Very sturdy, however...
Affordable. Arrived well packaged. Very sturdy and simple assembly. Space underneath is very generous. One downside (for us) is that the box spring / mattress did not stay in place. There are no barriers holding the box spring / mattress in place. This causes a great deal of shifting and becomes annoying.

I am disappointed with the smartbase. The center support (foot) is further out than the end ones. I stumbled my toes more than once. I will be returning this item. Do not recommend.

This is a very sturdy a base and overall are very happy with the purchase. The only thing that is rough is the center posts. The are right at the place your foot would be for tucking in kids or getting into the bed. I ended up wrapping a towel around the bottom of the base legs to prevent toe fractures. :) Otherwise it's a great price for a great base.

Quick and Easy to Assemble
I was able to assemble in about 30 minutes by myself with no help. Only issue I experienced was not paying attention to which side of the Casper mattress was the top and had to flip it after it was removed from the vacuum packing.

Misleading
I received one twin bed frame. Should have read the negative reviews when comparing prices with other places. The construction is solid. I have not received my mattress yet. If it will slide off the bed, I will return the bed frame.

I wish the legs were set in a little bit more from the sides to prevent stubbing toes, not otherwise, really solid but minimal. Easy to set up.

Strong and firm support for Mattress (without need for a foundation). More than meets Mattress Manufacturer requirements for support. Easy to set up and too move in future even though it is Queen Sized. only quibble is that there is NO easy way to connect to Headboard. SmartBase is not set up for it and would be much better if it did.

so far..so good. quick delivery..easy to set up. King size. no noise. I have noticed that our mattress does tend to slide a bit. If it becomes a problem I will put a rubber mat or maybe an anti-slip rug pad. My only warning is to watch out for areas where the finish is not smoothed. I cut my hand on a sharp edge while setting it up.

Easy to set up and sturdy. Great space underneath for storage. Our only complaint was that we kept kicking the two middle side posts (ouch in bare feet). They are very close to the edge. So we took some pipe insulation foam tubes and taped them to the posts. A bed skirt hides them. Now when we kick them, no pain!

I just needed something immediate for a new mattress in a new place. It's very sturdy. Fairly easy to assemble--but I'm a small woman, and really could have used (needed?) a second body, even for emotional support. Very heavy (which makes it sturdy) and obviously quite wide!
Nice set; good quality
We purchased 2 sets of this item. It was a good price. The quality is very good. The pieces are pretty large, be sure to measure to make sure you have room for it all. We will have to put a piece in the garage for later use when we move. We are very happy with our purchase.

Bed nice, base bad
There are only 3 slats provided. Huge gaps between the slats. No way this can support King & Cal King mattresses. And the provided slats are so weak. You need cut plywood and make your own slats or you need put mattress on box springs which may require yet another purchase - a ladder to climb on bed.

Excellent Value
Lots of value with this set. Quality is very good for the price. I recommend this furniture and the white glove delivery service. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the dresser drawers are not all flush and I think it has to do with the rounded face of the dresser. A few drawers may be off by 1/8" to 3/16" is all. It doesn't bother me but a perfectionist may not like it.

Disappointed in return process
We were very happy with our first set (rated 5/5), but we recently moved to a new home and the bedroom set was damaged by the movers. We ordered the same item as a replacement, but when it came there was a scratch on the dresser and one of the drawers in the chest did not operate properly. So we elected to return it. This is where our real problems started. Costco was great about arranging for the return, but the company that came to pick up the furniture seemed to be quite inexperienced. First of all, they were not aware they were supposed to perform "white glove" service, which to us means they will disassemble the furniture and remove it. They asked to borrow an electric screwdriver and got to work. Unfortunately, they dropped one of the night stands and it hit the corner of a wall, gouging out a 3" piece of drywall, puncturing the wall in two other places, and taking a chunk out of the floor molding. To their credit they notified us of the accident immediately and called their office to start a claim. We heard from the office right away and sent pictures of the damage. That was six days ago and we have not heard back. Summing up, we don't have a bedroom set now and our brand new house is significantly damaged, with no idea how the issues will be resolved.

Loved the design so ordered it. Was even better than I expected. Beautiful hardwoods, very sturdy in design, true cherry mahogany color. Now I wish I had ordered the side pieces to the set.
Perfect for my adjustable bases.
No problems with this frame after a good couple of months. Love the finish and design, and the build quality seems nice and solid especially for the price. The best part for me is that my split king size adjustable bases fit inside the king size frame with just enough room.

Quality is good, not great. Appearance is nice though. Wish it had soft close drawers. Drawers take more effort to close than almost all dressers I have used.

With a box springs and mattress you need a ladder to get into the bed. It’s so high. The color is beautiful but ended up returning it.

Fantastic, but large, bedroom set
Furniture: This is a fabulous, quality, and gorgeous bedroom set. We are thrilled with it! We'd never ordered even a piece of furniture on-line without first seeing it in person, "kicking the tires" and testing it out, but this set looked so good on-line and the other reviews gave us confidence to try. The set is large, but true to the dimensions. We found laying tape out on the floor to show how it would fit in the room gave us greater confidence that it was the right one for us. The pieces are solid and heavy. The only issue we note is that the drawer glide hardware feels a bit cheaper than the rest of the set. All in all, the look, color, and quality is fantastic. We are very happy with the product. Given the height of the dresser, the mirror (if mounted above the dresser) would be very large and quite high. Even with cathedral ceilings in our bed room, we opted not the put the mirror up. If we had the option of getting this set without the mirror, it would be a welcome savings of cost and carbon footprint for something that we do not see ourselves using.
Better than expected!
My husband and I looked for more than a year for the right bedroom set. Since we purchase so many things from Costco, we decided to purchase "this collection". It was better than expected. It's beautiful! The quality is heavy and sturdy. The color is rich. For the first time in 15 years, we had enough storage for our clothes. With the white glove service, the delivery people setup everything and discarded all of the boxes and packing. We're very happy with this bedroom set.

The bedroom set is just as pictured on the Costco website. The delivery company kept me posted through the process on the status of my shipment and all of my items arrived in excellent condition. The delivery and setup was quick and the guys cleaned up and took all the boxes away afterwards. Very satisfied with this purchase.
The beds need more clear instruction
We bought the beds and found that there were only three slats there. So we have to buy more slats by ourselves to support the heavy mattress. The customer service told us that we should use a box on the bed, but why there is no additional detailed notes or remainder while we buy the beds? So please show more clear pictures and more detailed descriptions with the beds to make sure everyone can know what is the real situation of the beds.
Beautiful set
We really like this set. It’s solid and looks really nice. My only annoyance with it is with the nightstands. The top piece is supposed to pull out to allow something to rest in it- it is not sturdy once pulled out. I’m wondering if this was an install flaw. Otherwise it really is beautiful.

I had ordered bed sets from two other places, based on photos. I was sadly disappointed. I was skeptical about this but knew Costco’s great return policy and I liked the photos so I ordered the 6 pc cal king set. The delivery and set up was done very quickly and professionally! The set is gorgeous!! I’m a very particular person and this was perfect! The wood is a beautiful rich color and the hardware also looks and feels very heavy and well done! The drawers pull all the way out and there are so many of them! Every time I go into my room I stop to look at it, it’s so beautiful! Only drawback is that the pull out trays on the night stands don’t pull all the way out. It sort of wobbles if you try. To me not a big deal.
Quality, beauty and Costco value
Beautiful, sturdy all wood bed. The color is cherry wood, reddish brown. The delivery was quicker than stated, like a week. They will call and schedule it since its large and in three boxes. I just love it, transforms the whole room to elegant!

Still waiting
I am so unbelievably disappointed with my experience with Costco.com & will likely never use it again. The furniture took a very long time to get here, but it is a big set, so that's fine. Actually I will not post all my negative feedback about the actual delivery here as they use a different company, Metropolitan Warehouse. Anyway, the next day I realized there was a huge scratch on the headboard. I called Costco & the man I talked to apologized & said it would be no problem to get a replacement out right away. Over a week later I still hadn't heard anything so I called again. The man never put the order through! So another apology & was told that they would get back to me in 1-2 business days. This is now day 3 & nothing! I have been waiting to get my new mattress delivered knowing that it would be a lot easier to replace the headboard without having to deal with a foundation & mattress - & I don't trust now that they wouldn't destroy my new mattress - so I'm still sleeping on an air mattress. This is not the Costco experience that I expected as the service I get in the store is amazing. I'm furious!
Partially satisfied
We also bought a mattress and box spring foundation with it. But Costco does not allow for low profile foundation which we needed as bed is to high. We are now having to buy a second foundation as we were told by Costco we could not exchange for a low profile foundation unless we brought every thing back, get credit and start all over again. We like the frame and the mattress; it’s the foundation that is to high!
