I saw a Fatboy bean bag chair and ordered one but also tried the ottoman for another chair. The ottoman size is perfect and the color is subtle with a slight sheen to it. Very good for houses with kids and animals. I use my bean bag Fatboy for a comfortable, easy to move chair in my bedroom. They are super tough and durable while at the same time attractive and comfortable. I'm going to try a brighter color next time for variety but the dark grey color for the ottoman and chair were perfect for me. This char is also surprisingly light and easy to move. On cleaning days I just throw it on the bed to move it out of the way.
This is a great bean bag. I have been using it for almost a month now and it works great. As some of the reviews point out here, it is slightly overpriced but worth it over the cheap copies that you can get for half the price. It fits two adults but not comfortably, maybe two kids, but two adults is too much of a stretch. Great for a single person though. Some reviews say it does not have enough beans inside but I find that misleading: you cannot have it full of beans, otherwise you won't "sink" when you sit on it. I find the amount of filling perfect to be comfortable.
This bag has popped open and spilled it's tiny styrofoam contents all over the floor on numerous occasions. Seriously frustrating. It took a minimum of 40 minutes to clean it up every time...( It takes up way more room than you think, but that is not a defect, just an FYI. ) it's cool for an office though.
I was very nervous about this purchase, because of how big everyone said it would be. They were not joking, this thing is very large - especially when you live in a very small (less than 900sqft) home. However, it is so versatile that the size hasn't been a problem. Some people said things like "you wouldn't want to lug this thing around the house," and I completely disagree. We've moved ours around a lot. It's light and easy to move. I had also been concerned about our cat destroying it, but as someone commented on my question, the fabric does not really entice her to claw at it, and when she did jump on it and started to slide, her claws wouldn't even grab on and she just kept sliding. I give it an A+ on quality, resistant material. There are some seating options with it that none of the advertisements or videos offered. I found my favorite option through a different company offering a similar style of bean bag. You stand it upright, get all the beads in the bottom as you can, tuck one corner at the bottom under the bag, and tuck the corner above that down into the center of the top of the bag. Hold up the back, top corner, and sit. It makes a tear-drop shape that holds you up very well and is perfect. I have found tucking corners in when sitting on it really helps give structure when I get settled in. I also bought it mostly to be used as a "whole room" ottoman. It's big enough that we can "fold" it in half "hamburger style" and shift the beads evenly to each half and it sits up perfectly as an ottoman for several different seats in our living room. I didn't see anywhere where someone was using it for an ottoman. Thankfully it's such an intuitive thing to work with, you can play with it just a little and figure out how to use it to suit your preferences. I give this product 5 stars for quality, versatility, comfort, and style. It's a great product and the price I paid (~$200) was just right for such a unique, versatile piece.
The 2 back legs on my Ikea couch recently broke off leaving me in need of something to sit on when watching TV/working on my laptop. I sat in one of these at a previous job so I decided to invest in a decent bean bag chair for once. I wasn't planning on writing on review, it does it's job and it does it well. Well, at least until tonight. I accidentally cut my hand while cutting some wire's and got a fair amount of blood on the middle of the chair. It was left like that and dried for the 1-2 hours I spent after bandaging my hand and taking care of another matter. Now then, the reason I am writing this review. I came back to the couch after the blood had soaked in and dried thinking "That's never coming out". So I rubbed pretty hard with my hand to at least try and dampen the 2 3" wide blood stains. They faded pretty well so I took a wet sponge and pressed pretty hard on the chair to clean them up; in less than 5 minutes they were 100% gone, with no discoloration. Looks like the day it arrived. Now that is what I call a good durable bean bag chair!
Absolutely amazing! This is one of the best if not thee best bean bag on the market. Pros: - It's huge enough for you to sleep on it. - The quality is incredible - Does not get dirt easily - Extremely durable - Very cushioning - Flexible (you can use it as a bed or chair) - Provides a lot of support when sitting on it Con: - If you have a small room this could take up a lot of space - Can be a little pricey but its worth it. The build quality is superb. Overall: I bought two Fatboys (one teal and one lime green). We used them for over 2 years and they still look and feel brand new. The foam beads have not been deformed nor have they lost their comfort. It truly is an amazing product and I would highly recommend them to anyone that want to buy an excellent quality bean bag. I know this is a little pricey, but it's completely worth it. Again, I have had them for two years and they have not ripped, lost form or comfort, and have gotten dirty.
Nicely made bean bag. We don't use it as much as we thought we would, though, so it takes up a lot of space for how much it gets used. Pet hair tends to gather around the bottom on our wood floor, but I would suspect that's the same with any nylon furniture.
It's huge. The fabric is easy to spot clean. I like that the fabric is rigid instead of stretchy. It allows me to configure the bag in different shapes: upright chair, reclining chair, day bed, etc. It's a little pricey, but the quality is great.
I first used this in Denmark. I used it to sleep on at night and seat during the day. I just love the style and comfort. The price isn't so bad either.
Love this for my 18mo to watch tv on - it is very sleek and modern and I love the finish - not too shiny but not too matte (and I hate hate microfiber!). It holds up well even though I'm sure he's gotten food on it but it looks brand new. The red is a beautiful red.
This is a great addition to the TV room. The kids use it for video games and I like it for a movie or football game. You can mold it support a lot of different positions and it's larger size and rugged material is so much nicer than the bean bags I remembered as a kid, a little large to move from room to room, but it is getting used in our house in preference over chairs or couches.
Quality materials unlike the knockoffs. Bought this with the Buggle Up which seems a bit smaller. I was surprised. But quality all the way with Fatboy. I would buy them again. Seems like this product will last. If you are very large I wouldn't recommend jumping on it, but small kids certainly could.
First, these things are huge!! Be prepared. The one issue I have is that the cover is not at all soft. It is very think and strong polyester type covering. It is durable for sure, but not super comfortable. All that plus a price much higher than others. All things considered, I am regretting buying 3 of them without trying one first.
This is a MUST for families especially! It has invited us to play more, cuddle more and the kids have a blast jumping, sliding and doing all sorts of things with them. I do love these because they are firm enough to make into a chair like support or to be flat like a futon. Very supportive for a bean bag. We ended up buying two because they are so great instead of another couch for our living room.
I bought this thinking it would be soft - something I could put in my office and take a nap in.. but the fabric is not soft at all - its that same type of fabric you'd find on a windbreaker, only thicker. I should have paid better attention to a couple other reviews which mentioned this as well. If this were microfiber, etc, I think it'd be perfect. Unfortunately its not soft and the material is "loud" when you move around (if that makes any sense). Other than that, the build quality appears to be great, and I could see this being good for a household with kids as the fabric seems tough. I like the product and can understand why others do as well, but it just doesn't fit my particular needs.
These are very very big. I ordered two for my girls bdays. They take up the whole room. So check the size and perhaps order one size down if you don't want it to take over your whole house!

This is a very uncomfortable bag chair. No matter where I sit on it all the "stuffing" pushes to the side, so that I am always sitting directly on the floor with no "stuffing" under my bottom. No, I do not weight much. It needs more stuffing. The fabric is a nice, sturdy nylon but the stuffing bunches up under you.
doesnt look anything like the picture. the beans in beanbag settle and it is like you are just sitting on the floor. very cheap looking and doesnt provide any support. not worth the asking price. sent it back.
The fabric is very stiff and uncomfortable, like stiff vinyl.
This is my second FatBoy - they are just unbeatable! Great as a seat, to lie on, or even if friends come over, for their kids to play on! Easy to clean!
Comfy for the posture, however, didn't like the feel of material, and the "noise". When I read or watch TV, I like to be quiet. While you sit or lay on this bag, you can heat every breath you take and it is annoying.
My kids really enjoy this bean bag, but due to its durable cover it's not quite as comfortable as our normal large suede bean bag (that is a pain to clean btw). It's a great addition to our living room and I don't regret buying it.
For the kids' room this big sturdy bean bag in a bright color is the perfect place to tumble and relax. Excellent quality.
These were great when I first came upon them a few years ago, but seems as though the filling is less than necessary to make the chairs to what they are meant to do. However after a quick call and a few emails, we were sent (free of charge) additional filler to make the Fatboys comfortable. Still not perfect though, they are a little on the expensive side to require this much follow up.
Very comfortable bean bag. Not sure if its worth what I paid for it , but I'm generally satisfied. It's chic enough to not bring down the look of a room , but it could stand a little more filling .

A lot of beanbags tend to be best used in a particular position but the Fatboy is a great all rounder given its size and durability. The bag itself is not made of cloth but nylon which should put up with a bit more punishment and be more resistant to stains and water (although I've not tested this aspect). Unless you are doing something crazy you won't get the feeling that this beanbag will explode spilling its beans in the general vicinity. After using this for a couple of weeks now I could honestly say that I could go to sleep in one of these beanbags as it is very comfortable and large enough for most adults. You'll not want to get out of the Fatboy once you are all comfy but therein lies perhaps the only drawback - it might be an exercise in itself to get out of it! Granted, this is one of the pricier beanbags on the market but the size and quality should see you through many years of use that should well offset the initial cost.

So - I just ordered one and for $200 was expecting a little more. The quality of the exterior is fine, but, for whatever reason mines not that filled up, I'm basically sitting on the ground instead of beans. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.
As advertised - no surprises.
I am so dissatisfied with this bean bag. First off, there is no where near enough stuffing/beans in it. If you sit on it when the bag is positioned so that the long side is on the floor (i.e. not standing up straight like in the picture), you will be sitting on the ground after you shift around a few times. Second, the cover is pretty close to what you would find on a discount baby pool. It's cheap, unattractive, and has a strong plastic smell. This product should cost about $40, not the $179 charged. I am returning this pronto.
Very happy with the purchase of this item for our finished basement. The quality is extremely good and it is very durable. I would prefer if the actual material were softer, though it is very strong and quite hard to stain as a result. The material is very tarp-like, which is not very comfortable directly on skin. Nonetheless, a blanket can be easily placed on it to make more comfortable. My kids, including a teenager and friends, are constantly jumping on it and I have no fear of it unreasonably tearing or breaking. Great product that I highly recommend.
We ordered it for our 8 year old daughter. It is pretty huge but she loves it. She can sit on it, lay in it and built it in different ways whatever she likes best that very moment. I can really recommend it.
Yeah the big Fatboys seem expensive. But man it's worth it. You can put 'em anywhere, lots of different ways to use them, and both adults and children love sitting on them. Simple as that. You will use this everyday.
The Fatboy is awesome! It's much bigger than I anticipated. My only complaint is that it does not provide much back support. Some photos made it look like you could sit on it and lean back, but that's really not the case.

I'm generally happy with these to complement a couch living room setup. I got two to just lay on top of each other, so it's one big rectangle to use as a daybed or comfy chair. They can also be arranged next to each other to sorta use as a bed if I have an extra guest over. I recommend this for anyone worried about the lack of filling. Would I pay list price (240+/each) for this? Probably not. Other items I'd consider would be the Arper Pix chairs, sometimes seen in office foyers, but likely much pricier.

I purchased the FatBoy after eyeing it for a while. It seems that many people I know own one and love it. I purchased "Olive" and in person it appears much darker and more like the color of an olive than what is shown online. Large and great quality, it looks easy enough to clean.
Great piece for my living room. As a gift i was looking for this for about a month and found it here for the right price.
Bought two of these for the man room. It's basically a glorified bean bag. It takes a lot of adjusting to get yourself comfortable in it, and it settles quickly. But once you've settled, it's not easy to adjust your position again without getting up and starting all over. And believe me, this thing is not that easy to get out of once you sit down and it swallows you up. Considering how much a Lovesac costs, this is still a pretty good deal if you like this kind of thing.

I bought this for our pool area outside, but after it rained the floor was completely stained. We can't get the color out of the stones no matter what we do. The same happened on our boat before where it stained the wooden floor. This product is definitely not suitable for outdoor use.
Great if you like spending quality time in the yard. I like to watch TV outside and this is my outdoor lounger. It is extremely comfortable and gives me something to look forward to at the end of a long day. I like that it has straps you can keep clipped for more back support or unclip to lay flat like a bed. It's very durable. I've had mine for about a year now and it's still going strong. I am a huge fan of the Fatboy brand and have their products all throughout my house and backyard!
We just bought a new house.... my husband now has his own "man cave". We came across the FATBOY bean bag furniture online. Once my husband saw the "Buggle-up" chairs he had to have them (4 of them) as a new addition to his "man cave". I have to say they are also very durable and easy to clean!!

There really is no comparison between this and the mental image that is typically portrayed when you hear bean-bag chair and this cavernous, high quality bag. it is literally MASSIVE and is constructed of obviously very high quality materials. I finally managed to fit the gigantic box into my vehicle, took it home and un-boxed it, and suddenly became the object of envy from everyone in the house, human and canine. everyone had to try it out. it is so comfortable that my son now 'needs' one for his birthday. The Fatboy is literally the ultimate bean bag chair!
good outdoors or in! when i first got it, i kept it inside and lounged on it to watch movies. then i moved it to my deck for parties and it's soooo nice to relax on in the sun. i stored it under a furniture cover, but the cover partially blew off during a storm. when i checked up on it, rain was just beading on top of the fabric! it was amazing. completely pristine. i just hope these don't stain easily because i want to get another one in a bright color.
Great product for chilling out and napping in the sun. Can fit on it with my feet hanging off the end from the knees down and I'm 6ft 190lbs. The Mrs can also squeeze on as well (5'7" 120 lbs). I keep it inside and use it outside as well. Going to take it camping / beach as well as I think it will be great for that.

Very nice beanbag. Material on beanbag is surprisingly stain resistant. Bag can be pounded into a variety of shapes, which is cool. Weirdly the bag did not come with any material explaining what shapes, etc. Would have liked a few ideas printed on the box or something. I think this one is double bagged as opposed to the regular fatboys-- this makes it easier to clean, but also makes it harder to hold its shape sadly.
Based on reviews, I avoided buying the dark blue (reviews indicated the color was more purple) and bought the lighter blue stonewashed bag instead. It's purple! There's nothing blue about this color, but my husband wants to keep it anyway. The quality of a Fatboy is excellent - all the grown men fight over this bean bag when lounging in front of the tv. Great product. Just wish they'd get the colors right.
I owned a few fatboys before. This one feels very saggy and empty. I think I will need to get extra filling. The stonewashed fabric looks a little more purple than dark blue, and feels like it will get stained easily. The outdoor fabric option is definitely more resistant.

Stupidly well made beanbags. Jump on them, throw them, feed them to your dogs, these will survive it. The cover itself has stained slightly, but that doesn't detract from the overall function

I also own a cordaroy's bean bag and I bought this one because I wanted something a little smaller and cheaper. I expected it to be soft like any other bean bag but it is not. The canvas covering is very thick canvas, which I don't mind because I expect it will hold up to my kids abuse. My problem is with the filling. I haven't opened it up yet but from using this bean bag it feels like it is filled with hard plastic pellets. This makes for a comfortable pseudo-chair but not a very comfortable bean bag. If you were to just flop down on this thing you might hurt yourself. I do like the cover so I am considering buying new filling and putting a softer material in there. The only problem is that this will increase the total cost and in that case I could have gotten a corduroys. Ah well, live and learn...
It's more comfortable than our leather couch. Can seat 2 people comfortably. Canvas cover is washable but you need a large washer–I washed it in our front loader and it came out looking great. Wish I would have bought black because the sand color collects dirt very quickly.
I ordered brown but they sent me another color without a notice. Also the material very hard and thick. I understand that the tickness is for protection but it is an indoor model and not comfortable at all.
