The IT Bed is an unquilted adjustable mattress model by Sleep Number, coming with smart technology, like sleep tracking. Its foam chamber technology is different than other Sleep Number beds and provides a medium firm sleep. Those that are looking for additional tracking with a lower price than Sleep Number are those interested in the bed. However, like other Sleep Number beds there may be durability issues.

IT bed is good but app needs improvement
We've been using the bed now for about a month. Took me a while to get to a setting that I am comfortable with. I use the iPhone app, and there are two ways to connect to the bed: cloud and bluetooth. Cloud is basically only useful for info on the bed - not to make adjustments. You need to use Bluetooth to more accurately control the bed. To inflate the bed, you must be out of the bed. The bed will then inflate to 100%. Then you can get in the bed and use the app to press "down" and reduce the pressure to your desired setting. Recommendation to app developers: You need to also have a "slider" on that screen so you can slide the firmness to where you want it, and let the controller release air to get to your desired setting, automatically. If you keep using the "down" arrow I advise you do it in a quiet room so that you can hear the controller releasing the air. Each "puff" from the controller is 5 units down on the pressure. (A slider would be way easier).
Quality: Bed seems to be made very well. I really like the soft ridged cover on the bed.
Shipping: The mattress comes in a rectangular box. You need to open the box and open the plastic wrapped mattress and then lay it flat for a while so that the mattress can self inflate. After this was done and we were setting up the bed we noticed the mattress cover on the bottom was torn. We will call customer service for a replacement.
Initial setup: download the app. plug everything in. App finds bed and syncs, then bed downloaded firmware update. When that is all done you can start using the bed controls from your phone.

Great bed
I bought this bed a month ago. When I got it was so easy to set up and ready within minutes. The only downside is that You have to get out of bed and raise it all the way to 100 and then get in it and stop when it feels comfortable versus being able to stay in it and raise it up and down. Even at 100 still soft enough and comfortable to sleep. Other than that it's super comfortable and I definitely get a better nights sleep. I will recommend this bed to anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money for a great sleep.
WOW!! What a difference.
I didn't realize how bad my old mattress was until I slept in my new Sleep Number IT bed. This is by far the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. If you decide to buy one there is a few things that you should know. First off, this mattress is simple to set up. DON'T pay someone to set it up unless you not familiar with a smart phone. Second, the sleep number setting in the store is going to be different with the IT bed. It seems like you have to have the numbers on the IT bed higher than what the floor models at the store. Third, when the instructions say that you have to remove everything off the bed to reset the firmness, that means everything including a comforter, pillows or tight sheets. This bed uses natural air pressure to reset. Getting the number just right took me about a week, and that was making changes on a daily basis. I don't suggest changing it to often after you find your number. As for the price and quality, your not going to find a much better deal. The quality is high and the price is low. I hope this review can help with your decision.
Great Features!
Easy to set up, from box to bed less than 30 minutes. Love that my smart phone operates and provides reports on my sleep habits. By making some small changes on my part has resulted in me being able to sleep sounder.

Many years ago I bought a pillowtop mattress and I really liked it, but my wife would say it was too soft. I started to research beds and came across the sleep number "it" bed. We both had fitbits and liked some of the sleep tracking features the bed had as well, but mainly we liked the idea that we could set our own firmness level. The bed was set up and after a few trials we came up with our own sleep number. This morning my wife asked me if I liked the bed and I said "sure" then she let me know that she had noticed that the bed had lessened her back pain and had noticed through her previous fitbit tracker as well as the "it" bed's sleep tracking app "sleep IQ"that she was getting a better night sleep. I am very glad that she likes the bed, feels better because of it and is getting a better night sleep...Happy Wife Happy Life.
Great but....,
The bed is excellent but the only complaint i have is the amount of time it takes to reinflate to 100. I wouldn't mind the amount of time it took if I didn't have to get out of the bed to do so. The bed is a little too low to the ground. It was a piece of cake to put together and it's extremely comfortable.
Simplicity meets innovation!
I love how easy this bed was to put together!!! Professional installation was not needed. When I ordered the it bed, I received an email with a video showing how to put the bed together. The video was very informative and easy to follow. I referred back to the video when I set-up the bed. If I set-up another bed I would not need to refer to the video because it is a simple process. The only thing the video didn't show was the ACT module being put back into the fabric pocket within the zippered mattress. The paper directions refer to the pocket though. The full sized bed came rolled inside one box. I was surprised the mattress fit in the box. I was able to set-up the bed by myself. I didn't need any assistance to carry the bed to my bedroom, like I would with a traditional mattress. I also didn't need any help setting up the it bed, like I would with other Sleep Number beds. One of the drawbacks about the it bed is it doesn't come with a remote, you have to register for the SleepIQ app. It would be nice to have the option to purchase a remote if you are not interested in a the bells & whistles of the app. The app does have the ability to connect your Fit Bit, Nest and other health related apps. The other drawback is you have to get out of the bed if you are increasing the firmness. Not a big deal if you don't change your Sleep # often or remember to increase the firmness before you get in bed. If you want to decrease the firmness you must be in the bed. I didn't take any stars off because of the drawbacks because they aren't a big deal, but they are different than the other Sleep Number beds. Overall it's a very comfortable and innovative bed.

Received this bed last week. Very comfortable. Was very easy to set everything up. Took about 10 minutes. Loving it.
