Though I've only had this mattress a short time, it is by far the most comfortable mattress I have ever had. I have slept on water beds, another foam mattress from a competitor, and regular mattresses from several different competitors. This Avesta beats them all.

This bed was just what we wanted. No tumbling around every time someone moves, stays cool as promised, and it's nice and firm. We love it!
We like a fairly soft matress, this model is on the softer side. Slept on it as purchased for a couple of weeks. Felt great, but we wanted even softer so we got the 3 inch memory foam topper (in club $100). OMG so amazing together! Best sleep we ever had!
And...together we still spent less than 1/2 the cost of most mattresses.

Great bed, so far. Not quite two weeks of sleeping on it and so far, so good. Shipping took three weeks from order.
We have had the mattress for one month and still love it. The mattress is just firm enough and not too firm. We would definitely purchase it again. We were not sure which side should be up so I called Serta. They said that the soft side should be up and the mattress should be rotated every 90 days side to side. The white glove delivery was excellent and they removed the old mattress. We have not slept this well in years.
The delivery service was nice to have which included hauling away our old mattress. The Avesta II is firm, we like that the sleeping surface is smooth instead of being a woven pattern, and it is cooler to sleep on. Excellent!
Bought this during a great sale this summer. Just bought a new mattress online from another company and it hurt my back terribly. So, we decided to try Sam's. I needed a mattress that would "fill" the curve in my back to provide support. This one does that, it is a very pretty mattress and the cover material is very soft and a strong cloth. Mattress is somewhat firm(which my husband needs), but it "gives" enough, to mold to my body to provide great support!
I went to Sam's looking for a new Serta Perfect Sleeper for my guest room since I love mine in the master bedroom. Then I saw this mattress and tried it out in the store. It was so supportive yet conformed to my body. I had to buy it and I love it. For folks with neck and back issues-this is a keeper, plus the cost is reasonable.
I have only had this mattress for about 10 days but so far am very pleased with it. There was no off gassing. I was concerned about buying a mattress without getting a chance to try it and was worried that it would be too firm but it's not hard at all, just supportive.
Great firm bed, I absolutely love it and surprisingly my wife does as well which she wasn't too fond of it at the store but got it for me since I have buldges, tears and nerve damage in my lower back. I'd recommend getting a solid frame since the bed is heavier than a typical spring mattress. 10/10 would recommend

I ordered a mattress along with several sheet sets in early August. The sheets are great but the mattress is a disaster!!!! Took over 5 weeks to be delivered. The mattress appears clean and came wrapped in heavy plastic...but it smells AWFUL. I have aired it out in the sun for a day. I have sprayed it with Lysol Spray Disefectant. I have sprayed it with fabric freshener. It still smells AWFUL!! The bedroom and hallway are starting to take on this odor.
I can barely describe the odor as it is something unfamiliar to me. Maybe an old rusted truck or some sort of metallic odor is the best I can relate to the odor. I do not think it is even returnable since I have sprayed it with several solutions.
I bought this about three weeks ago, I tried to love it or even like it but I didn't . It was way too firm for my liking. I returned it and purchases another memory foam one that is much more plush and comfortable for me. This mattress is beautifully made and would last a long time because It's good quality but just too firm for me but if you love firm mattresses . This is your mattress otherwise purchase a homedics brand memory foam 12 inch one and you will love it. Happy sleeping!
