or drop it off. Who has time for that!!! Communication is ridiculous!

So, we bought a couch from Farmers.

So, we bought a couch from Farmers. It was on sale because it had some minor cosmetic damage. We asked the sales guy, sales lady, manager, and customer service exactly why it was on sale, was it a return? Was it previously purchased and returned? We were told no, its on sale because it has cosmetic damage. Well, we pick the couch up on Sunday evening, get it home and put it in the living room. What do we see tonight? B E D B U G S!! The 'BRAND NEW' couch is INFESTED WITH BEDBUGS! So we get to spend our Tuesday night moving the heavy couch out, and washing EVERYTHING in our house and trying to avoid an infestation in our home. FARMERS, WE EXPECT A FULL REFUND, AND A GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL COVER ANY COSTS INCURRED TO US FOR BEDBUG INFESTATION!!! YOU SOLD US THIS COUCH UNDER FALSE PRETENSES BECAUSE UNLESS YOUR STORE IS INFESTED WITH BEDBUGS, AND THEREFORE ALL FURNITURE YOU SELL, THERE IS NO WAY THIS COUCH WAS BRAND NEW!

Not the review I wanted to write!

Not the review I wanted to write! Looked at Ashley desk at Farmers Furniture. On sale and great price. Salesperson said could have Thursday - and it was Tuesday. Went home and measured space. Called Salesperson and talked with Credit to leave a $50 deposit. Oops, desk would not be in until the following week - on Thursday. So when no call, I called them - salesperson said there was a backorder, and would be in the following week. So waited, and when no call, I called and spoke to Manager (?) who said with only a deposit they 'assumed' lay-away and she would place the order that day. Got a call from Salesperson next day saying she could see it had not been ordered and would have the order placed that day. (So what did Manager do the previous day?) It would be in on the 19th. On the 19th got a call from Salesperson. Woops, not yet, but on the 25th. Ok, another call - It is here. Great. Arrived next afternoon. Go to credit counter and pay balance. Ask for receipt showing item and full amount of money paid. Difficult project, but I got it. Please drive around to dock at back of building and fellow will put in your car. I do. No one there. I call out, and finally use my cell phone to call the front office. As they answer, a fellow comes walking towards me. 'I have bad news. Your desk is not in.' Ok, I want a refund. Let's just get this over and done with. We go to the front desk. He projects his disappointment with all involved with this purchase - he is sales manager??? We can get this in next Monday. How about if we assemble and deliver it to your home - that's an $80 charge but we will absorb. Ok, but if not here, I will call my credit card company and put in dispute. So Monday comes - yup, you guessed it - the desk is there, but there is damage to the top. We need to reorder. This has gone on for a month - I am done and I tell this fellow that. I call my credit card company. Their thought is rather than dispute, my rep there will call the store and resolve - would put me on call once all is set. So now we get the manager (our 3rd manager??) on the phone. She says she can not do refund of deposit because it was done with a debit card. My reply - I don't have a debit card and have never used one. Fortunately, my rep still on phone and verifies that deposit and balance were both done on credit card. With a sigh, she prepares credit. Rep - How long will that take to go through. Mgr - As soon as credit card companies process it. Nice. So my rep says he is out until Friday, but will call me on Friday to check that all is resolved. And my rep does call - love Capital One - and credit is in place. BTW - purchased desk directly from Ashley on line for $60 more. Free shipping and must assemble - put the 4 legs on - challenging - not for this senior. Moral: shop elsewhere. Such a disappointing experience.

A little pricy...

A little pricy but you are able to get the item you want the same day and on credit. I have Purchased a bed, game system, and mower from here and so far I've had a quick and easy shopping experience.

My wife and I purchased a home in 2017

My wife and I purchased a home in 2017. After moving in we found we needed a fridge so I filled out an online credit application for Farmers Home Furniture. I was called within the hour and told that I was approved for a certain amount. We went to the store and picked out our fridge and a few other items. We were telling the finance officer we would be paying off the items within a month. She advised that we should not close out the account, because if we did, and needed something else than we would have to fill out another credit application. So we decided to keep it open, Fast Forward to about a year later. We wanted to purchase new patio furniture we go to pick out what we liked, and we are told they have to do another hard credit pull because we haven't purchased anything within the past 6 months. This totally contradicted what we were told when we opened the account. Apparently on time payments does not matter to Farmers. I'm pretty sure I was told to keep the account going just so they could continue to collect finance charges. Once these items are paid off, we will never use Farmers Home Furniture again.

I will never buy from Farmer's Furniture

I will never buy from Farmer's Furniture again nor recommend them to family or friends. I have made all my payments every month and in February of 2018 I made 2 payments, then on the 2nd payment of $100 the young lady realized she charged my card $254, but the $100 was entered into their system and I didn't know that. I told her don't worry about crediting my card and apply it to my next months payment. Not only was this not notated in my account, she didn't adjust the other $154 either. A few months later I noticed on my credit report they reported me as being late in February even though I made 2 payments, one being an additional. They have constantly called me for my 'payment', then within 5 minutes of calling me and don't give me a chance to return their voicemail they are calling ALL of my references on file over a $100 payment!!!! I had to take time off of work to get a bank statement to show I was overcharged and my account wasn't credited. The new manager seemed like he wanted to help and agreed my charges were incorrect and he noticed another $19 difference which he then credited. When I asked about the other $150 difference it was my understanding he was applied to my account. Now 3 days later I'm getting harassed at work for my payment!!! I'm infuriated at their incompetence I will never buy again and I'm at the point where they can come get my bedroom suit and I will sleep on my floor or even go to Rent-A-Center!

Horrible experience!

Horrible experience! Do not shop here! They sold us defective furniture that damaged our hardwood floors and no-one returns the calls. The delivery men were still at my house when I showed them the sofa was reclining and digging into the floors! The sofa reclined and left a deep two-foot-long scratch in our new hardwood floors. They replaced the sofa on Dec 31 and I showed them the loveseat is lopsided. They tried to fix it but couldn't. It has been over three weeks and these people do not return your calls nor stand behind their products! Don't shop here! I wish I had read these reviews before we shopped with Farmers! We are going to buy new bedroom furniture and a new refrigerator, but not from farmers!

Sadly Mistaken

I thought this was a really good place to buy furniture I was sadly mistaken. They damaged my furniture as they where bringing it I asked them to take it back they replied 'we don't repo furniture ' I thought it was only repo when you're behind. The customer service at this place is horrible.

If I could leave 0 stars...

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and read this entire post before purchasing anything from here. This Farmers is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I bought a reclining couch and floor model table set in February and paid a $100 delivery fee. The manager, Roxanne, is extremely rude and unprofessional, she canceled delivery of my furniture twice and didn't inform me until I called. Then she, very rudely, told me if I couldn't help the delivery guy deliver the furniture, that she had no clue when she'd be able to deliver it. I had to hire a moving company for an extra $400 to go pick up my furniture. When I went to pick it up they tried to say they couldn't do pick ups on that day even though I had called earlier to confirm. They also informed me that they forgot to take the table set off the floor and 'accidentally' sold it to someone else. I had to call twice to get the refund for my delivery fee and a refund for the tables, and Roxanne was extremely rude both times. The icing on the cake is that, after having the couch only 6 months, two of the legs snapped off. Making the couch unusable!!!! The couch costs $1000 and the legs were held onto the couch with 4 staples! I had to contact the customer service email and the customer service messaging system before a representative named Edward Chatman finally called me back. He told me he would talk to the store manager about getting me a refund. He still had not called back after 2 weeks, so I called him today. He was extremely unhelpful, and he had the audacity to only offer $100 store credit to compensate for a 6-month-old, broken, $1000 couch. I informed him that offer was unacceptable and he refused to offer anything more. I will never, ever buy anything from this chain again, and I'm telling everyone I know to steer clear of this place. Another member of my family was going to buy from this company, and went to a competitor after hearing of my experience. They just bought over $15,000 worth of furniture from Ashley Furniture and had a much better experience.

So I recently got a sectional from this company.

So I recently got a sectional from this company. Now to start with the sales girl was not knowledgeable on the furniture and how to proceed with the sale. I asked if they offered delivery and the manager said yes for $99 extra. So I paid the extra delivery fee. NOW THE DAY OF DELIVERY. Keep in mind we live on the second floor. The delivery guy finally comes and says that he is leaving it down stairs and is not able to bring it to the door. Nobody told us this when we was paying extra for the delivery fee. No assembly no delivery to second floor nothing. Then when i call the manager she got upset and said well we are not moving it upstairs. Don't purchase from this place. New ottoman has a tear. Fucking horrible.

I don't know why I keep going back to this farmers furniture

I don't know why I keep going back to this farmers furniture. two years ago I purchased a king size bed and it had to be replaced within months and was broken again when I sold it. a year ago I bought a dining room table again it had to be replaced before it was even paid for. I bought a recliner that was broken before it was ever paid off why in the world did I just go back and buy a lawnmower thinking it would be any different. before the first payment was even made i had to send it back because it's broken. this farmers either gets the worst merchandise they can possibly sell or the management is deliberately selling junk to get people to come back

A decent place to furniture shop.

A decent place to furniture shop. I can't say that the furniture 'WOW'd' me, but I can say that I saw some sets that I hadn't seen before. The staff was friendly and not too pushy. She took my wants and desires into consideration and attempted to find something that matched what I was looking for. Some of the furniture was perfect but in a dark brown 'old school' looking color. I didn't like that many of the sets didn't have other colors to choose from and if they did, it would take 6-8 weeks to deliver. Although located in Quincy, they do deliver to Tallahassee. They have financing options similar to most furniture stores with a zero interest for 'X' amount of months. The children's section was small but other than that I was satisfied with my visit. I would return again.

I'm new in town and new to owning a home

I'm new in town and new to owning a home. I was in need of stepping my game up from using a plastic folding card table in my dining room to a real, elegant table. What am I, a savage?!?!? So I stopped by Farmers since I've purchased furniture from them in the past at another location. I was instantly greeted and asked if I needed help. They had a decent selection, and I easily found a dining table I wanted at a reasonable price. I also saw a nice TV stand that I may go back for. I plan on upgrading my sofas in the future, and I was sort of disappointed they didn't have more modern-style items...or at least they didn't have the specific look I'm going for for my living room. Or maybe I was more concerned with my dining table at the time and didn't give enough attention to couch surfing. Anyway, I'll probably go back to them down the line.

We bought a reclining sectional sofa...

We bought a reclining sectional sofa and loveseat not even 6 months ago. One of the recliners is completely bent and and sits about 3 inches uneven. It seems another recliner on the other side is starting to do the same thing. Don't buy anything from this place. Save yourself the headache and go to a reputable dealer. Not like this small town crap store.

They don't know anything...

They don't know anything about there furniture. I tried three times to get a frame and headboard for the mattress set I bought there, but they couldn't figure it out. So now I have a metal frame with no headboard. Very disappointed after trying 3 different bed frames & headboards. I just gave up.

I was very pleased with the service and the product

I was very pleased with the service and the product. Although the coffee and occasional tables I purchased were not expensive, they looked like quality furniture and were delivered with great care. There was not a single mark on them. I would definitely purchase from this store again. I wish I had made Farmers my first stop when I was buying furniture for my home.

Great service by all

Great service by all. Very helpful and friendly. Scheduled delivery arrived right on time!!

Delivery stinks.

Delivery stinks. First waiting a week. Then day of delivery was told 10-2, no show so I call, be there 2-4, no show again, told not even on truck yet, so let's see if it shows up at all today.

Started out great back...

Started out great back on May. Bought a new house so I went there to get furniture. I bought the extra warranty just in case something happened. Well it's December and my sectional couch is broke. I have called them 5 times within the last week. Always get told someone will call you back. I work in retail. I totally understand. But this is horrible customer service. I will never shop there again.

I purchased for pieces...

I purchased for pieces of 'as is furniture' from the floor. There were a few blemishes that were fixable, thus acceptable. The furniture arrived by delivery in a very different condition. I called them within 20 minutes of delivery and sent pictures. It took four days to get ahold of someone that told me they were going to adhere to their 'as is' rules - with no accommodation for the damage was done by either their staff or delivery personal. What I wanted was them to take the furniture back so I could exchange/buy something new from them. I am now out $1200 and will never set foot in their store again. Very disappointed. (The salesperson was awesome, it's the store that sucked). I believe the blemish I circled matched shows the damage happened post point of purchase, but I admit that I'm only 90% confident in the pics.

My brother purchased...

My brother purchased 'as is' furniture in the store. The furniture was delivered in different condition. The furniture had been damaged after purchase in the show room and before delivery. He notified them with 20 minutes, requested they take it back and give him a credit and he would purchase something else. They are refusing saying it is an 'as is' sale. Yes, 'as is' when purchased in the show room. They have an obligation to delivery the furniture in the condition it was on the show room. 'As is' as interpreted by Farmer's Furniture seems to be they can deliver furniture in any condition and the customer has to accept it. My brother requested a very reasonable resolution. He wanted them to pick up the damaged furniture and give him a credit for $1200 to be spent on their store. Their response was 'screw you.' I'll make sure everyone I know hears about this.

Bedroom Furniture

We purchased a bedroom suite from Farmers Furniture in Ellijay,Ga. Had a very good experience the people was very friendly and easy to work with.Great service with Elaine. The delivery people were polite and great service. They will see us in the future.
