Essentia is a Canadian made mattress company that offers a variety of luxury natural and organic foam mattresses. Think latex, but with an interesting spin. Essentia has developed a new kind of latex-derivative that they have termed 'natural memory foam' that operates like memory foam, but is entirely naturally made from the milk from rubber trees. This process is expensive, which is reflected in the prices of the mattresses, but still is a must-look for those looking for an all-natural, comfy mattress.

Essentia has numerous certifications for organic materials and non-toxic materials including the GOTS organic standard, GOLS organic latex, and use GREENGUARD adhesives. These are high quality materials and are reflected in the high price of the mattresses. The mattress that is getting the most attention right now is their Stratami mattress. We'll go through what's inside this model and how it compares to the others. Here is what's inside:
Layer 1: The cotton cover is extremely soft and is removable for easy washing.
Layer 2: There is a thin liner that is contains the latex below and protects the layers from moving.
Layer 3: 3'' of organic latex foam provides pressure point relief while still being higher on the firmness scale than others.
Layer 4: 5'' of organic latex base foam provides firm support for back and stomach sleepers.
Most sleepers find Essentia's mattresses to be comfortable. Be careful selecting the right firmness level for your body type and sleeping preferences as they offer a variety of options.
Check out the scale above. It shows how each of Essentia's offerings stack up.
Essentia's mattresses should sleep cool for most sleepers since latex naturally diffuses heat. For those that are extremely warm sleepers, there may be some heat retention.
Essentia's mattresses are perfect for those who are looking for (and can afford) an all natural, organic all-foam mattress who like the feeling of memory foam but without the chemicals.
I did a great deal of research looking for a new mattress. I always wanted to try a memory foam mattress. Did a great deal of testing and ended up with the queen size Classic 8 in January 2017. I was buying this mattress for our spare room to test it out because my wife and I were looking for a mattress for our king size bed. I tried it the first night and felt it was one of the best sleeps Imhave had in years. No waking up to back pain or stiffness. I convinced my wife to try it and we have been sleeping in the spare room on the Classic 8 ever since. We have just ordered the Classic 8 for our king size bed. I have also been telling my friends if they are looking for a new mattress to try an Essentia mattress. Thanks Essentia!
It didn’t even occur to me how important sleeping on a natural mattress was until I learned about Essentia. I am now a proud owner of a Classic 8 and have no doubt my Essentia mattress is the reason I feel that much more replenished and ready to conquer the day each morning.
I just wanted to share with you how much longer i slept on Friday night according to my Fitbit. My first night sleeping on my new essentia mattress.....9 hrs 10 min! I usually average 4 - 6 hours including nap time!
From the moment I contacted essentia via phone, the customer care has been fantastic. All my questions and concerns were answered promptly & courteously. I was told there was an Essentia showroom nearby so my wife and I went to the Toronto store to test out the different models. The staff member (Paul) was very helpful and not at all pushy, nor did he put any pressure on us to buy a mattress. He just let us test out each mattress for as long as we wanted, and answered all our questions regarding the pros and cons of all makes and styles of mattresses. We decided on the Classic 8. It was delivered quickly and was easy to set up. So far we are very happy with our purchase. It is both firm and pressure relieving which is exactly what we were looking for. Since then we have ordered a Tatami twin bed for our young toddler son from the same store. Kelli, the salesperson we dealt with for that purchase was also very helpful and kind. Overall a truly great buying experience with both mattresses. Thanks Paul & Kelli!
It's now been 5 years and we still love our mattress. I recommended the classic 8 to my parents and they say it's the best sleep they've had. Just make sure to have a solid firm base. We initially started with box springs but once the fabric stretches out you can feel this with the mattress. We put plywood and it's been great and still breathable.
Finally we bought a classic 8, my only regret, that I WAITED so long! my wife was waking up with brutal backpain for years...with the classic 8 we saw immediate improvement...I too am sleeping much better, and better all the time! one of my best purchases to date.
I love my Classic 8 bed......it has a cooling effect which is important at this time in my life when I get "night sweats." It's the difference between sweating in a sticky polyester shirt and wearing a soft cotton shirt where you can breathe. I love the firmness, the natural smell and feel of the mattress. I don't live near a store, so I bought it without trying the mattress. The only downside is now I find it hard to sleep in other beds when I go away. I have such good sleeps on my Classic 8 Essentia bed.
Wow, wow, wow! This bed is out of this universe!! Within the first 10 minutes of laying down on this mattress when it arrived to my place, I knew this was the best purchase I've made. I could literally feel my body relaxing and decompressing and I can even lay flat on my back (something that I could never do before because of pressure on my lower back)! I felt like I was falling asleep at a spa. I encourage everyone to get invest in their health and happiness and get this bed. While it's hard to leave bed because it is so bliss, it is easier to get up in the morning because I feel so refreshed. Very happy!
Living far away from any store location, I was concerned about not being able to try before I buy. After reviewing alI the information available I was convinced this was the right choice for me and my family. It absolutely was, Essentia makes a wonderful organic product; relieving the majority of my husbands sleep woes. We will be returning customers! Thanks for representing your products in an accurate, clear and descriptive manner. A bedtime revolution, Thank you Essentia!
We love our essentia mattress and pillows. I was having such restless sleeps because of pressure on my shoulders and hips. Now the only thing that disturbs our sleep is our cat!
We love our Classic 8. Life changing. You will never want to sleep anywhere else again. I tell everybody I know, one of the best purchases I've ever made.
My husband and I are thrilled with the purchase of our Classic 8 mattress five months ago. We have never slept better! As a person who had a motorcycle accident two years ago and have struggled to sleep on my hips since... the Classic 8 has allowed me to get restful nights. The investment was well worth it! And as a bonus, we are comforted by the fact that we are not breathing in toxic fumes throughout our nights. Thank you Essentia!
We got the classic 8 mattress and comfort pillows from Essentia and we have never slept better! Thank you for the gift of sleep!!!
The classics 8 mattress (and ergo pillow) is the best ever to sleep on. So super comfortable! The product is natural and eco friendly. Couldn't ask for anything better. 10 stars!
Our Sales Associate was very helpful and very personable. She made our shopping experience very easy and stress free. The mattress arrived on time with some damage to the shipping box, but no damage to the mattress itself. Being our first organic memory foam mattress, it took some time to get used to sleeping on it but is definitely more supportive than our old spring mattress. There is little to no odor/off-gassing smells like other memory foam mattresses which was one of our biggest concerns with memory foam. Overall we are happy with our purchase and would recommend purchasing from Essentia. I wish they sold the water proof cover as well.
I love my Classic 8! It is so fabulous, I can't wait to crawl into bed at the end of the day. I recommend Essentia to anyone and everyone looking for a bed. I love that it is a natural option and there is no nasty toxic flame retardants on it. I will be an Essentia customer from now on! Even the experience of trying the mattresses in the Santa Monica showroom was a fun and relaxing experience.
We bought an Essentia mattress since I have an achy back and I liked the use of non-toxic natural materials. The Classic 8 was the right choice for us. We love it! Now that I'm pregnant and mainly sleep on one side at night, it is also great for absorbing pressure and not making me wake up with a numb side.
I cannot say enough about this product. I purchased the Classic 8 about 10 months ago...I have slept well ever since.
My husband & I bought a Classic 8 Essentia Mattress last year and couldn't be happier! We appreciated the no pressure sales approach while we laid down on every mattress in the store. It has given us a good night's sleep ever since. We have told all our friends. It seems many are displeased with the other brands as we were. Essentia rocks!
We are so pleased with our purchase of the Classic 8. It's a comfort to know we (and sometimes our children) are sleeping on a natural surface that does not offgas. My husband has also noticed that his hip doesn't hurt any more at night since we purchased our mattress. We will definitely buy the kids Essentia mattresses once they are ready to move into bigger beds.
I have never been able to sleep on my back, until my Classic 8. Now with my spine aligned, I feel better every morning. I also have trouble getting out of bed in the morning, because I am so comfortable. I have begun to start my work day before even leaving bed!
The classic 8 is amazing. We love our bed, we love to travel but we hate to leave our bed and we always miss it while we are gone. Back and sacrum pain are gone; no waking your sweetie when you get up. Treat yourself!!! Any bed by this company is bound to be incredible:))
We couldn't be happier with our bed!! It feels amazing and holds its shape like no other. Strongly recommend this product and looking forward to new ones bring designed!!! Thank you!!!
The Classic 8 changed my life. As someone with chronic pelvic and hip pain, I used to really struggle with sleeping and often felt more pain after waking up. I sleep soundly in my Essentia bed and am so comfortable - I never thought this would be possible!
We love our Classic 8! Very soothing and comforting for my husband's back. No more joint pain for me! Extremely important to me that it is all natural and made in Canada. Thank you!
I love this mattress. I first saw Essentia on at work on Dragons' Den, as I'm sure a lot of you did as well, and I checked it out. As a shift worker, my sleep patterns are all over the place, and as an already poor sleeper, this mattress has been a great help to my night life. I strongly recommend checking this company out. I few months after i purchased this mattress, they had a deal for 2 free pillows (with mattress purchase) and after i contacted them they were more than happy to let me in on the deal. Great company, great customer service.
Love my bed look forward to falling into it every night! it never sleeps hot always just perfect.this bed is simply indulgent.
I love my classic 8. I travel a lot and always look forward to coming home to sleep in my bed.
I have the best sleeps on my Classic 8. Never could imagined a bed could be this comfortable.
I experienced significant back pain with a previous spring mattress, and a couple years ago purchased a Tempurpedic. The mattress was awesome, I thought....My wife was experiencing serious chest pain after purchasing the mattress, and after doing some research discovered that Tempurpedic is constructed from petroleum, which links to heart pain. We were astonished and immediately went back to our lumpy mattress. I was discouraged because my back pain came back after using the memory foam and assumed there were no options for my wife. We eventually discovered Essentia, purchased a mattress and I'm oh so happy once again. My back pain has subsided, I sleep deeply each evening and my wife's chest pain has been eliminated. We also purchased two more Essential mattresses for our children.
This mattress is great! I was really nervous purchasing online since we have never been to a showroom. We wanted to go with the lower profile design and are so happy we did! Neither my husband or myself have had issues bottoming out, even when crawling on it (my husband is 195 lbs). The mattress is so comfy...the perfect amount of support and comfort. When mattress shopping at traditional stores, we always gravitated towards the medium feel...this was even better than any other options we had tried! Plus we didn't need to let it air out!!! There was little smell when it came out and we knew it was safe :) I am so relieved and satisfied...essentia found a new lifetime customer!!! If you're in the market for a new mattress and are looking for a more natural route, give them a try! All the reviews are true and this is really the best thing I've done for myself in a long time :)
My rating is based upon an experience that may not be typical but worth sharing (and considering). We searched and compared mattresses for several months. We returned to stores to keep trying the mattress for longer amounts of time. Essentia was a winner. We purchased an Energie Opus from the Seattle store. Now the bad part: The mattress had an odor. An odor we could not mitigate after trying everything recommended. The odor was not present in any of the mattresses we tried in the Essential Store. It was so bad we ended up sleeping in a downstairs bedroom and arranging a return to Canada. The pick up went smoothly but things ground to a halt. The commitment on the Essentia site (in writing) is a return of funds would take "up to 45 days". It has been over 50 days and several calls to the Customer Service Rep has generated promises that I would receive a call from Accounting. Nothing so far. No way to run a business.
I have a guest room and master Essentia mattress. Both cause low back and hip pain. I travel for work and subsequently noticed how much better I sleep when I'm on the road. Even my most budget conscious work related hotel spend has yielded better sleep than a night on my Essentia. While Essentia did replace my mattress for a different model what I really wanted was a refund. The new model caused even more pain than the previous. Essentia just does not support the low back naturally or effectively, perhaps worse yet is the pressure points. Today is the day I say I've had enough! This thing is going in the trash bin and I'm ordering from a competitor. I can't believe I spent 4k on a mattress that has caused me this much physical and metal pain.
I did extensive research before purchasing a mattress from Essentia. I was counselled to purchase a Classic 8, and am completely disappointed with it. The mattress is hard causes me to wake several times during the night due to discomfort and often with pins and needles from sleeping on the mattress. I sought advice from Essentia's customer service, which is just so bad. They take weeks to respond and do not help - the will NOT replace or exchange the mattress. The mattress did not off gas, but it is not at all worth the price point. Essentia falls short of being a luxury mattress and lacks any kind of professional customer service.
DON'T DO IT! — The Stratami Original Queen is not as firm as advertised, instead its soft and squishy. While waiting almost 30 days for the back ordered Stratami to arrive, visited the Santa Monica showroom to feel it out. Loved it. The showroom person said try it for 30 days, it takes time to get used to it. —It didn't. Purchased a wood frame foundation hoping it would help. —It didn't. Waited a long time for Customer Service to reply to phone calls and emails. Then received a denial to their 120 day guarantee because I purchased a sale priced Stratami through the TV show The View. Allowed 15 days for a refund to try and was responsible to return the mattress to the nearest showroom for a refund. — Anyone want to buy a 40 day old, undamaged Stratami mattress? LOL
When we bought the mattress through the Boca Raton store, after leaving three voicemails at the store without a call back. We had to hunt them down to place our order. We were then told it would be four to six weeks for delivery. Then, we received communication that there was a delay and to be patient. Then after múltiple attempts to get an updated delivery date, all of Essencia's replies have been vague and avoided committing to a date. Today marks over 9 weeks since we purchased the mattress and still do not have a delivery date. We were so excite to try this mattress yet the service has been very poor. Each time we reach out to them now vía email, they reply with vague responses about delivery yet avoid all the other points we highlight, for which we request a response. They are obviously not interested in customer service. For a Canadian brand wanting to grow within the United States, their emphasis on customer service is undervalued and they have completely missed the lesson on the lifetime value of a customer. Short sighted and have lost us.
this mattress worked perfect for 3 years after that it became so soft giving back pain contacted warranty team said for looks its good, we cant offer any support they are not even bothered about listening to issue.
we purchased a Dormeuse Queen mattress back in 2012. I never took the cover off because the zipper was on the bottom but when we did only to discover that the latex had cracked and was dipping in spots. We called and took photos and explained and after review they sent us a new mattress. The newer models have much improved; (this one is a bit firmer than our old one but just as comfortable ) including the zip off mattress cover on the top so you never have to lift it. I can't say enough good things about this company; you get what you pay for.
I want to make sure people who are looking for a mattress are aware of the nightmare we have gone through with the mattress company, Essentia. Newly weds in November 2018, my husband and I decided to make one of our first investments in a new mattress. In our attempts to go green, we found our about the Essentia Natural mattress though online searches. We found their local store in Santa Monica, CA and after a couple of hours of comparing their options we purchased their King Size "Classic" mattress. We were given 120 day satisfaction guarantee which gave us comfort with such what was a large investment for us. Within a couple of weeks of trying the mattress, we were both constantly reporting to each other that we had significant pain. For me, discomfort on beds wasn't so unusual, but for my husband it was highly unusual. We tried trouble- shooting with different pillows, but with in a few weeks it was obvious to both of us that we were both in pain from the mattress. We began the return process and that's when our nightmare also began. It was a month before the cover arrived to place the mattress in. Another month before the company acknowledged that they received and passed it in their inspection. It has now been four months and they have avoided and skirted paying us our credit of $3,677.23 (that the company controller has agreed they owe) despite being pursued by Bank of America and the CA Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Household Goods and Services . We know what our next step has to be and we are now working on informing the public of their breach of contract and the thievery we have endured.
I bought a mattress three years ago. Never thought to check the underside. I recently did and it was LOADED WITH MOLD!! Latex should never get mold. The company asked for my mold report and I gave it to them to show there was no mold in my house and asked for a full refund. They responded as if they had not read the report!! I have spoken to experts who clearly said that even if you do have mold in your house, latex should NEVER get mold. This is absolutely the most unethical company I have ever dealt with!
I like the product, but the customer support is impossible to reach. Good luck if you buy this mattress and need support.
Jacqueline is very knowledgeable, patient and helpful. She knows everything about her products and that is great! Made buying a mattress a great experience. Can't wait until my new bed arrive!
When I paid for the mattress, I was told delivery would happen in 2 weeks. I was then told after those 2 weeks that it would take over 6 weeks (and I still haven't received anything yet.) Moreover, they made no attempt to inform me of this - I had to solicit the information myself. So getting their orders delivered on time seems to be a big problem for them. When we're talking about a bed you need to sleep on, that's a big deal.
Understand that you are buying a product whose foam is at least 90% petroleum-based, with a few "green" materials added. Like most memory foam, it has a very strong odor, and the smell doesn't go away for months. It's no more or less comfortable than a mattress costing about $300 would be. I also see the same "postive" reviews, word-for-word on other review sites, which suggests shilling. Go to TrustPilot for more information about this.
We bought a Dormeuse King 4 years ago (we originally ordered a Dormeuse Fior but were afraid it might be too soft - the Dormeuse is rated 4.5 (Medium-Soft) or "Deep Contour" as Essentia calls it). Compared to a traditional spring or hybrid mattress it is far from medium-soft - if you have never slept on foam or latex beware - they feel much firmer. I wake up with my arms and shoulders asleep and pins and needles every night. The Dormeuse is part of the Wholebody Collection - the best and most expensive of Essentia’s collections. Essentia claims the Dormeuse is the "Top performing choice among athletes and wellness experts for accelerated recovery from stress, training and injury" - I have a bad back (2 degenerative discs) and have to admit that my back is much better when I get up in the morning than it was on our high-end spring mattress. Essentia claims the Wholebody Collection "Sleeps 7 Degrees Cooler" - 7 degrees cooler than what? It definitely sleeps much hotter than any spring mattress I have ever slept on. I actually find myself looking forward to some of the higher end hotels I am fortunate to stay at during business trips. I love the natural and organic components of Essentia's manufacturing process and their mattresses, but it has simply not delivered the quality of sleep and coolness that was hyped and that I paid a lot of money for.
Had an Essentia mattress picked out to order but when talking to the sales lady she convinced us a different mattress would be better suited for my husband and I. When it arrived it was very hard but we kept sleeping on it hoping it would get better. It didn’t. Eventually we requested a return and refund, the company picked up the mattress promptly but we had to email 6 weeks later requesting our refund again. Eventually we received the money only to realize they charged us $1000 to return the terrible product. $500 as a shipping/restocking fee which we were aware of plus another $500 for the “free gift” of sheets and pillows we didn’t order or want. If we had known that was going to be part of the deal we would have told them not to ship the “gift “ in the first place. Extremely irate at having wasted so much money only to be ripped off.
I purchased a Dormeuse mattress after listening to the owner, Jack, talk about his product on a podcast. 3 months and $5000 later, I can only say I've been very disappointed with Essentia. The mattress was HOT, uncomfortable, and it stank (just like a previous non-organic mattress I bought). The returns process is a hassle, and they charge you a very hefty fee. I would not recommend them or their mattresses as a result, and believe there are many other less-expensive mattress options that are just as good (and have better return policies if you don't find their hype to be true). I felt like I'd been scammed.
In September 2021 i got the best mattress I've ever had from Essentia. A Tatami single. I have MCS , multiple chemical sensitivity , and it's really important that the mattress not be toxic. The first one was perfect and still is. I love sleeping in that bed every night. The second one I got for my guestroom was the worst. The smell made me nauseous and gave me a headache. For 3 weeks before they finally took it away , while gaslighting me all the time and saying it was impossible to be toxic. Meanwhile 5 people with no allergies all confirmed it stank : of 'dry cleaning fluid, or 'javel' opinons differed on the type of smell but agreed it smelled. That bed contaminated all my spring clothes stored in the guestroom , impossible to wash out the chemicals after three weeks of penetration. It contaminated the room, I had to buy a very expensive special air cleaner just to be able to be in the room. The company , only 40 minutes away from where i live here in Montreal keeps telling me it needs to 'investigate ' before sending my refund. But from what I,ve read from other people , that refund will never come. They are apparently using false representation to say there is a trial period but there isn't. You just don't get your money back. I certainly haven't. Or your health or your peace of mind if you are at all chemically sensitive. what a shame. What a sham. A lottery, you might be lucky , or you might be ruined. By the way, I found the following on a mattress forum about Essentia and false advertising. i cannot vouch for its verity but it makes sense to me. FTC to mattress companies: Don't pad your green claims By: Lesley Fair | Jul 25, 2013 11:08AM TAGS: Clothing and Textiles Consumer Protection Advertising and Marketing Environmental Marketing Health Claims Endorsements If you or your clients make environmental marketing claims, don’t sleep on three actions the FTC just announcedagainst companies that sell mattresses. What's more, the pleadings in one case offer insights into a course of conduct advertisers should avoid in the use of seals and certifications. According the FTC’s lawsuit against Relief-Mart, based in Westlake Village, California, the company advertised its Biogreen memory foam mattresses without having its claims tucked in. Relief-Mart, which markets through its tempflow.com site, said the products don’t contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs), have no VOC off-gassing, and don’t have the smell consumers often associate with memory foam. One aroma the FTC detected from Relief-Mart’s representations was the whiff of deception, which is why the complaint charged that the company didn’t have a reasonable basis for its claims. A second lawsuit challenged statements in ads by Quebec-based Essentia Natural Memory Foam Company, which has retail stores in six U.S. cities. The FTC charged that Essentia didn’t have appropriate proof to back up claims that its mattresses are VOC-free, have “[n]o chemical off-gassing or odor,” and — unlike other memory foam mattresses that “can emit up to 61 chemicals” — are “free from all those harmful VOCs.” In addition, the complaint disputes Essentia’s claims that its memory foam mattresses are chemical-free, contain no formaldehyde, don’t emit chemical fumes and odors, and are “made with 100% natural materials.” The FTC also challenged the truthfulness of Essentia’s assurance that testing confirms that its memory foam mattresses are VOC- and formaldehyde-free. (An aside about “smell” claims: The FTC doesn’t normally challenge subjective representations like smell. What’s different here is that consumers acting reasonably under the circumstances are likely to interpret a claim that a mattress doesn’t have that memory foam smell to mean that it’s VOC-free.)
I purchased an organic mattress from Essentia for $2,500. I went on to purchase four pillows from this company (nearly $600). While washing the mattress cover for only the second time since purchase, the zipper broke off the cover while on a gentle cycle in the washing machine. I reached out to customer service and they told me that the cover was ruined and would no longer work because the zipper had broke. I asked if the zipper breaking was a common occurrence and the customer service representative said "No, definitely not". Because of this, I asked if maybe I might have received a flawed cover and naturally asked if they could warranty the broken cover, and send me out a new one (mostly b/c I wanted to protect the mattress). This seemed like a no-brainer: the cover I received was defective. Surprisingly, the answer was "No" and that I could, instead, purchase a new cover from their website. I would absolutely 100% not recommend Essentia or their products. I'm sure there are more honourable mattress companies out there that stand behind their products. Because of this, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Put simply, their customer service is appalling.
I actually got a Tatami Essentia bed in fall 2021. It was a single , very comfortable , no smell which is important because I have chemical allergies. It was great , still is. then I ordered another one in spring of 2022 for my guest room. It stank. in the first 2 weeks at least 5 people said 'it stinks of dry cleaning' It gave me a headache every time I went into the room and the company refused to come get it for a month. They refunded me aa82 out 3066. So don't believe what they say about 'money back trial'. The bed kept off gassing basically for a month before they finally came and took it and meanwhile all the clothes stored in that room had become toxic with chemicals and had to thrown away. Even deep cleaning of everything did not succeed in ridding the toxic chemical smell. I later learned i am the the first to partake in this lottery. You either get a great really comfortable bed that you will be thankful for for a long time, or a toxic thing that will cost a fortune to buy, that will contaminate your house and belongings and that you will not get a refund for. good luck.
We purchased a Tatami Organic Mattress before the recent 30 day warranty disclaimer appeared on the website. We didn't open the mattress for a number of months and then it only inflated 5 inches. We were told to give it a few weeks and it would inflate to full height. It never did. We are left with an extra firm, uncomfortable mattress that curls up at the edges. I have been working with customer service to resolve the issue for 4.5 months. Essentia will NOT honor the warranty. My last 4 messages to customer service have not even resulted in a return phone call. I am a repeat customer that has purchased two of their mattresses and still can't get an adequate resolution to the issue. These are expensive mattresses and I expected much better service from a premium mattress company. If you decide to purchase from them, make sure you take screen shots of the warranty coverage and follow it precisely.
I purchased a King Tatami in 2014. By 2018 my 125lb weight had created a large enough dip that they replaced my mattress. I noticed this Spring 2024 that my replacement mattress had also dipped and it too was a large enough dip to warrant a replacement. HOWEVER a new replacement mattress does not mean new warranty. The new 2018 mattress stayed under the original 2014 mattress warranty. So they claimed that since it was over 10 years (by a few months) since the defective mattress of 2014 that they would not replace this 2018 mattress. They would only cover 50% of the price I paid for the 2014 mattress on a new king mattress (and it had to be the same model). So if i wanted a different mattress my discount would not apply. A sneaky limitations and ways to prevent me from using the discount. I was highly disappointed in Esssentia. I thought such a high quality business would stand behind their product. They also examined my bed frame closely and determined it was "ideal support" for my essential mattresses. Why would i ever buy another mattresss from this company when two mattresses failed (I am not heavy in weight) and they will not stand behind their product and replace my second mattress, even though they’ve acknowledged it warrants replacement. You’d also think because this was my second mattress to fall that they would have overlooked that it was only a few months over the 10 year mark. I would never recommend their mattresses for this reason. I just bought my son an XL mattress weeks before they told me they would not exchange my 2018 mattresss. I have been a loyal customer. But I will now return his matress (under the 1 month guarantee or return) and purchase from a company like Endy.
