The p5 bed is a soft mattress from Sleep Number that can be customized with the adjustable air support system within the mattress. It has a pillow top, which is desirable to many, but may not be best for heavier or stomach sleepers. Most found the p5 mattress comfortable, but some had issues with the durability.

We've had our Sleep Number p5 for about a month. We're still playing around with the settings but so far, we like how comfortable it is, and that we can each set our side for our preferences. The adjustable base is our favorite part of the whole set up, as it's so much more comfortable for reading or watching TV in bed.
Purchased because my old bed was on it's last leg. It was no longer providing much support, and had become down right uncomfortable. I am so happy with my new Sleep Number and the fact that I can adjust the firmness. The adjustable base is also a PLUS!!!!!
Every night a sleep night. Raised head & foot features are the best!
We bought our P5 about 3 years ago and were completely excited to finally get good nights rest and we still to this day cannot find our “sleep number” constantly adjusting each month. I like a softer side and my husband side is firm. I wake up with tingling hands and arms. Pinched neck. My husband tosses and turns all night and now has developed insomnia due to discomfort. It has really affected our lifestyle and health. We bought the bed on a “friends and family” discount from a friend of ours and were told the sale was nonrefundable and non transferable. It’s a shame we spent nearly $3k with everything and cannot exchange or return. Such a waste of money and we slept better on our former sealy plush innerspring. Too bad so sad. Lesson learned.
I bought this bed thinking it would finally give me a great night sleep. It was delivered while I was having emergency surgery and the deliver men were amazingly patient while my friends found a key to let them in. It would be more than a week in the hospital before getting to sleep in my new bed but it was worth the wait and I'm indeed sleeping finally after years of being disappointed in my mattress.
Before we got this bed we slept horribly. The P5 allows My wife and I to adjust our sides to our perfect firmness. This is the best bed that we’ve ever owned.
We have had the mattress 2 months now sleep much better love the sleep IQ feature well worth the money
This is my 3rd sleep # bed, and I would not have any other bed ! It is the most comfortable sleep you can have! The new features are great as well, and give us all kinds of info on how we are sleeping! I would recommend this bed to everyone !
Bought our bed in the summer. Best decision ever. Love our bed.
My wife and I purchased the p5 about a month ago and have been sleeping comfortably every night since. Not only is this a great bed, but a great investment as well.
Never slept better. When I set up my new sleep number bed I still had my old bed next to it. I adjusted the sleep number bed till both beds felt about the same to see what the "sleep number" of the old bed was. It was 85!!!
I've had this bed for about a month and it has made such a significant difference in my quality of sleep. When my alarm goes off in the morning I am ready to get up, instead of pressing snooze over and over again like I used to. I wake up rested and ready to start the day.
I purchased my sleep number bed a little over a month ago and it was the best thing that my daughter could have talked me into. I have some major health issues that just did not allow me to rest well. Let’s just say now I am sleeping through the night and a little later in the morning. I’m retired, I can get away with late mornings. I highly recommend a sleep numbers bed!
great that i can have a setting of 100/firm and wife's 40/soft.
Two main complaints. The Sleep IQ tech is not very good. Tracks sleep when I'm away on travel. Seems to primarily grade time spent in bed without regard to sleeplessness. Unable to edit in many cases. Nearly any activity tracker will do much better at tracking sleep. Additionally, sheets do not stay on the bed. You can not tuck the bottoms like you would on a traditional mattress. You would think there would be some kind of snap, button, velcro, or elastic used to keep them in place. As far as comfort goes though...10/10. Most comfortable bed I've ever had.
The best sleeping investment I’ve ever made. Nothing else compares!
