It’s sturdy and great for my 4 year old. We helped off on putting the desk on until she’s older and just made a play area out of the underneath.

Solid, well built bed. Instructions were fairly easy to read and assembly took about three hours for everything included. We would definitely buy this bed again.
The bed is cute and serves it purpise but there is 1 bad thing... The steps are painful to climb up because of the way they are. They are not flat and my kids complain about it hurting their feet. I have temporarily fixed the prob by putting a pool noodle over them but it takes away from the cute appeal.
My 5 year old son absolutely loves this bed & its so perfect for him! The height is awesome & the wood is decent. The only downsides are that a piece arrived with slight damage and the desk is slightly difficult to pull in and out.
This bed feels solid and is better quality than a lot of furniture out there. The wood isn’t soft like some, so it doesn’t scratch or ding as easy. Looks great, is extremely functional for smaller spaces, and my daughter absolutely loves it. We will be buying another one!
I'm a little bit of a snob about furniture. I want solid wood whenever possible, but at the end of the day I wasn't willing to spend $3,000 on a bed for a six-year-old. I researched as much as I could and read tons of reviews on this bed. At the end of the day I decided that $500 was a reasonable investment for me to take a chance. I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of this bed. We've only been in it 3 weeks so that could change over time, but it seems to be a very sturdy and well-made bed. The important parts are solid wood, the rest of it is MDF but overall, if you know what you're doing when you put it together, you're going to have a very sturdy product. Each component took roughly an hour to assemble. My husband and I assembled the bed together and I did the other three components by myself. I didn't have any problems with holes not lining up or pieces missing or damaged. Everything looked great and went together with relative ease. We were able to get rid of a dresser, a bookcase, a toy bin, and a bed and replace it with just this one piece of furniture with a bonus desk and a nice little area for her to play underneath. I strung up some lights and put a dollhouse under there and she is very happy! Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

The bed looks exactly how it looks in the picture. The bed came in four boxes, one for the bed, one for the desk, one for the bookcase and one for the dresser. I liked that they were separate because it made assembly easier. The bed is also pretty sturdy, it’s not a cheap feeling bed. Assembly was pretty simple once you figure out what pieces are which. One thing that I did not like was the fact that the pieces were not labeled (I took a marker and marked the pieces myself on the bottom of the pieces, which helped greatly) not coming with the pieces labeled was disappointing. I also didn’t like the fact that you can almost see every connection point which is held together by a screw, so there is a lot of the backs of silver screws showing. THose are my only two complaints and had the pieces came labeled and if the bed came with some white circular stickers to cover all the screw insertions I would’ve given a perfect five. But it is perfect for my 7 year old and great value.
Received product in a timely manner. It consisted of 4 boxes. Pieces were color coded, some if them were hard to identify. My husband is a handy man and it took him almost a whole Saturday to put it together. One piece was damaged when we took it out of the box. It was the piece that lets the desk slide in/out. You can't really see it so we decided to keep it. My 3 almost 4 year old loves it!

Nice unit. My husband built it mostly by himself (I helped him here and there), but it took a while because there are many things that go into it.
We haven’t assembled the desk yet but we have assembled everything else. My favorite part is the bed itself. Our 2.5 year old LOVES it and it is easy for her to safely climb up and down. We have a 10 inch mattress on it and the guard rail is still plenty high enough to keep her safe while she sleeps. My husband weighs about 160lbs and he regularly reads books to our daughter in the bed, so it seems able to hold a decent amount of weight. It does not seem to be the type of sturdy bed that will be passed to our great grandchildren, but it’s great for the price. The chest of drawers is a little more flimsy than the bed, but I think it will be able to hold my kids’ blankets and clothes for a long time if they don’t abuse it.
I loved this bed it was easy to put together, took about 6 hours but it’s a beautiful addition to our home. The problem and reason I am giving it one star and sending it back is because it contains lots of cancer causing chemicals and my child will sleep in this bed nightly. I just don’t understand why this company would make children’s furniture with these chemicals.
I think having reasonable expectations goes a long way when you’re buying items that have to be assembled, and you know aren’t solid wood. That being said, this item exceeded my expectations. The drawer, table, and bookcase were the cheaper composite wood I expected with a veneer finish. The drawers instructions were by far the hardest to follow. All other instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The loft bed was made of solid pine, and feels very very sturdy. It’s the perfect height and still allows me to tuck my daughter in at night. The directions were so easy, and took two people exactly one hour to put together. I love that the loft, table, drawers, and bookcase came in separate boxes and were labeled 1 of 4 etc. Unfortunately, box 4 of 4 got lost in the Black Friday and holiday madness, but this seller was EXTREMELY quick to make things right. I didn’t have to plead my case, I just stated what was wrong and they shipped out its replacement quicker than I anticipated.
Awesome!!!! Expect time for putting it together. Everyone who sees it says it's wonderful. My contractor commented on how well made it was. My kids loves it.
We love this bed.We bought one for each of our two children. They are durable and made with real wood. They both (boy & girl) use the open space underneath as a fort/reading play area.

I bought two of these for my sons (6 and 4) and I expected the quality to be better based on the descriptions and other customer reviews. Almost every piece is MDF and the the veneer chips off easily. I have had to reinforce the frame with strategically placed pieces of would and other hardware because the whole structure is rickety. At this price, the product should really be made of better quality materials. I'll give them a few years at best and then they'll be fire kindling. Don't waste your money!
Easy to assemble, looks exactly like picture. 10yr old loves it. Wish bed slats would be sturdier and desk area under bed did not come with all 4 pre-drilled holes (only 2 on one side) Still a good buy.
The product looks great, for except maybe a couple of boards (finished side). I would have given them 5 stars if it wasn’t because they lied in the description. It says it’s made out of wood but in reality is made out of about 25% real wood and the rest is Synthetic material that looks like wood in the outside but you can clearly see (in the pictures attached) that it isn’t. I would still recommend this bed; it has a good price for what it is. But I would have been happier if they didn’t miss lead in the descriptions.
The set up was intense, but the end product is excellent. My sons love their new beds with play space underneath. They are 4 and 6; these beds are perfect!
It’s a cute design but the bed shakes and feels very fragile when my son is on it. I can also feel it shaking a lot when I change the sheets. It just doesn’t feel sturdy at all.
The quality is somewhat poor. Once you put it together things are not as sturdy as they should be, but we didn’t have any problems with damaged pieces or anything and my 3 year old loves her bed. We have several large boxes and a stroller stored underneath, it’s a great space saver. I expect that it will last 5 or 6 years until we buy her something more permanent
If there was an option for 0 stars I would give it. The quality is the worst you can find, bed shakes all the time and was properly assembled. The stain/finish is pretty bad and it was already scratched all over. We bought a similar one for my daughter (without the desk) and herd was cheaper super sturdy- also came with the castle curtain. I would not recommend this brand for anyone. I will post pictures and a video from assembling. Wish we were able to return!

Love it. Ordered for my 6 year olds new bedroom and he loves it too. Looks exactly as described. Comes with care instructions which wasnt expected and greatly appreciated! Each box that came in the mail was to a separate piece so it was super easy to install with separation of items and instructions for each. Wood slats are also close enough together that a matress is all you need- no bunkie board required. I was a little worried about if it would hold my weight (150lbs) to get up on the corner and change the sheets/make the bed but does great when done carefully. Very durable, worth every penny. We dont expect to have a lot of sleepovers or company for a bunk bed so this option was great for a fairly small 10x11 room. No chest of drawers needed for a boy-everything fit nicely either in the drawers included or closet. Dest is easily moved for homework. Storage for a chair is inconvenient but not a deal breaker. Will buy again when my daughter is big enough too.
We had been looking for a new bed for my son and this bed is awesome! He loves the desk and also we left it away from the wall so that he can crawl underneath the bed. He calls it his secret hiding place. The quality is good especially for the cost and we've had multiple people tell us that they want to get one like it for their kids.
I love this bed! It looks nice and has lots of storage (and a cool hideaway space), which makes my son’s room feel bigger. Hubby didn’t have any trouble putting the bed or other pieces together. It took a little time but wasn’t difficult.

It took some time for my husband to put it together but it was well worth it . The shipment was in several boxes so not everything came at once . It is very good quality and my son who’s 6 is very pleased . He absolutely loves and so did we . I was a little nervous to order after reading the reviews but I took a chance because of the better reviews . Definitely happy with this purchase!
So just to start out, the finished product is easily a 4 star product. It's solid, looks nice, and does what it says it will do. There was some damage to the veneer in several places as has been noted by others. What keeps the final product off my 5 star list (in addition to the damage) is because of poor instructions (like everything else) and lack of intelligent engineering. There are several times where a screw or hex bolt must be installed, but there is insufficient clearance to allow standard tools to properly apply torque. Sometimes that situation is unavoidable, but too many times it was just lazy design. What leads me to knock an additional star off the product involves the assembly of the set. First and foremost, there were several screws missing from the bed kit. Now a quick trip to the shed was able to remedy the situation, but not everyone has a shed full of hardware. Secondly and most importantly, there were times when I had to drill pilot holes in order to keep from splitting the wood when I was installing screws. There were times where had I followed the instructions (poorly written as they were) I would have damaged the furniture. Also because of the poor instructions, pre-drilled pilot holes would have made positioning various pieces much easier. If following a company's directions may lead to damaging the piece you're trying to build, I have to knock off a star. Oh and yes it happened to me the first time a screwed a screw into a piece without a pilot hole. I used a little wood glue to repair the damage and used a small drill bit to make pilot holes for the rest of the build.
The bed didn’t come with instructions so I went to the Donco website to print them. The instructions from the website and the material for the bed do not match. Now I’m stuck with a bed that I can’t put together. So what now? Am I supposed to pay $200 to have someone assemble it??! Will I have to purchase a new bed? If I do that then what will I do with the desk? This is so frustrating. I need some assistance!!!
I absolutely love the bed and all the pieces that came with it. I bought it for my five-year-old grandson and he absolutely loves it too! He loves the fact that he has a little cubby or Clubhouse under his bed. It is time consuming to put together. I put it together by myself. I'm sure if I'd had a second person to help it would have taken far less time. The instructions are easy to follow. The fact that it was time-consuming to put together does not subtract any stars from the actual finished product. It was worth the work.
