They use organic and plant based materials, which is an added bonus. The materials are good quality, though we were hoping for more technical advances for the kind of pricepoint.
The Real Sleep mattress comes with two foam comfort layers. Here are the complete details:
Cover Layer: The cover layer is made of 100% cotton so it is breathable and won't trap heat against the body.
Layer 2: The first comfort layer is made with the proprietary FloraFlex technology that contours around the body to remove pressure points while having a bit more responsiveness than memory foam.
Layer 3: The last layer is a thick layer of base foam that is highly resilient and supports the spine to relieve back pain and allow the body to fully relax.
Most customers agree that this mattress is very comfortable with its ability to keep cool even with warm sleepers. However, there are some (especially those with smaller body types) that may find this mattress too firm to their liking.

In spite of its firmness, the top softer layer may keep those that desire a very firm mattress from feeling comfortable with this mattress. It will do best for back sleeping and for those that are above in average size to do side sleeping.
There are some reviewers that have described this mattress as doing a good job with relieving back pain. These note the ability for the contouring top layer to hug the unsupported areas of the spine.
This mattress does a good job cooling versus the average memory foam mattress that doesn't have cooling technology. Most customers will find that it doesn't retain too much heat at night. There are some that may find that if they already sleep warm and have hot bedrooms there is some heat retention.
This mattress is best suited for someone that likes a firmer memory foam feel, similar to something with firmer TEMPUR material, but prefers alternative materials.
We have had many mattresses over our 39 years of marriage, including all name brands and even a Temper-pedic when they first came out. Problem with most is the heat that is generated. Friends and family had purchased Tuff & Needle and Casper and for the most part satisfied. We began our search a year ago and found Real Sleep mattress advertised in the Real Simple magazine. Really liked the fact that it was 100% made in USA and the Organic cotton cover, due to several allergies. It came in their easy to handle box and was easy to open and watch the mattress inflate magically. Two things I really like about this mattress, how easy it is to make the bed with sheets, because it is light weight and just easy enough for me to make a king size bed, compared to other mattresses. Secondly, NO HEAT generated at all that is super +++++. Both my husband & I like the sleep we get with this and the comfort. When I called the company to make inquires I was told no one has ever returned this product, We can see why. We would recommend this product to friends/family. Great purchase. I bought the Real Sleep mattress to replace a traditional innerspring mattress and box spring that I haven’t been sleeeping well on for months. I was a bit skeptical about buying a mattress online, especially since I didn’t know anyone personally with this mattress and had never slept on anything other than an innerspring. The mattress materials, manufacturing location and practices really got me interested. The 100 night guarantee, free shipping, and % off coupon really sold me. I had nothing to lose except for my morning backache! I’ve been sleeping so much better since the first night! Mattress was shipped promptly to my door, packaged well (but not excessively), looked beautiful and didn’t have any chemical or other “off” smells once out of the packaging. Love my new mattress! I thought I already had a comfortable bed, but was proven wrong by Real Sleep - it's super soft and dreamy as I sleep, but supportive enough to balance my bowl of cereal for a lazy morning in bed. Definitely recommend!

I have been so pleased with this mattress. I had been sleeping on a regular mattress for years and was finding recently that my quality of sleep was decreasing and I would frequently wake up with a sore neck and shoulders (not typical for me). My mattress was old enough that I needed to think about a new one. After doing some research I decided on Real Sleep. The customers service people I have spoken to have been very friendly and very helpful and I could not be happier with the mattress. I had virtually no adjustment period and everything about my sleep has improved. I'm both a side and back sleeper and both positions are still very comfortable with this mattress. Not too soft and not too firm. I will be buying a new bed in the fall and was using this mattress as a test run. After having the chance to sleep on it for a month, I have decided that I will be buying another Real Sleep mattress when I purchase my new bedroom furniture. Love the mattress.

We had a Tempur-Pedic and I could just not get comfortable. I work out a lot and I felt like I would wake up with a lot of pressure in my legs and back. From the first night this was so much better. Firm but soft. I couldn't believe how my body felt! I haven't slept like this in years!

The Real Sleep memory foam mattress is definitely different that the standard mattress I have been sleeping on for the last 12 years! The first night, I was concerned that I would have difficulty sleeping, since it felt so different. I was wrong! I had no difficulty falling asleep, and I didn't toss and turn like I usually did on my old mattress. The bed was super cool and comfortable, and the mattress conformed to my body when I slept on my side and on my stomach. I woke up feeling refreshed and rested, in a way I hadn't in years. They say it takes a while to get used to a different kind of mattress, but I only needed one night to become a convert.

This has definitely improved my ability to stay asleep throughout the night (a major issue I had before). The mattress moves with my body so I no longer wake up with aches and pains. I sleep on my side so I usually have major issues with my hips but with this mattress, that doesn't seem to be an issue any more. And because of the cooling technology I no longer wake up with night sweats! I would definitely recommend this anyone looking for a new mattress or looking to get a better night sleep.
This mattress is super comfortable and I can tell the difference. I thought it might take a while until I get adjusted to this mattress but my husband and I were so deep in sleep from the first night we used it. What makes me happier is that I don't get to feel when my husband turns from one side to another in the middle of the night.

This mattress was so easy, it practically set itself up. Easy to fit on the bed frame. The bed is soft but supportive and minimizes movement so I don't wake my partner up. We are so happy with this new mattress, we tossed our old one to the curb after the first night.

I was pretty skeptical that this Real Sleep mattress (queen) would be as comfortable as my expensive, store bought mattress. This thing is a home run! My wife and I found this mattress was far more comfortable and much cooler than what we currently have. I get really hot when I sleep so that was a huge determining factor for me. And... the fact that this thing showed up in a box on my door step meant I didn't have to borrow a truck or pay for or wait for delivery. Do yourself a favor and try it. I have never had a tempropedic like bed and WOW. I love my real sleep mattress. It has made falling asleep as easy as brushing my teeth.
It was very easy to set up my Real Sleep mattress. Opened the box and placed the mattress on top of the box spring and it expanded within minutes! It was so comfortable and soothing. My body was supported in every angle. I'm extremely happy with it and would highly recommend it!

Came in a box, weighing 70 lbs. Opened up to a nice big queen size mattress. Feels hard to the touch but memory foam is deceptively comfy. Stays cool to the touch. My only complaint is that fabric lining the mattress is thin and tore when I was pulling it from the box.
I was looking for a bed that would keep me cool so that I could sleep through the night. I am coming from a sleep number bed and I have been pleasantly surprised by the balance of support and cradling that this bed has given me - my neck and hips are very happy!

So easy to set up. In minutes the memory foam mattress expanded about 10 inches and was ready for use. I can attest to that as my husband took a nap on the mattress instantly! We typically are used to a pillow top � spring coil mattresses with a little bounce but this has no bounce. It is very supportive for the lower back which is where my husband and I experience low back pain. Now we wake up in the morning with less low back aches! The memory foam mattress is very soft and also very cool temperature wise � it does not produce any heat which makes for a comfortable night�s sleep!
