It has a 8'' profile and the distance between the slats is only 2.5'', which provides one of the most evenly distributed foundations of those that we reviewed. Additional Plushbeds Orthopedic Information

Set-up

Plushbeds Orthopedic foundation is one of the most difficult to set up because one has to assemble the wooden frame into place. This can take 20 - 40 minutes depending on the person, though most experienced it as a simple task.

Quality & Durability

The Plushbeds Orthopedic foundation has less room between its slats than competitors, which makes for better weight distribution. However, since it is a wooden frame (and only spec'd for 600lbs), those that are heavier and enjoy romantic activities that could strain the foundation may want to do additional research.

Noise

This foundation does not have any concerns about noise. To make sure that this remains quiet, make sure that the cover is in between any areas of potential friction.

What Mattresses are it Good For?

This is a solid foundation that is good for most mattresses. Make sure that the mattress warranty doesn't mention specific brand requirements for foundations. The close distance between the slats in this foundation should mean that it is approved by nearly all mattress warranties.

Mediocre

I ended up screwing all the slats down as they rattled and one end would rise when other end was pushed down. I realize this foundation is not made by Plushbeds, and needs to be easily shippped. With the extra screws, It gives nice support for the natural latex mattress.
