See More ScoresMattress Depot sells a variety of name-brand mattresses. Most customers have good things to say about Mattress Depot's customer service. However, for those looking for discounts, there are some that described being sold mattresses that were used or had light damage when they thought they were buying brand new mattresses. Make sure to clarify this with the salespeople before buying.
In terms of their selection, Mattress Depot has mostly name-brand mattresses being sold at their stores including mattresses from Simmons, Sealy, Restonic and Serta. These brands may not offer the kind of material value for your money because the materials are marked up by Mattress Depot and also the brand itself. For quality alternatives, See Our Top Rated Mattress Brands that sell online and ship direct to customers.
Mattress Depot sells a variety of name-brand mattresses across its stores. There are some reports that you can find both brand new and lightly used mattresses at these stores.
We'll go through Mattress Depot's options below so you can figure out which brand to look at more closely before going into the store. Here are the details:
Simmons: Simmons is well-known for its Beautyrest line. It also makes a lower priced Beauty Sleep line that is sold in Mattress Depot as well. These mattresses have a good range of firmness options and get good reviews for initial comfort. Some folks really like the pillow top varieties. However, these mattresses come with a catch. There are reports of durability issues for some sleepers over a short period.
Restonic: Restonic makes a variety of pocketed coil mattresses that are high profile and affordable versus alternatives. These mattresses get good reviews from customers overall, and have good quality versus some of the more popular brands. The only thing to note is that some had issues with durability.
Sealy: Sealy is another name-brand that gets good reception from customers initially for its Posturepedic line that focuses on spinal alignment and zoned support. These mattresses are predominantly hybrid (pocketed coil) options, but there were some that had problems with early sagging for these mattresses.
Serta: Serta is popular for their iComfort line that features both memory foam and pocketed coil options. Some of these mattresses get good feedback for initial comfort, but there were some complaints about durability.
Other Brands: There are also some discount brands offered at Mattress Depot. These mattresses may offer a good price, but usually make big sacrifices on quality and craftsmanship.
Many of these mattresses offer a good amount of initial comfort. However, over the long term, many of these mattresses have complaints about durability and sagging. Additionally, there were some that mentioned being delivered used or damaged mattresses. Take a look at Our Top Rated Mattress Brands for more options.
Mattress Depot does a good job selling a variety of firmness options for customers. The above graphic shows the kinds of range that you can expect to find. For those that are larger in body size, you'll want to get a mattress that is on the firmer end, while those that are lighter and side sleepers will want to find something that is softer.
Some of these mattresses, especially those with zoned support will alleviate pain and pressure points initially. This can be a big win for pocketed coil systems as well. That said, there are some reports of sagging in these mattresses, which could aggravate painpoints.
Overall, these mattresses do a decent job keeping things cool for most customers. However, for those that sleep very warm, you may want something that is specialized for additional cooling. See our top mattresses for warm sleepers for those that do the best job.
Mattress Depot mattresses are best for those that are looking for a name-brand mattress and want personalized service. Just beware that there are some that had mixed things to say on delivery. Great prices. Great service! Through in a free mattress protector because we offered to haul it ourselves. Shout out to the district manager who helped us. He was super awesome and knowledgeable. He didn't make us feel like we were just dollar bills. Even showed us the cheaper version of what we wanted.
Unless you have a loop and ultra violet lamp I would suggest to shop somewhere else. Mattress came unwrapped, with a big liquid stain right in the middle of the mattress, with dirty hand prints from the delivery people and small tears all around the mattress and box spring. Paid close to 2 grand for something that's supposed to be brand new. Shipping wasn't same day either, 3 days later.
Went to the store I showed the manager the conversations between me the actual owner and he said. "We dropped the ball on this one". I told him I wanted my money back. He said he couldn't do that because the mattress is still usable. Are you kidding me!. A brand new mattress is something that supposed to delivered fully covered. Something that's going to be close to you!. I don't want my 64 year old mother to sleep over some nasty stains that might potentially carry viruses so yeah be aware.
Their customer service drove me to seek mattress help from Pacific Furniture Gallery (right next door).
I visited the location in Lynnwood back when I lived in Snohomish County. In THAT store they seemed to want to help and I figured I should come to this location.
Upon arriving, we weren't greeted AT ALL. We started looking around and decided to lay on one of the mattresses. Well, that's when the guy decided to get up from his computer, yay! Anyway, he interrupted our own personal conversation to FINALLY half-ass greet us. Then without asking what brought us into the store or even ask if we needed help (which we did) he literally walked off to go back to his computer, without saying another word to us. Sooooo, I took my business elsewhere and had an extremely different outcome that made us question the worker at this company.
Thanks for not caring guys.
I was sold a used mattress and the store a s.center has not been able to fix things yet. I'm headed back down there today, making this the 4th trip to the store. I spent just shy of 3,000.00 only to end up with some ones returned used bed. Let's see where we end up today...
DO NOT SHOP HERE. I again had the worst experience ever in my life. The company claims that they sell high quality clearance mattresses but the one I received had a few rips on the bottom. I didn't realize it until we had our bed delivered a few days later.
when I talked to the district manager about it, he blamed me for not checking the mattress upon delivery instead of trying to make it right.
So I went back to get a different mattress because getting a full refund wasn't an option. I was informed by a sales associate that a box spring was included in the price (there is more story to this) And it's to be delivered on Monday between 10-2 pm.
On Monday, it was getting close to 2 pm, I still had not heard from them. So I called the store and the guy who answered the call informed me that they were supposed to deliver it this evening. He said it was his mistake that he wrote down the incorrect delivery time.
I still didn't hear any apologies, instead, he said " I gave you a free box spring". BTW, it is supposed to be already included in the price but he said he was told by M that it wasn't. (Again, two different sales associates saying two different things to a customer)
Upon delivery, I double checked the mattress and the box spring this time, sure enough there was a rip on the box spring. What makes me so frustrated about this company is that there is no quality control on their products before it gets delivered to a customer.
Save your money and go somewhere else where you can get a good customer service, respect, and product.
I would give 0 stars of I could. I came with my mother to the Tukwila store and a salesperson by the name Al helped me. I was thinking of downsizing from a king to a queen but still wasn't quite sure. I tried several mattresses and he was a born salesperson. He told me what mattress here had. And after much time I finally broke down and bought it. During this of course he had me on the adjustable frame and I fell in love although that was not my intent to purchase one. It was delivered the next day in two parts. The base came but they forgot my mattress and had to go back. I called my mom because I told her it didn't feellike the one I laid on. Yes I know that one was more broken in but it was so very stiff. She said look on the receipt and compare. There is no model listed. At that time I noticed on the receipt under the base 'no exchanges' what? I said that to my mom and she said he didn't say that to us. I woke up this morning and my body hurt so bad and I knew the size wasn't going to work so I called him. I'll be happy to exchange the bed for you to a king but you can't return the base. I said you didn't tell me that I just seen it on the receipt and that I can't return the bed. Al said I tell EVERYONE that. Yeah sure you do. Said I'd have to sell it or putin another room. I would NOT have purchased the base if I'd known that. Especially because I wasn't sure a queen would work. Do I look like I'm made of money! Horrid horrid place. Now I'm stuck with a bed that hurts and a Adjustable base I'm somehow supposed to sell. I should've gone somewhere else and not been swayed by this person. DO. NOT. DO. BUSINESS. WITH. THEM
Daniel, at Mattress Depot is awesome. He patiently helped us choose two beds, each one suited specifically to us.
He explained the differences in mattresses, mattress stores, checked my spine to make sure it was straight on the bed I liked, asked us questions about how we slept and encouraged us to take our time, to lie on different beds as long as we needed to. He never tried to up sell.
When I called him after we shopped to ask a question, he contacted the manufacturer and got back to me quickly.
He arranged for the beds to be delivered at our convenience and they came on time.
The two polite deliver men did an excellent job taking away the old beds and setting up the new ones.
I'd refer people here. You'll save money, leave happy, love the delivery people and your new bed. Thank you, Daniel.
Daniel was personable and helpful when we began our search. He helped give us the information we needed to choose a Latex mattress that would stand the test of time. He didn't try to sell us more than we needed or wanted. He helped get the delivery set up and stayed in good communication. We are very satisfied with having chosen Mattress Depot.
What a wonderful place to buy a mattress. Ross showed me all the choices and very patiently explained everything to me. He took my budget into consideration and never tried to upsell me. I made my purchase at a reasonable price and got a speedy delivery by a couple strong, caring guys.
A couple months later I upgraded to a better mattress and for a small fee, the delivery guys exchanged my mattresses and never touched a wall in the maze of my apartment.
Just recently, I added a gel foam infused topper and I am sleeping like a champ.
Thank you, Ross, for all your education and patient, friendly customer service.
NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE OR ANYBODY IN THIS LINE OF BUSINESSES.
They are a bunch of crooks and will not ever earn my business again (nor anybody that I will ever talk to about mattresses). Purchased a box spring and mattress from them on Sunday afternoon, took it home to find out that a) the bottom of the box spring had a small piece of torn fabric and b) that the box spring was too tall for the bed set I was installing. Nevermind the torn fabric because honestly I didn't care much about that but I simply didn't need it at that point.
Called and simply asked to refund it and was denied a refund of the money because THEIR team loaded it into my truck damaged and will not accept it back for a refund. Mind you, I was not the person to load it into the truck and they will not own up to their lack of good service and refund me the $50 I'm owed.
Anybody want an "unusable" box spring? I'll sell it to you for $50.
After a day shopping for mattresses, my wife and I finally made it to Mattress Depot USA (toot toot!) and were greeted by Kenn. We went over what type of sleepers we are and what type of mattress we were interested in, and were led to a mattress with the words "bamboo" stitched all across the top. We laid down on it and stayed for a good 5 or 10 minutes while Kenn told us more about the mattress. As it turns out, the springs were made locally in Tacoma, and the mattress itself was made even more locally in Sumner. About that time, we both decided that was the one. The mattress we bought was a queen size Prodigy mattress. It's a hybrid mattress, which means it has springs, memory foam, thick padding, and magic.
The mattress fit within our budget, and when we asked Kenn what mattress he owns, he smiled and said "the one you're buying'. We had no idea until we asked, and it wasn't the most expensive mattress in the store, which made us feel better that we weren't ever pressured into buying something we weren't interested in.
The best part? Kenn made it a point to make sure the mattress was delivered the very next day!
We would both recommend Mattress Depot USA when you're in the market for mattress, and we will be back when it comes time to buy another mattress when we get a bigger place!
These guys are great. I had to replace a bunch of furniture all at once - talk about expensive - so I was looking for the absolute best prices I could get, but also things I could live with for a long time. I tried a couple of mattress places but the prices were much higher than what I could manage just at that time.
Mattress Depot had a good selection, let me try things out, and I found a really nice mattress set at a great price. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at any time, and the sales guy was very attentive.
A year after my purchase, my daughter's bed needed to be replaced, and it was the same story - I tried to find something at a store closer to me with no luck - too expensive, unhelpful salespeople. She liked my mattress so we went back to mattress depot. The same sales guy was there and he remembered me when I came in! They no longer had my set available but were able to look up my purchase and help my daughter find something similar to my mattress. The price was right and they delivered the next day.
Went here today and got a brand new bed. The service was just over the top notch. I got help from a wonderful employee and he answered all the questions and helped me find the perfect bed. He checked to make sure my back was aligned and just really went out of his way to make sure I got the right bed and on that wouldn't hurt my back and was also good for me since I have asthma. He even made sure I got a mattress cover. So my bed comes a week from today and I am so excited. Right now I sleep in my recliner. Which since I have been sick is perfect but I will be feeling better and will need a bed. He was very helpful. My daddy and I were greeted right away as soon as we walked into the store. He stayed with us the entire time and was really nice the other employee was really nice as well. They are also Seattle Seahawks fans just like we are. That's Hawktastic!!
Fantastic experience! Manager was knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. I haven't received the set yet, but I am confident of there is a problem, he will be there for me. I would recommend them highly.
I give these guys a five star rating for their service and for their quality and always working with me to get me the best deal and the best price for the mattress I want.
I am a forever customer to this location specifically because of well they took care of me three years ago when I left my abusive marriage. I literally slept in the floor of my new place because I ran and left everything behind only taking my personal belongings and my kids. When the sales person heard I slept on the floor, he went above and beyond to make sure I had my mattress the same day. That meant more to me than anything that someone was taking care of me. That was in 2013. Now three years later, I am back and getting the same amazing service! You will forever be my mattress store.
The guy working there was very friendly, and was willing to help my mother in any way. He tied the mattress to the top of the car for us, and is having someone come pick up the old mattress from our house, so we don't have to worry about disposing it. I would recommend this store to anybody looking to buy a new mattress.
Walked into three different stores today, trying to find a full size bed that was within my budget but also had the features I needed (pillow top, relative plushness). Finally I stepped into Mattress Depot USA and was helped by Joshua Nilsen. Joshua showed me the variety of models, gave me a nice demo of the adjustable platform and made sure to suggest all the different options available to me while listening to and understanding what I needed. I told him my price range and he showed me a few different models. I found one which was perfect.
It was also a great price!! Joshua helped me pick out the mattress pad and an amazing bed platform that is stronger than any box spring. Paid for it all and made arrangements for delivery in under 30 minutes. I can't recommend this place enough -- great prices, great selection, great service. I had never set foot in Mattress Depot before but I am definitely coming back again and again after my great experience!!! Got a mattress, frame, and pad for a great price!
Great service, cheap price for a top of the line mattress. Can not even come close to it's competition. We went to the puyallup store. Delivery guys very polite.
What a great buying experience, not only did we get a great deal but the customer service from Joshua Nilsen was excellent. Definitely the place to go for a top quality mattress and no pressure buying experience.
My husband and I have been having problems sleeping, waking up sore. We knew we needed a new bed. But we have put off shopping for one because our last mattress buying experience wasn't good.
We finally broke down and found ourselves at the Mattress Depot located in Federal Way. We had no idea what we needed but knew we needed help, good help. Upon entering the store we were immediately greeted by Joshua (my new best friend). He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel like he understood our wants, needs, and concerns. He asked us a multitude of questions to evaluate our personal sleep needs. We were very indecisive. Joshua was able to direct us to several different beds that fit our wants. He has the patience of a saint to be able to help me, I had tons of questions that he was able to answer without hesitation. I could tell he'd done his homework and knew a lot about the products he was selling.
Hats off to Mattress Depot for having such helpful and well informed staff.
I plan on singing his praises to all my family and friends. Because of his tutelage I feel we were able to make the right decision on a great bed that will last for many years (20 year warranty) to come.
My wife and I were in the need of replacing our queen mattress. We did some research online, asked friends and family for recommendations, etc. In the end, we ended up checking out Mattress Depot because it was next to our Costco and we've also seen the sign spinner frequently.
We (my pregnant wife, 3 young girls) went in on a Sunday afternoon. We didn't really have an idea of what we wanted other than it needed to be more firm than our old queen. The sales person, Michael, was welcoming and around to answer all of our questions-- but was not hovering or pushy. Michael was very personable as well which made the process a little more fun than I anticipated. My wife and I spent about 45 minutes lying on various mattresses for comparison and to see how we felt after some time on them. Unfortunately, the kids didn't really behave and were running around the store and playing on every single bed.
With family coming in to visit for a couple months we wanted to make our purchase sooner than later. I let Michael know and we got the paperwork and delivery arranged in a few minutes. He also asked if we wanted to buy a mattress protector and I declined, explaining that I planned on buying one on Amazon because they were cheaper. With that, he offered to match the price and I accepted.
Mattress Depot USA has been called out a lot for selling "second mattresses" or something along those lines. I wasn't aware of that when we went in and nothing made it seem obvious, or how it might impact warranty. However, I overheard the sales person openly explaining all of this to another customer. In the end this didn't apply to us, we bought a Restonic mattress that was new and warranted for 20 years. Only some of their mattresses are "second".
Delivery was scheduled for the next day (Monday) between 12pm and 3pm. At 1:21pm, Vincent gave me a call and let me know they'd be arriving around 2:00pm. They arrived at 1:55pm. The new mattress was put on our frame and old mattress removed. In and out within 10 minutes, and very polite.
All in all, great service end to end.
Me And my husband are not satisfied with our mattress right now we've had it for 4 years and the springs are coming out already and the bed is sinking on both sides of the bed. Also keep having to rotating the bed every week. Me and husband will never shop with you guys ever again
Great, pressure free customer service, reasonable prices and knowledgable staff. I worked with Ricky, the store manager, and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new mattress. He listened to me when I was describing what I wanted and asked me direct questions to find the right mattress for me. I was happy that he did not just point me to the most expensive option or try to up-sell me at all. He asked about our budget and worked around it. He also took the time to explain the different mattress "technologies" available. There was no pressure at all to buy right then, but with Ricky's help I ended up finding the best option for me in less than 15 minutes. Great experience overall!
Just had our adjustable bed & mattress delivered & I'm so happy we chose mattress depot USA! Doug & crew were super great. I would definitely recommend going here for a new bed first!
We loved the king mattress we purchased from this store last year. The sales person spent more than 2 hours with us. But this time when we went to the store, a different guy was there. He had a bad attitude. He was not interested in talking to us. We kept aksing questions about mattresses. He kept on ignoring us and went inside to answer the telephone. He kept on talking for more than 20 mins when we were wondering what to do. Finally, we decided to get out of the store. We loved this store once. But now we will never give business to this store.
I don't write a lot of reviews, but after shopping around, we felt that our buying experience was very good. Knowledgeable staff, no pressure. He even recommended less expensive alternatives in the similar class. I'd go back.
GREAT customer service . I have been researching mattresses for a few months due to the typical changes of aging . Yes aging , a young 52 in mind but the whole body thing is so different . The unpleasantness of waking up in pain from arms being in pain from side sleeping , back pain , hip, restlessness and so on . I saw the signs of store clearance . I walked in and immediately what I thought I wanted was not even close to the comfort that I needed nor the price I could afford . I talked with Shane and an option I considered prior to my visit became my ideal bed. I laid on four separate mattresses . Three of them I felt the need for a nap . With the option of a nap I was like well I did not really sleep so maybe but no my snoring is so obnoxious I just relaxed . I had to leave without a purchase because I was unsure . There was not one bit of pressure to buy that day or the price would go up .I walked out with options and prices in hand and not the feeling of high pressure from a a sales person . ( thanks Shane ) I went back a week later and had another great experience of customer service ( thank you Steve ) and purchased my dream bed . The whole experience was great . I will write another review once I receive my new bed to tell you if it was a great dream or not . I can say that the customer service is no pressure for sure and you don't have to worry about being misled by your sales person being on commission to buy what you will lose sleep over to buy something that is above your price range . That would just defeat the purpose .
Easiest mattress purchase EVER! I needed to replace my too-soft mattress from almost 10 years ago and walked into Mattress Depot during a quick break from work. Doug greeted me instantly so it didn't seem overwhelming looking at all the mattresses. I informed him I needed a medium-firm mattress and he showed me several options while sharing LOTS of info about a few brands. I was finished within 20 minutes with an AMAZING new mattress getting delivered soon! Doug helped with a mattress cover too which I forgot to ask about. I strongly advise getting your new mattress from this company. Easy breezy!
Wonderful experience! Doug was excellent! We were looking for a mattress for an year. Finally we came here just to take a look. We were there at 6.45 pm - since we went there to take a look. But ended up buying a mattress. He showed us the exact mattress we wanted all our life. Even though it was shop closing time he showed us the mattress and made us feel the difference between the mattress'.His study about the mattress' is perfect. We have never enjoyed our sleep so much. Thank you Doug and Mattress Depot. A must go for mattress shopping!!
These people were SO beyond helpful and accommodating in helping me find a mattress. We shopped around a few different places, but nothing quite compared. The delivery couldn't have been easier either!
Went here after viewing Macy's mattresses to compare prices. The manager let us look around even though the store was closing in two minutes. All the prices were a lot cheaper than Macy's and they had more selection. The manager, Doug, was very informative and affable. Would recommend- this was my second time buying from MD and both were good experiences. We purchased a Restonic and he threw in a bunch of freebies including delivery.
Bottom line up front, I would never recommend Mattress Depot to anyone. If you do go there, be prepared. Can you say product switch? Not what we were lead to believe we were purchasing and received a substandard product from the one we were shown.
Here is our experience with Mattress Depot. My wife and I were shopping for an adjustable base for our mattress. We spent a great deal of time comparing different bases and found some good deals. The last place we checked was Mattress Depot in Lacey. The salesman that assisted us was named Jeff. We explained what we were looking for and that we had been shopping around for comparisons. He showed us a base that had most of what we wanted and let us know that it was $1500. We had seen a similar base at another store across the street that came out to be $1080 (pretax) with Mil discount, which I let Jeff know. Jeff looked for a minute like he was contemplating and said he could let us have this one for $1200 before tax with free delivery and set up and 20yr warranty. Although it was $120 more than the one across the street, it did come with a 20yr vs a 10yr warranty. We agreed to the deal and set everything up for delivery.
As they were setting the base up and I noticed that there were no USB plugs like I saw on the base in the store. I asked the guys that were setting it up if there were more parts for the USB. They told me this one didn't come with USB plugs. I asked them if they would mind holding on for a second while my wife called the store to see what was going on. They said it would be no problem, however normally when this happens they set up the bed anyway, and if the customer turns out to be correct they come back on a later day to swap them out.
When my wife spoke to Jeff on the phone, Jeff told her that, per her paperwork (which he filled out), she had actually bought the 2000 model which does not come with USB, not the 3000 model which does. My wife explained that we bought the one we were shown in the store whichever model that was. Jeff told her that the one in the store was a 3000 model not the 2000 which she had bought. After a few minutes of back and forth, my wife asked Jeff how we would know a 2000 vs a 3000 since nothing was ever said about models during the purchase and we had specifically asked about the USB. He simply kept say that she had bought the 2000. Long story short, the "2000" model is sitting here at my house because we had no choice.
Fast forward, we contacted Mattress Depot via the website. The District Manager, Herb, contact my wife very quickly! I wish that was the happy ending but... no. It appeared that he was more interested in Jeff being right then actually coming to a resolution and pretty much dismissing everything my wife said, in support of his salesperson. He informed her of the things that Jeff had told him about the transactions in the store. When my wife tried to tell him that what he was told was not true, he continued to tell her that the base she had bought was the 2000 not the 3000 as Jeff had explained to her previously. Herb told my wife that if we would have paid an additional $100 we could have had the one with the USB. She attempted to let him know we were lead to believe we had bought that one and that was the one we were shown. If we would have been told otherwise, we would have paid the extra for the one we wanted. It didn't make sense. He continued to be argumentative and at that point my wife realized that the discussion was actually going nowhere and let him know that the discussion had come to an end and there was no point in continuing.
In actuality, the base we "bought" (and still have) was the 2000 however the base we were lead to believe we bought was the 3000.
We have been shopping at several mattress stores, but didn't buy for a couple of reasons. The first was prices and the second was high-pressure sales people. It was worse than buying a used Car! Then, today, we came across this Mattress Depot. Our salesperson was Eric. We told him what we wanted and our price range. He showed us 3 that met our criteria. One was perfect. We bought it, a mattress cover and two pillows. Everything but the mattress was initiated by us, not Eric pressuring us to by more. It will be delivered tomorrow and we feel fantastic about the sopping/buying experience.
We shopped two other competitors before going into Mattress Depot. Eric, who is very knowledgeable about beds, helped us in our quest for the ideal mattress. Unfortunately, we purchased a memory foam mattress that turned out to be way too hard. Good news is that Eric made it easy to replace it with something much better (and softer). We're very happy with the new mattress and will definitely go back when it's time for a new bed.
After spending a full day of hunting for a mattress we decided to stop in this location because of the "sale" sign outside. We loved the large selection and the gentleman that helped us was VERY knowledgeable about pillows and mattresses. He found EXACTLY what we were looking for and supplied us with all of the items we needed! Even though the mattress we wanted wasn't at this location, he called around and found it for us and it was available for same day pick up! I highly recommend stopping at this store if you're looking for and new bed!!
I came in here yesterday looking for a twin mattress. Mattress shopping is new for me, I feel like the salesmen are like car sales. They always up sell. So I was prepared to say: one twin mattress please.
I walked in and noticed one sales person at the counter with two customers.
Hmm..... Maybe a 'hello, I will be with you in a few....'
Nope.
I walked around and found the mattress I was looking to price out. I spied another sales person, might have been a warehouse guy but they passed by me with not a word. I sat on a few mattresses and figured out what I needed. I walked back to the front of the store and the first sales person was still with the two ladies at the counter. It sounded like flirting and/ or normal conversation.... Nothing business related..... Still didn't acknowledge me.
OK, now I am walking out.
Bummer. Bought what I thought was a nice adjustable frame mattress here. Sale guy was friendly, we loved our mattress but the frame was garbage. Called within the first week of delivery because it was falling apart and super loud. Then after the first few days the motors stopped working completely. Took over a month for them to send a tech. Tech said the bed was defective and requested a return. They shipped me a new frame which took another month. Same problems with new frame. I called right away and have gotten nothing but the run around. We financed a bed we can't even use now. The owner basically told us to pound sand because they wouldn't do anything but send the same tech out. The manufacturer bed tech told me that they would pay the originally replacement. So it literally cost mattress depot nothing to do right by us. There websight clearly states a satisfaction guarantee. They do not stand by this at all
I needed an inexpensive queen sized mattress for my guest bedroom. I figured if we were to have guests, we didn't want them to stay long so I was not going to splurge. :)
Upon walking in, Robert the sales associate greeted me with enthusiasm. I told him what I was looking for and he gave me a few options within the price range I was shopping for. He explained the pros and cons about each mattress and I didn't feel "pushed" into buying, but I still couldn't decide on what I wanted (women are indecisive). Robert's patience was unbelievable! I left and went to 3 other mattress stores (waste of time) and in terms of value and quality this is the place! I always look up reviews on products and finally decided to go with the Restonic. Overall, I recommend this place for all buyers! Thanks Robert!
Awesome customer service, great prices, and quick delivery. I decided to take a look here after checking the prices online from competing mattress retailers around Southcenter mall. The major retailers were quite pricey and had gimmicky financing deals. I liked the simple no sales tax and low prices here instead.
Dave was great at giving us a look at all the options he had. He was not pushy and didn't have that car salesman persona. He was very approachable and knowledgeable. My wife and I were looking for a king sized mattress and found the one we wanted after lying on them. Dave knew the pros and cons of each mattress for different sleeping styles which helped us in picking the right one.
Delivery was very quick. Dave was able to call the delivery person and get ours delivered on the same day within a few hours of purchasing. The delivery took place at our residence, up a steep flight of stairs. They were in and out in 10 minutes. Awesome.
Got a great mattress for a killer price.
They even delivered same day, and threw in a free mattress protector.
Minus one star for general appeal at the store. It is a bit of a hole in the wall, but it's like shopping at an outlet. You're definitely not walking in to a Nordstrom of mattress stores. So if you care about shopping experience, and ambiance if you will - this is definitely not very exciting.
Minus another star because guy at the store said to just "throw the delivery guys 10 bucks" to set up the frame... Okay. (Thinking I would be throwing them a tip.) When they came, they asked me if I wanted them to set it up. I said sure, as I had ten bucks in cash for a tip. After they took literally 30 seconds to build the frame (I could have easily done it myself) they said it was twenty dollars for installation.... Well, I didn't have that much cash on me. And they wouldn't accept checks or credit cards for payment either. Had to wait until my husband got home to pay up... Lame.
I recommend if you are looking for a great deal on a mattress. Just build the frame yourself.
I just upgraded the lumpy full-size mattress that I've had since I was in 4th grade (that's 13 years of sleeping on that mattress). Needless to say, it was way past it's prime and it was time for me and my back to find something that suits us better! Added that my boyfriend and I just got a new townhouse- we decided to get a queen sized (adult size) bed!
I wanted to shop around to a few different mattress places so that I can get the best deal, I came to Mattress Depot in Tukwila first, found 2 mattresses that I really liked (Memory Foam and a Latex Mattress) and decided to check out the other places so that I am not impulsively buying such a big purchase. I really liked how the salesman (who I later found out was the regional manager that doesn't make any commission on the sale, though the store gets credit of course) because he wasn't pushy, he was really trying to tell me the differences and asked me what my needs were (what type of sleeper are we, do we get hot/cold, do we like it more firm etc). But the entire time it never felt like he was only talking to us to make the sale, it was more like he was giving us advice and genuinely helping us find the best mattress for us.
We went to a couple other Mattress places, two were a outlet and one was a brand name store (Sleep Country). The outlets- needless to say, after I found out they were either returns, or semi-defective, I left right away. The brand name store, was nice enough, the salesman was okay- he didn't offer up too much information and didn't actually spend too much time with us after he found out we were kind of browsing to find the best mattress for us. He didn't really try to give us advice or ask what our needs were, and I didn't really feel comfortable buying from him or the store, because all the other salesmen were just standing around the middle reception booth looking bored.
So, we went back to Mattress Depot a week later, and lucky for us, the regional manager was there again! (He rotates between his stores). We tested out the two that we had picked out again and decided on the Latex because it doesn't get as hot as the memory foam. We got free delivery (he threw that in for us because he said he remembered us when we first came in and he is happy we came back).
I only take off one star because the day that the mattress was getting delivered, they called to tell us they were running a couple hours late (which is okay because we just scheduled to have them come later at the time they said they could make it). But then they call an hour before the reschedule and said that they were outside out place with the mattress, and of course we weren't expecting them until an hour later so we weren't home! They said that was okay and that they would come back at the time they said before- but it was still a little frustrating. They really can't expect people to just wait at home all day on a Saturday...
Other then the delivery though, everything was great. We've had the mattress for about a month and it has finally been "broken in" and isn't as firm as it was when we first go it. They explained to us when we bought it that it takes about 30-40 days to break in a brand new mattress to how it's supposed to really feel. The first week was pretty awful because it was so hard, but it got increasingly better from there, and now it's like sleeping on clouds!
My mom was busy looking for a mattress to help her with her sleep problems. As a disabled elderly women it's hard to find something in her price point. David helped us out right away. Making sure we looked at the right bed and stayed away from the wrong ones. David made spending the money seem well worth it, for a great nights sleep.
Avoid their delivery service!
I got a new mattress. It was a good deal and I am pleased with the mattress. I am NOT pleased with the delivery however.
I got the mattress on Saturday and arranged to have it delivered the following Friday when I was off work. They were supposed to show up between 1 and 3pm. I paid extra to have my old set picked up. The salesman kept stressing that it was important that I was there between 1 & 3 or they would charge me another delivery fee. I had to sign a statement on the delivery form that I understood this policy.
I wrestled my old mattress out onto the front porch of my house did a couple of quick errands and came home about 11am. There were no missed calls or any messages on my phone.
I was waiting for them to show up and about 1:30 I get a call from the salesman that the delivery truck had broken down due to lack of maintenance earlier that morning and they were running about 3-4 hours late. They would deliver my bed tomorrow (4th of July). I told the salesman that this was not acceptable as my old bed was in the front yard and I had plans for the next day. Insert lots of grumbling about how they were running late and they didn't know when they would get to me. I told the salesman that my bed was in the front yard, I had no place to sit as I had moved all the furniture in the pathway into my living room and kitchen and I had the frame assembled in the bedroom and my old bed would not fit on the new frame. Fine. They would call me when they are about to arrive.
3:30 I get a call that they will be there shortly. Turns out that my bed was not even put on the delivery list for the day and the drivers had to go to the store to get it!
Not only was I lied to about what had happened but I was made to feel guilty by the salesman for HIS SCREW UP!!!
I will not buy from them again if they were the last mattress store on the face of the planet!
Not only was a lied to but
We went in to Mattress Depot looking for a new mattress, but not really sure what we wanted. Regardless of our commitment level, the salesman gave us his full attention and helped us find a great mattress while explaining the different options. We stated that we needed some time to research and think about our purchase. The salesman was completely understanding, wrote us a written quote and gave us his business card. We returned the next day and purchased the mattress, which we are extremely happy with. We actually went to a few other mattress stores and did not receive the same level of customer service. I've heard horror stories about shopping for mattresses and I'm happy to say that this was a positive experience. We did our research and are sure we got the best deal possible. The sale was low-pressure and focused on making sure we were comfortable and educated about the product and our options. We went and made the purchase late in the day, so our delivery was the next day and the delivery men were polite, professional, and on time. Overall, we were extremely satisfied, considering that purchasing a mattress is not a small purchase. When it comes time for a new mattress, we will go back to Mattress Depot.
This place is fantastic. Great deals on factory seconds - I've purchased two beds here and have saved THOUSANDS on what were only VERY slightly dinged beds - one had a black mark on the side that would be covered by a sheet anyway, and the other had no visible damage. Plus they'll throw great deals at you just because. I got free delivery without asking.
This is what you want in a store - other places, take note, THIS is how you keep a customer!
This place is a wonderful shopping experience - good prices and helpful sales staff that aren't pushy, but answer questions honestly. After researching the next bed to purchase, my husband thought we should take a look at Luxorpedic, which we understood to be pretty similar to Tempurpedic, but less expensive.
You know that ol' slogan - you get what you pay for! Well, I was wary, but after sleeping on our new Luxorpedic for the last couple weeks, I'm convinced it's one of the best investments we've ever made.
I'm sure this sounds like a paid advertisement, but I've been telling all my friends - I fall asleep faster, stay in the same position all night (no more tossing and turning) and wake up without aches and pains. I used to pop my neck and back consistently throughout the day, and am no longer doing that. I am sure my posture is also much improved.
The best part of shopping at Mattress Depot was the PROMPT delivery and setup. You know how deliveries are always scheduled in a large window of time? Well, the delivery guys actually showed up at the beginning of our window and set everything up fast and professionally.
Wonderful experience! The employees here are very knowledgeable, Nice and will work around your budget! Recommended to anyone who wants an awesome bed at a great price!
Their exchange policy is a joke. Sure you can exchange your mattress that was relatively cheap when you bought it, but now you have to pay four times as much for a marginally better mattress that would’ve only cost you two hundred dollars more at another store. But they don’t mention THAT when they tell you about their ‘exchange policy’ do they? Oh, no! That $1600 bed I wanted to get, now will cost me almost $4000! I can’t make this stuff up! These guys are shysters. Beware!
Price of 1300 was a joke. didnt know it at the time of course but this thing Restonic Opal Latex Mattress is absolutely junk after four years. Would NEVER shop at MD again.
Going to Mattress Depot was a very bad experience. I was there over an hour, never got a receipt because the guy could not figure out how to use the computer, I had to load the mattress myself, then got home and opened the shrink wrapped mattress and realized it was the wrong size. They had given a king instead of a queen. Still trying to work with them on picking up wrong mattress and getting the one I paid for. When I told them “ forget it” they said “all sales final”. DON’T GO
