Home Depot has jumped more into the mattress and furniture space over the last few years. Their most popular offerings are discount mattresses from both name-brand and budget brands with all major mattress design types -- latex, memory foam, and coil offerings.Customers have good things to say overall, but there were some complaints about durability and sagging for some brands. Also, there may be better deals for higher rated products to be found buying direct from brands online or taking a look at our list of top rated mattresses.
Quality of MaterialsHome Depot offers a wide selection of offerings. While there are some lower cost brands that have issues with durability, others are highly rated. These offer a good blend of support and material quality. Their top rated brand of this writing is Plushbeds (check current coupon buying direct (often lower prices than buying from Home Depot)). They use high quality materials and certified organic latex in some offerings.
We'll go through their full brand offering below and discuss how customers respond. Here are the details:
Plushbeds: Plushbeds offers high quality latex mattresses, with certified organic latex used in some models. The feel of these mattresses are more responsive than memory foam with a bounce that is natural to latex. With multiple firmness options, most customers have good experiences. But, the prices on Home Depot are sometimes much higher than buying direct. Get Current Plushbeds Online Deal.
Tempur-Pedic: Tempur-Pedic is well-known for their innovative memory foam mattresses. With their cooling TEMPUR-Breeze® being one of their most popular options and more cooling than ever, customers have good things to say overall about this brand. However, their prices are somewhat higher than competitive all-foam beds found elsewhere. Get Current Tempur-Pedic Online Deal.
Beautyrest: Beautyrest is another brand that offers some quality mattress options. They offer options with layers of foam and pocketed coils for support. They have a wide selection at Home Depot, but there are some complaints about durability and price value for the prices at Home Depot. Get Current Beautyrest Online Deal.
King Koil: King Koil is known for their high profile designs, that offer pocketed spring support systems. Home Depot's selection includes both affordable and more mid-grade options. Customers have good things to say overall, but there are some complaints about uneven feel and durability in some models.
Sealy: Home Depot has a wide range of Sealy mattresses available to purchase. Their Posturepedic design is ideal for those that are looking for coil mattresses with a focus on spine alignment. However, there are some complaints about durability with some options and also issues with price value in some cases. Those looking for a high value Sealy mattress may want to consider the Cocoon By Sealy offering.
Molecule: Molecule is a sports-focused mattress brand with sports celebrity endorsements. What's inside is foam focused design either in all-foam or pocket coil hybrid, with a special cooling layers with 'extreme open cell technology' for extra airflow. Customers have good things to say about this brand overall, but there are some concerns about price value and back support.
Other Brands: Home Depot also carries a wide variety of discount and lesser-known mattress brands, like Zinus, Lucid, Cool Gel, and Linenspa. Some of these mattresses are sold for less than $500 for a queen and feature foam and innerspring designs. While customers like the prices and these rank among the most sold options, there are some complaints about quality, with many complaints about feel and degrading comfort over time.
Overall Comfort
Home Depot has wide ranging options with some Plushbeds, Beautyrest, and Sealy options getting good initial comfort scores. However, their prices are somewhat higher than competitors and buying direct from brands as of this writing. Also, some of the budget brands get good initial comfort feedback but are less beloved over a few months by some customers.
FirmnessHome Depot offers a wide array of mattress choices with options that range from plush to very firm. Shoppers that are heavier or stomach sleepers may do best with firmer options with more support, while those that are side sleepers and slimmer in build may get the best out of a softer mattress.
Back Pain Relief
Some of these mattress brands, like Plushbeds and Beautyrest, have good ratings when it comes to mattress support, but there are some concerns about longevity with some models. Back discomfort may get worse if durability issues occur.
Cooling
Many mattresses offered at Home Depot do a good job with cooling. Some of the less expensive varieties may have increased issues at times. Look out for airy top layers, latex, and infused foams for added cooling on the surface layers.
Who Are Home Depot's Mattresses Right For?
Home Depot offers a wide selection, which is good for those that want to add on a mattress to a wider home project. However, there are some complaints about feel and durability. Also, their prices are sometimes higher than expected for some models. Take a look at our list of top rated mattresses for top rated alternatives.

I bought a queen and a king and for unknown reasons the queen is way more comfortable. I do not recommend the king (or queen) if it will be used every night, but it would be fine for a guest bedroom. I spent about 500 and I would not spend more!
I bought two of these for my kids, 8 and 11. The kids are extremely happy with their new beds.
I bought two of these for my kids, 8 and 11. The kids are extremely happy with their new beds. The top is memory foam giving it a soft pillow-top feel, but beneath is more firm and supportive. As an adult (~190 lbs) who likes a firmer mattress, I might find them a bit on the soft side, but honestly, I haven't tried sleeping on it, so I can't really say. I was anxious about ordering mattresses online, but remembered that I could return it to the store if I had a problem with it and being Sealy mattresses, had more confidence with ordering them this way. I doubt I would order a no-name brand online. Luckilly, everything worked out well and they're real happy. I expect these are the last mattresses we'll buy for them.

What a disappointment. I am sorry we bought this bed and donated our other bed.
You feel the springs
Paid $800 for this mattress. It really sucks. You feel the springs instantly. I would not recommend this to anyone. STAY AWAY
Great So Far
I've had this mattress for a couple of weeks so far and its been great! My neck pain has disappeared after years of it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I had to email Home Depot to find out when it was going to finally arrive. My delivery date was changed 3 times in a week and I couldn't keep missing time from work or make arrangements for someone to be home when it kept changing. The mattress itself is great!!
Not enough support. Too plush. I can feel the springs
Not enough support. Too plush. I can feel the springs through the padding layers. Feels very cheap, not worth the price. I should have chosen a more traditional mattress. Bed in a box is not for me. Might be good for children or teenagers.
After sleeping on this mattress for a couple of weeks, I have no complaints.
After sleeping on this mattress for a couple of weeks, I have no complaints. It is super comfortable, the right level of firmness for a stomach sleeper like myself, I get the support I need without the discomfort of the mattress being too firm. The box was a little damaged and was very heavy but, I found no issues with the mattress itself after unboxing it, and it inflated to the full size relatively quickly.
Just what I was looking for.
Just what I was looking for. I weigh quite a bit and this mattress is firm enough to take the weight without making a sink hole.

Its a memory foam bed with steel spring coils that you can feel when you reach underneath the memory foam part of the bed, nothing special at this price point. The top is very soft to the point where you lean on it, it sinks pretty easily. Haven’t had any back problems so far, decent bed for the special buy price. Box fits in the backseat of a compact car if you are picking up it up.

The mattress would have been much better if it was thicker. My son is a big boy.
Nice mattress. If I could, I would've given a 4.5
Nice mattress. If I could, I would've given a 4.5 stars - the foam layer on top makes it feel very plush (which I don't like too much) but when you lay down you realize it's definitely firmer than it feels. Still, I would have preferred it to be slightly firmer, but that could just be my preference.

There were so many comments about the packaging and also varying opinions about the quality so I was really hesitant about ordering this product. I am so glad that I did. I cannot believe the quality and comfort of this product for the price. It feels like a pillow top. I sleep on an $1800 mattress but could easily sleep on this. I am using it on bunk beds for spare guests which has included children and adults. Everyone agrees that is is very comfortable. I would definitely buy this product again.
Nice mattress.
Nice mattress. Looks great and is what, I feel, the perfect height for the top bunk of bunk bed used by my small children. Its kind of soft but kids love it. Price was great and delivery was quick.

Very poor quality. You just feel springs in it no softness. I would never buy them again
The Linenspa mattress...
The Linenspa mattress is too firm for me. I did not expect it to be too firm and uncomfortable. I had to buy a topper right away. I had a firm mattress but comfortable. I will not buy this brand again.

Does feel warmer than I had hoped but quite comfy, bouncy like an older days type of mattress even, which is pretty cool. Curious as to how long it may last so we will see. But a good mattress for sure minus the heat thing.
The mattress is way too bouncy.

The mattress came in a box double wrapped in air.
The mattress came in a box double wrapped in air tight packaging. Upon carefully removing the first layer of wrap the mattress was ready for careful cutting of the "shrink" wrap. Once the airtight second layer was cut into the mattress began expanding. The remaining packaging was quickly removed and the mattress expanded to its full size right away. The user reports that it was very comfortable to sleep on and that the mattress provides a great deal of support. I would consider it firm. I am very pleased with this purchase as it helped tremendously a needy person.
Comfortable yet questionable workmanship
Took two to three days to before it was comfortable. Quality of workmanship not at all up to the standard of previouse Sealy matteress and box springs we have had in the past. Sprinds sticking against the sides are very palpable and concerning that they will wear over a realitvy short time.
Great at FIRST
After 6 months my back started to ACHE. Too soft. They told me it was firmest model too. $1300.down. the drain
Seems to be comfortable
Just purchased the new mattress and box spring yesterday. Replaced a Stearns & Foster pillowtop. My husband and I prefer a firm mattress. My paperwork shows that I purchased a Sealy Copper II Firm queen mattress set. I don't find this model listed on your site though. I selected Hybrid-performance and hope that works.
