Zinus' low profile 5'' box spring is perfect for those that want a lower, more streamlined sleeping surface. From the outside, it looks very similar to an older, more traditional box spring with coils and wood framing. However, this box spring's insides are made of sturdy steel that is perfect for newer mattresses that prefer a firm foundation.

Set-up with the Zinus 5'' Low Profile Box Spring is a bit more intensive than their other box spring. The assembly is straightfoward and reviewers say it is very easy. You must bolt the metal pieces to one another to create the box spring (with included allen wrench) and then stretch the fabric cover over the metal frame. All in all, the process takes between 10 - 20 minutes and only requires one person.

Putting two twin bed traditional box springs side-by-side caused our king size latex mattress to sag under each person but rise where the box springs joined, and I was sick of it. I thought I would have to buy a new platform bed to get the even support I wanted. I noticed this product and decided to try it, especially since the return policy made it easy if it didn't work out.
The construction process was easy, right up to putting on the cover. The instructions were all visual—nothing written—so I mixed up the orientation of the cover and initially thought I'd gotten one that was too short to fit. It wasn't until I totally failed at stretching it with all my strength that I realized I may need to rotate it and sure enough that worked. I felt a little dumb but then again the instructions should have made it completely obvious.
I'm actually really surprised at how good our sleep has been. No bowing, creaking, or ridging. Way way better than the box springs and now I don't have to buy a new bed immediately. Well worth the cost.
Great Product
Easy to unpack and assembly was easy. The little things that are a plus, is that they put small amount of padding, so metal does not touch metal. I can't believe there is no noise, I'm jealous, purchased this for guest bedroom. Now will have to order Ca King for our room with creaking wood box spring. Love this product! Thanks Zinus

Strong frame, that made bed stable and comfortable
The boxspring is perfect!
This boxspring is perfect! My husband and I prefer our bed to be lower to the ground and this made it the perfect height! Plus he said it was easy to put together, I think it took him just about 30 minutes. I also like that you can take it apart so its easier to transport when moving.
Easy Assembly...
The product arrived on time & it was easy to assemble. One of the frame corner was dented but not too much to affect its assembly. Over all I'm happy with it and quality of the product is great!!
