Instead of them being on the inside they were on the finished side. Luckily it didnt prevent me from putting the bed together, but it took extra time to firgure out how to best put the bed together. Aside from that, one of my finishing pieces came broken, but getting the bed up the stairs and assembled was a pain so Iâve decided to just glue it back on. If you order this without messed up parts, its a really good deal. With lots of neat storage underneath Unfortunately I wasnt on of the lucky ones!
Vey nice Bed . I ordered it for my two girls they share the same bedroom. It took me 1:40minuted to put together .I will be ordering more, I liked it because itâs a platform and I do not have clean underneath the bed .

My daughter and friend put it together their teenagers so it must have been rather easy. I've laid in her bed and it's real sturdy and nice. I like it better than the old frames. I would recommend this to anyone.
holes were not aligned properly and on boarder edges did not meet seamlessly
It seemed fine at first but the first time I tried to move it so I could fit a desk in my room it snapped into little shards. Now it has to sit against the wall and it's held together by the little pieces there to keep it centered on the platform. I don't have the energy to haul it to the dumpster which is the only reason it's even still here. Cheaply made like most things Walmart sells. But if you keep it in mind and you handle it with kid gloves it'll be fine for you until it's time to move. It would also probably be better on a surface other than carpet so it can slide easily.
One part came with scratches, is easy to assemble and look pretty.

Yes the package is heavy but once all the pieces were out it was fine, and it was pretty easy putting together and moving it wasnât too bad for just 2 people. At first my husband and I were a little confused but once you figure out the first step it all makes sense. I looked on other sites to see which one was cheaper since it is for my 5 year old and I wasnât trying to spend an arm and a leg for something he will grow out of and Walmart was the cheapest, I donât think he will grow out of this full size bed for a while. Itâs very modern and rustic at the same time. Happy customer!! Buy the bed... you wonât be disappointed!

The frame has a crack of about six inches. It. Arrived in that condition.
This Bed Platform was shipped to our home by Fed Ex. There was one spot on the trim for the left side of the bed, near head of the bed with a gash in it. That could have been from shipping. There was also poor line up when it came to the trim that is for design/looks. Everything else lined up fine, all but the trim for the right side of the bed at the foot of the bed. That was an issue with manufacturing. Really we could have left the trim off and it still would have served it's purpose. We got it just to have a better frame than the metal ones. This one works perfectly. I was just disappointed at the 2 defects in it and it actually had quite a bit of weight to it. We could have returned it but this weighs 120 lbs. It would have been more of a hassle to return or exchange. I didn't see a place where you can order or exchange to get replacement parts or we would do that.
Judging from all of the reviews I was not sure what to expect from this bed because the reviews were all over the place. What I can tell you is that when you first assemble this bed surface area of the particle board gives off a extremely harsh chemical smell. It was so bad that I ended up painting over it with a primer and a sealer which did make it more bearable. The overall quality of the bed is cheap. With the particle board it works as a bed frame for a adult but don't have your kids jump on it as it mike break the fragile planks. I do like the way it looks which is the main reason I bought it, but overall I would give it a 3 out of 5. The setup was extremely easy once you look at the instructions. As for the people who say they painted the wrong sides of the planks they are wrong, if you look closely its so that the headboard that would be pushed against the wall would not be visible while the inner board would be. It is heavy and requires 2 people to move the box but I was able to assemble the bed by myself. I would recommend using a power tools though as it makes the process faster. Lights are not included.
The platform bed is solid. It has held up over 400lbs of kids (everyone piling on) just fine. The bed doesn't move or squeak which makes for a solid night's sleep. We paired it with the Mainstays 8" Memory Foam Mattress, and we are absolutely pleased with it. It was easy enough to assemble with one person.
After debating for quite some time, I decided to buy this bed (I bought just the bed, no headboard). I liked the features and the price, but I was a little apprehensive because of some bad reviews. I'm glad I bought it, because it is a really good bed. However... I'm only giving it 4 stars because there are a some minor problems that made putting it together a little more difficult than it should have been. (1) The box is SUPER heavy, so I literally had to tear the box open in the front room and carry the bed into my bedroom piece-by-piece. (2) The boards and planks are marked VERY lightly and it is hard to see which letter is which-- it took me forever to get them all sorted. (3) Some of the holes were not properly aligned; my best guy friend helped me put it together, and he had to improvise in a few places because of this. (4) To get the molding in place, you have to screw in some of the bolts in an UPWARD direction from under the bed frame-- since the bed is less than one foot off the ground, this is a major pain in the rear end. (5) The planks for the platform were NOT even; it's not a big difference, but some are an inch or so longer than others. Once the molding and mattress is on you can't tell, though. Overall, this is a good bed and it is a great deal. Just make sure you have a really good set of screwdrivers, plenty of space, and someone to help you put it together.
I ordered this bed for my 9 year old daughter. While the assembly took somewhat longer than the 40 minutes the instructions indicated (there were no words at ALL in the instructions, making it more difficult to assemble than other stores who are notorious for their difficult instructions), it did go together before bedtime. Because it's a platform bed it's impossible for things to get stuffed under it, and the storage beneath it is perfect for out of season clothes. It's sturdy and she finds it very comfortable.
I bought this platform bed basically because the price was very good, and it was all I could fit into my budget. I was pleased that it arrived several days before expected delivery date. I was also surprised that the box it came in, though heavy was not very big. But all the pieces were there. I don't recommend this bed for anyone who does not have the time or the patience to assemble it. Luckily, my husband and son worked together on this and were able to set the bed up in around an hour or so. They actually enjoyed doing this project and when they were finished. not only did I love how the bed looked, so did they. The mattress fits perfectly on it. You can have your comforter hang over the edges of the bed or tuck the comforter under the mattress so you can see the beautiful black trim of the bed, that is how I like it. It really is a beautiful bed and my son loves it. I am extremely happy with this purchase. I do not have anything negative to say about this bed. It's perfect.
I bought the full size bed as a cheap and easy alternative to the traditional box spring, frame and mattress. I am a college student on a budget. The bed was a great price and I actually assembled it myself. My floors are tile so it was easy to just stand the boards up myself without someone holding it. HAVE IT MAILED TO YOUR HOUSE! This sucker was really heavy. I had help carrying it into my house. Putting it together is very tiring - definitely by myself. Even more exhausting if you follow the recommended hand screwing over a power screw driver. All in all, after about 2 good hours I built the bed and put my queen air mattress on top. I was going to order a memory foam mattress to put on top, but after finally off the floor, the air mattress didn't seem so bad. I actually bought a mattress topper and plan on using this air mattress for as long as I can. It's comfortable to me. I would prefer this method to any college student. This bed is stylish and goes well in my room.
The shipment was surprisingly fast. It came in 3 days. It looks very nice but it was such a hassle to assemble. I'm a pretty average bodied female and I carried the box and assembled the bed by myself. With mistakes and all, it took about 2.5 hours. I wanted to smash it once I was done out of frustration. Hopefully it stays up! ;)
Used one night, then it fell apart under the weight of a 130 lb 16 year old with normal use. Wasn't even manufactured properly, holes in wrong places, etc. Unless you really like particleboard jigsaw puzzles, it's not much of a bargain. You get what you pay for.
I'm not sure how/why there are so many glowing reviews for this product. The bed photographs well online but it's all cheap particle board and ill constructed. It took forever to put together the base of the bed because the pre-drilled nail holes were drilled incorrectly and didn't match up. We finally drilled our own holes into it but now the flat base boards of the bed didn't line up so we can't put on the side "rail" things. The predrilled holes were on the wrong side of one of the boards too; the laquer part of the board had the holes instead of the backside of it. Yes, the bed is up now but good thing it's only a guest bed so it won't be used often. If you buy this, be ready for a headache putting it together. Oh, also, the box it arrived in is extremely heavy. It took two of us to drag it in. Make sure you have a friend to help you at least move it in.

Was very disappointed in how cheaply this product was made. The assembly instructions seemed to have been written by a child. Also it's very low to the ground.
It is a simple design and it's nice, but I a rather large woman have broken it. I didn't plop or anything. I rested my knee on it as I reached across and the two middle boards snapped. If you sell something no ment for larger people it should say so in its product description or I would never had perchased this bed. I feel I waisted my money and my dads time putting it together. If you are more than 200lbs don't get this bed.
This would not have been difficult to assemble if ANY of the pre-drilled holes matched... but none did. And if you do not own a drill to make your own holes, the difficulty rises. This bed was for my 17-year old daughter who is majoring in engineering in high school and will continue in college. She was giddy about putting it together by herself. However, after about 2-hrs of sheer frustration, she had to call her 20-year old brother to come and help her. The bed is up - and for what I paid - it is worth it (assembled). Just know, it will take hours to set up, a drill and a lot of headache medication if you choose to buy this.
Nearly impossible to set up, way to low to the grown, the side that is supposed to be against the wall does not have the edge molding which does not leave any room for you to decide which way you want your bed to face in your room. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR PREGNANT WOMEN, ELDERLY OR ANYONE WITH BACK PROBLEMS as IT IS WAS TOO LOW TO THE GROUND making standing up difficult

Omg this bed is amazing its a must buy..first of all shipping was so fast..the most amazing thing is that the bed is so strong...it looks exactly like the picture...i ordered a queen size and i love it...this is one of my best purchase on walmart...i would definitely be recommending this bed to anyone the i forgot to mention the price is so amazing its so affordable also you dont have to pay much tax on it...i will be buying more of these bed soon..and i will be telling my friends and family about it so they can grab one too....Thank you walmart!
This bed is very sturdy and nice. Except the decorative balls on the posts have all fallen off...before the bed was completely assembled. Directions were very vague and all the screws were dumped out of the container so we had to figure out which ones went where as the sizes are similar and look nothing like the pics. A little common sense goes a long way when putting it together though. Could easily be done without the vague directions.
This bed came today. It's very nice (I love it), and it was super easy to assemble. I put it together in less than an hour. The price was excellent.It's worth buying , very good quality , easy installation , and beautiful, I am so happy to have it.The box is pretty heavy so be careful with that. Instructions are clear to follow and it's an easy installation. Looks really nice just like in the picture. It's very sturdy too. You can totally have lots of storage under. Recommended 100%!

I wanted a classy looking platform bed and chose this frame. Took me half an hour to build, and it feels pretty stable. I use it with Zinus 10 in icoil matress and it's been working great so far!
I am in love with how good this bed turned out. It is very sturdy. The instructions could have given better detail. I ended up taking it apart after the first step because I didn't have it facing the correct way, but it wasn't too difficult. One person could put it together, but it took two people one hour to put together.
Looks great ones put together. But there was a dent in one of the holes so the nuts that;s suppose to go in did not go in. Needs two people to put together. Otherwise the bed is perfect.

I was looking a queen size platform bedframe with metal slats. I came across this frame and liked the style and that it could be used without a box spring. This frame is far from durable, it is poorly construction and too flimsy. The 1st night I slept on it I noticed the mattress (TempurPedic) was sinking in and a couple of the slats had bent (see pic). According to the description, the weight capacity is 660 lbs, well I'm at least 200 lbs and it didn't hold up well at all. Need-less-to-say, I am quite disappointed with this bed. I wish I could return it, but I stuck with worthless piece of metal since I placed the cardboard box and packaging in the recycle bin the day after I put the bed together which this bedframe will wind up in the next pile of debris pickup.
Bed is firm and looks nice! Bought for my 11 yr old and shr loved it. The only cons I have are that the instructions were not too clear! Took us about an hour for that reason. Also the head board is not as high so it doesn't really stand out. Other than that I highly recommend it!
Horrible Bed. Pieces missing and the holes to screw to bed into place did not line up. You definitely do get what you pay for. Now I'm forced to disassemble the piece of crap and box it back up to send it back so I can get a refund, so this is now a 6 hour process. Complete waste of time, $$, and energy.
I recently bought this. This is such a great frame. It is easy to put together with the detailed step by step instructions. The instructions have pictures too which makes assembling easier. The frame itself is sturdy and comfortable. I am using it with an 8 inch thick mattress. The frame does not creak or make any noise while sitting or getting up or moving around in the bed. The metal slates ensure that the mattress stays firm and does not dip in the middle. I would highly recommend this frame!
I really like this bed. It has everything I needed to put it together. I have to admit, taking it out of the box and seeing how many pieces were inside, I was very intimidated. The instructions are a set of step by step pictures. Not many words. I took each piece out of the box and laid it out on the floor in the general area where it would go and when I was satisfied all the pieces were there, I got started and put this bed together in about an hour . I'll admit that I didn't pay attention to specific direction of a couple of the pieces and had to take a piece off and turn it around. But overall, this bed was not that hard to put together if you are very careful to follow the pictures exactly. The bed is good quality and very sturdy. I love that I did it by myself!
